Cafe Michelangelo is a full service bar and restaurant that was started by two Italian brothers, Angelo and Michael Di Sandro, who had the desire to bring a love of their food and culture to America. In 1992, they opened Cafe Michelangelo in order to do just that. Tucked away in a corner of northeast Philadelphia, Cafe Michelangelo expands into a European style hideaway. From the fully imported Italian brick oven and cafe bar, to the extensive outdoor seating shaded by grape vines, and including two outdoor bocce courts, Cafe Michelangelo brings you right to the hills of Italy. The expansive size of the restaurant also provides the opportunity to accommodate a variety of events including live bands, dancing, reunions, and private parties.

Food was good. Service too. Only issue was one meal was brought out 15-20 mins after all of the others. They said that dish takes longer to make than the others so we suggested they delay the others to match up the timing. Would go back.

The food was ok but the atmosphere was not good. Too dark inside. Had to use phone flashlight to read menu.

We like it here. Dined here many times and always enjoy ourselves. The only thing I would say is that we ordered appetizers and the pizza came out one minute after we got them, would have liked a little more time in between.

The hostess station did not have our reservation they put us in the side room where no other guests weee seated couldnt see the only tv that was in that room. Said they didnt have lemonade while 2 different options are on the menu. They were rushing us out but were taking their time serving us. Werent bringing our refills. Not a good experience.

Was there for New Year's Eve...food was not that great but the service and people who work there were outstanding. Overall, if the people had not been as terrific as they were, it would have sort of been a bust. I'd recommend the place for a quick bite/lunch, not a evening meal for a special occasion.

We arrived they had no record of our reservation. They did quickly accommodate us which was appreciated but still uncomfortable. The restaurant is in need of cleaning. It is noticeably dirty.

We made a reservation for 5:30 PM on OpenTable and we arrived at 5:23 PM. When we got there, there was mass confusion about the reservation. The hostess was no help and had no idea what we were talking about. Finally an older gentleman, who was very rude, sat us at a small table right next to the bar. The entire restaurant was practically empty at this time. Only when we left around 6:30 did the place actually fill up. Other than that initial encounter, the food and service was great as always. My suggestion is to not use OpenTable to make a reservation at this place and to just call.
