Food was good, but a little pricey and I don't think the food was worth the cost
Food was great but place needs some renovations. Doors were so heavy they needed to station someone to open and close it. Restrooms were very dimly lit. Food was sow to come out and the server forgot my drink order.
Food and service were perfect. We had a great time.
Awesome as usual- the Panna Cotta was Delish!
Nice and delicious 👍
I came here for my birthday. The food was nothing special. We waited a long time to see a server. When we mentioned this to the bus boy he quickly called the manager. The manager was gracious and apologetic. He tried to make things right by offering us some champagne on the house. This was a very nice gesture. Unfortunately the food fell short. We have dined here in the past and have had a great experience. That is why we are still rating this as 3 stars. I'm not sure what is going on now but the food was terrible with very limited options. I hope that they will improve these issues. This restaurant has a lot of potential.
Dining on Café Pinot’s patio continues to be an excellent experience. Great ambience and excellent food. The spa menu was very good and service was great
Good service, wonderful location but the food was uninspired. Like the food was prepared and just reheated. Pea agnolotti was dry, vegetables were fresh but nothing really but the broth of the vegetables. Hamachi seemed to be in the fridge too long, Fish special cooked well but same veggies as pasta dish and extremely small portions even for LA and for the price. Salad decent but once again small.
Café Pinot is my favorite "special" restaurant. It just feels good to be there (especially eating outside when the weather's nice) and the food & wine choices are wonderful. Grace is a wonderful server, gracious and knowledgeable. Her recommendations are always good.
Once again we enjoyed their lovely patio before the theater. Always great service, and a menu with just enough choices to keep us happy. Can’t recommend it enough.
We thought the menu was very limited. Our server was great. One guest enjoyed the Jidori chicken, while another had the special fish which was very dry. Wine way out of line expensive.
Great service and delicious food. Loved the outdoor patio.
The cuisine is excellent, super fresh. The ambiance is nice, especially outdoors, lots of trees and greenery. Staff is friendly.
The food was really bad :(
very disappointed. salad was very small and mediocre.
Bread pudding tasted awful. Waiter had a dirty apron.
Salmon was good but the rest of the meal poor.
Some in our party ordered the sliced beef --
very dry and tasteless
What an awesome evening sitting on the patio. Grace, our server, was knowledgable, attentive and engaging. We very much enjoyed the new seasonal menu. We had the beet and fig salad....yummy and a combination of the dessert cheese plate and charcuterie. We are returning Saturday for a repeat!
The location is amazing. Outdoor seating is particularly nice. The cuisine is excellent and very well prepared. Who knew a beet salad with smoked cheese would be that good?
This was our second visit, but not our last.
Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I look forward to our next occasion for which we can dine here.
Another great meal at Cafe Pinot!
Lovely restaurant with splendid food and service. Just need the music turned down!
Second time eating there. Awful, AC was turned off in dining room, no windows open, the place needs a remodel, the menu very limited and the food just okay. Had to ask for a place setting. Wait staff uninterested in service. You don’t get points for eating there even if you request it when making the reservation. Suppose if you worked DTLA you might go, I would think twice about that, but there is no reason to go there if its out of your way.
Cafe Pinot is our go to restaurant. The outdoor dining area is relaxed, sincere and quiet. And shaded thank goodness.
The staff is spot on. Just the right amount of interaction, and attention to detail.
Our last visit we were not extraordinarily hunger so we chose the fennel salad, the hamachi and the burrata. Definitely would recommend all three. And even without us saying a thing, the kitchen split our starters and did not skimp on the presentation.
Highly recommend becoming a regular.
I dined at Cafe Pinot twice in the space of a week, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food on both occasions was very good - well prepared and attractively presented. The menu is compact but still offers a good range of choices. I had two different fish main courses, both of which were excellent. The pea agnolotti was plate-licking good but came with only four pieces of the pasta so was not as substantial as I had expected. The two-course spa menu offered at lunch is a great value. My only reservation about this place is that the wine list is ridiculously overpriced.
Your menu was wonderful. Service was great, even better than wonderful. Meals were very special. Great job....I will be back.
David, Grace and Jorge are all fantastic.
$6 wine at happy hour
We liked the butter lettuce salad better than the new Caesar.
We were celebrating our anniversary. Everything was perfect!
Food is always delicious at Cafe Pinot, and they have wonderful cocktails as well. We were fortunate to have an incredible pre fixe from Blackboard Eats, and it was fabulous!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience. George and Grace provided excellent service and the food was very good. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Always terrific meals here. Great food. Excellent service starting with hostess Olivia. We love our wonderful server Michael. Kudos also to Grace, Sandra and manager George. They always know how to make us feel special while serving the delicious dishes that Café Pinot is known for. This is one of our "go to" favorites and definitely worth the drive from the Santa Clarita Valley.
Excellent food ,matching service. The terrace is lovely. Will be back every time we visit LA.
Exquisite food in an exquisite setting. Manager George made us feel at home and server Michael was the consummate professional. Beyond the din of the trendy downtown restaurants, here one can hear conversation, soak in the lovely surroundings and enjoy fabulous food.
We had the BBE menu and the food courses were delicious. We enjoyed the wine pairing with the meal. Our server, Grace, was very attentive and kept the food and wine moving very nicely for our dinner. The manager, George, was very friendly and made sure we were having a good dinner.
Good food and wine collection.
Outdoor seating surrounded by olive trees is very nice.
Great ambiance whether you sit inside or out. David, our server was second to none. Made a great meal even better. Thank you!
Great decor, and the food was presentable. The cod was seared to perfection, but the tuna niçoise salad was over dressed. Overall, a pleasant place to dine in DTLA
The food was good enough but we were surprised that there was so little to choose from. I like choice. The wine , bread and salads were excellent. The service was excellent but just the limited food selection was a surprise. There was not a lot of people eating there that night. I used to come and it was vibrant with a great crowd, especially before theater.
Nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining right next to the library. The outdoor patio is great when the weather is right. Service and food were both very good. I have been there several times and definitely recommend it.
Delicious. I understand they have a new chef. The menu is limited which I like very much. The outdoor dining is without comparison. It is so beautiful at night. Love this place.
Fair location outside- quiet during our dinner. Some small and large plate items were not available. Very confusing because of the supposed reputation of the restaurant. Dessert was spartan- we were given gelato because what we wanted was not available. Waiter was gracious , kind and apologetic. Food server plopped down food as if he had other things to do!
Is this restaurant going out of business???
Everything was fantastic!
Service by Jorge was exceptional. Tasting menu was creative and delicious. Salmon was the best I have ever eaten , and it is not something I would normally choose. Hamachi tartare was delicious. A wonderful dining experience
