Café Paradisio offers plenty of excellent entrée choices, too. Some of our most popular entrees include the Mediterranean Wild Salmon, Chicken Marsala, Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Duck Breast, Lasagna with your choice of Sicilian Sausage or Meatballs, a mean macaroni & cheese, as well as our Cajun Seafood Fettuccini. Do not forget to save room for the house-made desserts at Café Paradisio. .
Will definitely go back. Food was great and service was good too. We went early (5:30) and was glad to see the place filling up as we were leaving.
We've been to this restaurant several times, and always enjoy dining here. From the delicious food, to the kind and professional service, all very good. This last visit I felt the food was being served too quickly (soups were served before we were done with our appetizer), so I asked the server to slow it down, and give us a bit more time between courses. She was very polite about our request, and we had an enjoyable, leisurely meal.
Food, as always, was delicious and well presented. I love all the interesting choices although it makes deciding what to order a challenge as I want to try it all.
Cafe Paradisio is the place, the place where you go for quality food, casual atmosphere, quaint seating and Amazing Service. On this visit I personally had the Cucumber Soup (cold) which was unique and tasty, followed by Salmon. Everything about our dining experience was 5 Stars!!! Thank you for a great night out.
Out standing dining experience! I put, 'fair' for value because the portions are small for the price. I love eating there but I leave still hungry...
We have been to Cafe Paradisio a few times, and have always enjoyed the food. The chef is very creative and they offer unique dishes, crafted from fresh ingredients. We started with the pork belly and spinach salad appetizer, which was outstanding! The pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the salad was delicious albeit a bit spicy. I had the lasagne, with a side of sausage and Tantardini's garlic bread, all of which were delicious. My wife ordered the rib eye steak, which was a special. She asked for it medium-rare, but it was more medium cooked; very little pink on the inside. In all fairness, it was a very thin steak, which is difficult to get medium-rare, but we felt it should have been advertised as a thin cut steak. Our server was attentive, but not overly so, and very sociable.
Loved the dinner. the food is delicious. We will be returning. The music was outstanding...just a little hard to visit in such a small place.
They ad a nice table waiting. The woman waiting our table was really gracious and made an effort to have everything just right. We felt very taken care of. And the food was excellent. We are from a ‘foodie’ place and are pretty good cooks ourselves, so sometimes when we eat out we are disappointed but not this time. We had scallops really well prepared and Cajun seafood fettuccine both excellent.
Appearances can be deceiving. If I hadn’t seen a story on the wall that this was it’s 6th year of business I would have thought it was still in the stage of trying to get things right.
While the ambiance is upscale the food didn’t turn out to be.
The baked Brie was over baked and melted flat on the plate.
My Pesto Penne Pasta was, in reality, an Alfredo with dried basil was mixed in. Sadly the Alfredo was over ladled into the pasta so it was soupy thickened with clumps of Parmesan.
What a wonderful dinner! Perfect for date night with my husband. We have a small suite of restaurants we frequent in the Redding area and this one is now near the top of our list! If you're looking for a very well prepared, thoughtfully sourced, tasteful experience, this is the place. I had the Beet Salad as a starter and Chicken Marsala entree. I asked to substitute veggies for the pasta in the entree & the chef prepared a delicious mix of roasted vegetables for me. The Marsala sauce was exceptional! My husband had the New York Strip steak and bourbon sweet potatoes - both were fantastic and the mint gelato was unique and refreshing for dessert. Our server was new and we really enjoyed him. He worked very hard to please us and was very charming, despite being new on the job. We will definitely be back - frequently!
Amazing food, great atmosphere, excellent service. Definitely my new favorite place to go.
The food is some of the best in Redding with a small quaint atmosphere. I bring my out of town guest there for my 1st choice .
Every dish ordered was not only beautiful and delicious.
Absolute worst lasagna I have ever had. Microwaved, soggy, bad sauce. I was shocked. My guest had same and pushed it away and left hungry.
Food, ambiance and service was excellent. Menu will please most anyone, Just disappointed we were to early for the 7pm live music, will have to plan on that next time
This was our first time at Cafe Paradisio. We were very pleased and will definitely be returning.
I made reservation for Valentine's Day for 6:00PM. After confirmation I received a call the next day stating that I would need to change the time so I decided on 5:30PM. I was hopeful that this was an isolated issue and I really had no problem doing so, but as my experience unfolded it seemed to be the norm.
We were seated promptly and our waitress was very courteous and efficient. As a matter of fact, all the personnel working that evening were very attentive and seemed to really care about making customers were taken care of.
When we were presented with the menu, I was taken back by the fact that we were only given the choice of the Valentine's Day special menu. When I made the reservation and even looked on line, there was no indication this was the case. My wife and I are not big eaters but we were basically forced to order two meals, strawberry champagne and a desert. At this point I am thinking that maybe I should have inquired but after some thought I believe this should have been stated up front.
After sitting with my wife for a little over an hour and had eaten, we were told we would have to leave our table and sit at the bar to finish our drinks so the next customers could have our seats. I travel quite a bit and was taken back that we were asked to do this as I have never experienced this before.
We ended up finishing our romantic dinner at the bar and felt a little disappointed with our evening. We did make the best of it and chalked it up to the fact that we may not be coming back for a Valentine's dinner here again.
On a positive note, I think this place would be a good stop for a regular meal or just some drinks when it is not pressed to serve so many customers. We intend to try it on a regular evening as it seems that may be what they are better at. I will be happy to leave a positive review at that time if my intuition is correct.

Food, ehhh... choice filet mignon hard to believe it was choice. Asked for red in the middle, came totally raw. Normally I’m good with pink through your, but this was ambient temp in the middle. Fire shrimp was cool, odd temp for that appetizer.
Others said their food was ok, nothing great.
Sadly not worth the cost to go back.
I’ll stick with the view, moonstone, Market street and Clearies.
We've had dinner at Cafe Paradisio a couple times now, and have enjoyed it very much both times. The food is fresh and delicious, and I noticed they have gluten free options. Not an issue for me, but it's important to our son. Service is outstanding! Friendly, helpful, and I very much appreciate that they don't try to rush you to order. I like to relax and take my time, and this is a great place for that. We have not been here for lunch, or for the live music on Friday nights so I can't speak to those, but both are options for anyone wanting that. My only criticism is there is only one bathroom, and that's unisex so all customers must share. Not too much of a problem when there aren't many people, but I imagine there's a line waiting on busy nights.

Longer serving things that are still on the menu which was a bit disappointing. Overall a pleasant dinner, but didn’t quite hit the excellence I was hoping for looking at the menu online.
We tried out this restaurant for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately there was only one chef on at 5 PM and we had to wait 50 minutes for our food. The food was fantastic though. Another slight issue is that our waiter didn’t appear to know the menu. Also the menus advertise one thing but it isn’t necessarily what they actually serve. My husband ordered the New York cheesecake and they brought him out a chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake even though the waiter insisted it was a New York cheesecake. He also forgot that the steaks were served with a side and my husband had to actually ask about getting his side salad after he took our orders and came back. Overall the staff were very friendly and the food was great though.
The seasonal special watermelon salad was outstanding. The chef's special pork tenderloin was also excellent. And great homemade deserts, cheesecake and homemade ice cream. The server was friendly and attentive and the chef came out to speak to each table.
We celebrated a pre-Father’s Day dinner with my husband and teen kids. Menu choices worked well for everyone. Service and food quality were excellent.
First timer finding reasonably priced wines with a wide variety of choices settling on the halibut and salmon, both delicious with great presentation. Will be back for more!
Small restaurant with big deliverance. Ecclectic menu of great tasting food. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Prices were a little high for fixed income retirees but well worth the cost.

We had a splendid meal. My daughter enjoyed the vegetarian options, and my husband was able to order a paleo meal. The ahi and rice on my bowl were cooked to perfection, and the dipping sauces added fun and flavor. Ambience is chill and cozy. I could see this as a good date restaurant, but also friendly to family gatherings like ours.
Great foodie restaurant with interesting dishes and several specials each day. Nice upscale place for special occasions.

For starters, NO bread and butter/olive oil was served, only about 7 Pistachios in a Martini glass that you had to peel. My order : Chicken Marsala was served in a large soup plate. The pasta shells, that the chicken was bedded on, were watery and tasteless. There was a cut up chicken breast on top. It was flavored something different than you would expect. The chicken was not covered with sauce. There was maybe a tablespoon of creamy gravy with a few mushroom slices on the side of the plate. My husband had Cajon Seafood Fettucini. It seemed more substantial than my meal. I came home hungry, but was not willed to pay an enormous amount of money for a dessert. We thought it was overpriced. On a Saturday night there were only 3 tables occupied, ours was one of them. The menu seemed to wanting to appear somewhat exotic! Asian flavor mixed with Italian. Soup or salad would be extra as well. It was a disappointing experience.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent! The Mediterranean Salmon was delicious! I can see why our server said this was a popular dish! I suggest going on Friday evenings around 7pm when they have live bands. It’s a relaxing atmosphere.
The atmosphere was cozy and intimate as it is not a large restaurant, it was a Friday evening and therefore we enjoyed live music. Mellow well done guitar music. Good service, nice variety on the menu, very good food! Will be back soon.

The service was great. The food was okay I had the the Mediterranean Salad with cold shrimp it was very tasty. My husband had the Linguica Burger expecting spicy but it wasn't he also had the Garlic fries they were just okay.
