Cafe Old Vienna
We had a late lunch reservation at 2:30 pm on Saturday! Our first visit to the restaurant and we are happy to have discovered this gem!
Our 3 different dishes were all excellent and we will be returning for sure! The Happy Hour Menu looks amazing as well!
Don’t miss this restaurant if you are in the area!!!
We love it there. We eat there 2-3 times a month. Food is great!
Great dinner for our anniversary weekend. I think this was the best meal we had all weekend! We will return again!
Great classic German food!
Will go back every time we are in town.
Great food. Great ambience. This was a great find on our recent trip to Myrtle Beach.
Food was very good! Being from Delaware, we are still very much used to strict Covid regulations when dining out. Obviously, none of those apply in SC, as we have experienced in the past 10 Days. But overall, we would very much recommend and go back again.
Delicious food, especially the schnitzel and beer cheese soup. Lovely desserts.
I asked my partner to spend my birthday there and try the German food and everything was very tasty and to finish the delicious dessert, thank you for your services
Great selection of German, Austrian and (some) Hungarian classic food. German pub atmosphere with live accordion music some evenings. German beer and wine selection is super, too. Service is on point. This is our favorite place to eat in Myrtle Beach.
Highly recommend. Everyone in our party enjoyed everything.
Another customer brought a dog to dinner, waiter had hard time cause the dog kept barking. I’m afraid of dogs. The deck boards and railing could use a little help .
We have been to the Cafe Old Vienna and never have been disappointed. Food and service is great. We can’t wait to go back there. Thanks.
We had made a reservation two weeks in advance, upon arrival we were informed wait would be 25-30 minutes, we waited 33 minutes. What is the point of making a reservation if we then have to wait?? Others coming in after us were seated. Music was too loud.
Food was great and service was GREAT.
The food was very authentic and delicious! We will be back.
Food was delicious. Enjoyed the accordion player. Will be back soon.
We shared the German Feast for two that was spectacular! Schnitzel, bratwurst and knock wurst with red cabbage and all the fixings!
Service was fantastic and we will be back!
Fantastic this dining is great food -- service and excellent music. Quality and quantity great
Excellent corned beef and cabbage Irish dinner.
Look no further. Best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Avoid the chains. This is true German food with an excellent selectionof authentic beer. Fantastic service. Wonderful people.
Awesome German food. Great service and a great energy/environment. Had someone playing music when we went. Will definitely go back.
food was above expectations. music set the tone. and the service was timely and pleasanr
Great food! Great Service!
My wife and I have eaten here once before, and my biggest fear was this experience not living up to that first amazing meal. Well, it not only lived up to it, this meal far exceeded it. Just an amazing place, great service and quaint atmosphere. Highly, very highly recommended.
Good was authentic German fare. Good selection of standard german beers. We had Saurbraten with potato dumplings and spaetzle. Portion size was good. We were not there for the accordion guy. Would eat there again.
Have not eaten german food for years since being diagnosed with celiac disease. This was such a treat! Pork schnitzel, red cabbage, potato salad, and sauerkraut! Excellent.
Husband had Goulash that was outstanding!! ( Not gf).
Will be visiting again!
We are regulars at COV. We enjoy the food, enjoy the accordion music when Joe is playing. The Martina and her staff are friendly and attentive. And make sure you save room for dessert!
Worth the effort. Portions large, desserts even more so. Waitstaff very attentive. Can't wait to visit again!
Being German I am always looking for authentic German food. My grandmother operated 2 restaurants in Erlangen(Bavaria) and I have some of her original recipes. Having found you on the internet my wife ,grandson and I drove up from Charleston. What we experienced was very disappointing. The schnitzel appeared to be portion pack meat, taken out of a freezer and put in a microwave. In order to fix potato salad you boil new potatoes in their skin , let them cool ,remove skin and SLICE them into a mixture of oil , vinegar ,egg ,mustard ,nutmeg etc. Your potato salad had no taste. The pretzels were good texture but far from authentic. You have been in business for a long time and your restaurant was packed. I am disappointed that all those people thought they were eating authentic German food.
Very pleasent experience.Food was excellent.Beer was great.Service was great. Music made everything better.
Awesome Southern German/Austrian food . I am Bavarian and I will go back many times for a taste of home I don’t have to cook! Very authentic and tasty! Especially the Sauerkraut! But everything was good. The service was great and the owner is a gracious Austrian host.
This restaurant and food were just perfect. When we come to Myrtle Beach this is one place that we have do go.
Seated immediately, staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Food was perfectly cooked and delicious.
Authentic German/Austrian food. Great entertainment.
If you like the potential of a side of COVID with your Spatzle this is the place to be.
Governor’s Order: “restaurant employees must still wear facial coverings indoors”. NOT here. I watched a server protect his chin from the virus - where he had his mask located for the entire 45 minutes I was there- pulled down on his chin and neck. Saw him sing a birthday song to a table, maskless, within 2 feet of people’s faces. It was just gross! I also saw a man behind the bar maskless. I am visiting from another state that has a state-wide mask mandate so I realize I am observing things from a different lens. But the SC governor still has a few restaurant mandates in place and the city of Myrtle B has local ordinance about masks. Old Vienna - you should be enforcing these mandates.
We had great service. The food was hot, however, the beef we ordered was not as good as the pork dish we ordered during our first visit. The bratwurst are very good but the bread is not hot. After eating the overcooked beef I am not sure if I want to go back, because I like good food all the time.
Our first visit to Cafe Old Vienna was a wonderful experience. The ambience, food and service were exceptional and we will definitely return when we are in the area.
We were next to Joe the accordionist. It was a lot of fun. The food, as always, was excellent. Ask for Maddy for your server. She’s the best! I heartily recommend COV. We are regulars there and have always enjoyed it.
Not the good feeling we’ve had in other German restaurants.
Cafe Old Vienna always delivers the best experience, food & service in Myrtle Beach. Be sure to give them a try, you will not be disappointed!
Great good, great atmosphere. I really like the live accordion player. He makes it fun. Service was great, too. No complaints.
