   Generally I love Cafe rouge and we went in to celebrate adopting our children. We had somewhere to go onto and had left an hour and a half for food. The restaurant was really empty but service was so slow that our children did not have time for dessert before we had to leave (this was part of their menu). I oredered the four cheese pancakes. They were obviously pre made and had been microwaved/ baked to within an inch of their lives. They came in a little pot and were both dry and stodgy at the same time. They also came with a tiny tiny salad in a little bowl. No dog cam let ask if we were ok or if our food was ok and overall it was really really disappointing.

   We had a nice dinner but I found it rather pricey for what it was. Service was OK, but our vegetables turned up half way through eating our main course - a pity.

   The service we receive from Deb was amazing, she was very enthusiastic and passionate about her workplace and the food. The food itself was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. On the other hand, the drinks were overpriced around £8 for a large wine and our overall bill came to over £80 and that was with money off one of the mains as we had a voucher. To improve I think the pricing should be reevaluated. Overall though a lovely lunch experiences that was timed well, to a high standard and a pleasure.

   We eat breakfast here often but had never had dinner before, it was a nice atmosphere not to noisy nice for conversation, meal wasn't the cheapest but was very good and the service was excellent. Will have dinner here again and would recommend.
