Great evening, everything was perfect!
The Modern never disappoints. We love the food and the desserts!
We had the salmon entree. I have had it over a dozen times here and it is usually quite nice. This time though, the Brussels sprouts and the sliced white onions were dumped ice cold into the bowl. We asked for new veggies on the side to share so we could eat the salmon while hot. The assistant manager brought us a warm, not hot, side bowl of pickled sliced carrots which did not compliment our salmon entree at all. Finally someone brought us Brussels sprouts and onions that were hot and delicious, although so late and salmon was long gone. Our server was wonderful but the food today was very disappointing.
The setting is very difficult to beat. The service and the food were excellent as well.
The ambiance was great. The food was tremendous. The staff was very courteous. Highly recommend.
A great evening of visiting the museum, enjoying the lights, sipping one of the signature cocktails and enjoying the food. It is a bit loud, but the menu is innovative, vegetarian friendly and tasty.
This is such a GEM. Service is excellent and ambiance is unparalleled.
We had a wonderful lunch overlooking the water. Our server as well as others helping her were all friendly and helpful. Great experience!!
Meals there are always so peaceful, overlooking the water feature that is between the cafe and the museum.
I dined for lunch with my daughter. It was a delightful experience and the food was delicious and beautifully prepared.
Only criticism is that giving our order took a little longer than expected. Otherwise everything was very good. Will definitely return for another visit!
New menu is great…something for everyone. Pleasant service, great setting!
Always a treat to spend Friday night with a little art and a meal. The ambiance of the dining room is beautiful and busy enough but not too much. Our server (can’t remember name) was sensitive to my needs (I was STARVING) and brought me a little extra bread ASAP. Lovely end to a busy work week.
Great as always. Wonderful service, beautiful views, comfortable seating, delicious food.
Delicious delectables! Fantastic service! Beautiful ambiance! Thank you!
This is the best "in town getaway" we have. The food and service are excellent. The menu changes often, sometimes to sync with an exhibit in the museum, but it's always imaginative, well-executed and thoroughly delicious. Give yourself a treat and check it out.
Lunch at The Modern sets the tone for your day! A wonderful lunch in a relaxing atmosphere.
Always a wonderful place to take guests. Never is disappointing. Staff is excellent and so attentive to details!!! One of my very favorite places to eat in Fort Worth. Wouldn't change a thing!
The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. It was served promptly and was fresh and hot. The cheesecake is the best I've ever had!
Always a great, tranquil view from the dining room. Pricey, but good food.
A great place to celebrate a special occasion; I never feel rushed.
Cocktails and split a hamburger before seeing the new Avery exhibit. Sat outside. Fabulous!
Fantastic selection for Sunday brunch and reasonably priced
Interesting ambiance. Really disappointed in the food. Expensive for what you get.
I love the service and food. The noise level makes conversations difficult .
The wait staff and manager were working very hard. They were courteous and knowledgeable. We would definitely go there again.
Nice meal but they still insist on the silly obedience mask.
Two orderd grain bowl. Not good at all. Had to ask for butter and salt and pepper If a roll is served please sere butter. No spoon to stir tea.
We keep wanting to love love love the Modern as an entire evening entertainment. Acoustics are retched with the sound slamming into hard surfaced walls of stone in lobby and restaurant.
It was painful to wait for such lengthy periods after we ordered our meals. Once the food arrived it was very good but again, lonnnng wait for our plates to be removed after we finished. The desserts menu looked completely unappetizing. While wait staff was very pleasant, they appeared to be crushed by the full dining room demands. Too bad as we had come to view one of The Modern’s Magnolia films which was great. Next time we will eat elsewhere!
Beautiful room, great view, inventive cuisine with fresh ingredients.
Was worried about service but we had no issues!!! Food was great, restaurant was bustling and setting was beautiful as ever!
Everything was outstanding. However, the noise level was becoming so loud we decided to leave. We wanted to converse more and had to find a quieter place to continue the conversation. I think all the hard surfaces amplify voices and people make it worse by talking louder in order to be heard.
Excellent food and amazing service! You cannot beat the ambiance and the beautiful view of the museum's water features.
I ordered the Benedict Eggs. It was soggy and after 4 overcooked eggs we gave up.
This is always a standard visit for us when visiting the museum district, and it never fails to satisfy.
Nice setting, but food and drinks were a bit pricey for the quality.
I love the ambiance here. Simple yet a certain elegance to it with the water surrounding us. Don't sit on the glass! Vents blow cold air there and it is u comfortable. They know it and will provide a wrap if you want. Service was good, not exceptional. Two of us had the pork belly which was exceptional. One had the Migas and raved about it. The other had eggs, sausage and toast and he loved the sausage. The meal was really, really good. Would highly recommend the brunch.
The biscuit was undercooked (raw in the middle)and the chicken salad has grissle in the meat- ugh
the butternut squash soup was to die for ...thanks
Menu was varied and delicious, wait staff was prompt and courteous and a great sense of humor. Lighting and ambiance made for a lovely evening. Highly recommend.
Unique food; excellent service; great place to visit with friends over lunch.
