   Decor is nice and greeted warmly. Unfortunately, food was fair to poor. Bread was served at the table and that was stale. Limited menu and my wife chose an appetizer for her entre. Rather than serving this with our meal it was brought out first. Asked for some clean side dishes and it required asking two people before we were able to a response. Service was uneven, even though there were very few patrons, and the food was just ok. We were only visiting the area and if we had lived there, this would have been one and done.

   We dined on Saturday night prior to going to the theater. It was a 6 o’clock reservation and the restaurant was relatively empty. Food was good service was good prices were fair and it was extremely quiet. We enjoyed dinner at our server Dawn made it a wonderful experience

    We had show tickets at the DuPont Playhouse…. We had dinner and coffee and we’re out in time for the show. I would recommend 2hours for apps to dessert.

    We were unable to eat our entrees because they took so long coming out if the kitchen. One of our party who didn’t order an appetizer ate nothing at all. Not enough waitstaff for the number of patrons.

    Why this restaurant is not always crowded, is a mystery to me. The service is first rate and the food is fantastic. They have a great menu with everything from spaghetti and meatballs, to a grilled, bone-in veal chop. The wine list is limited but more than adequate for most tastes.

    We had such a lovely meal here this past Saturday night. We shared Caesar Salad, a fantastic pasta entree and chicken parmesan. The bread with the bruscetta topping was out of this world. The service was polite and wonderful. We all should be supporting good restaurants who have been affected by Covid and we should help support this establishment who is an excellent example of a well run place.

    We dined early at 5:30 pm. The hostess doubled as our waiter. She had personal knowledge of each item on the menu. The chef came out and interacted with all the early diners. The dinner and service were exceptional.

    First time here. Server was nice but rather timid. Portions were quite large. Food was tasty but needed a bit more seasoning. (Salt and pepper were not on the table.) Parking was on street or in a lot, no valet and no validating. Had the tortellini and meatball chicken soup, which was delish. Also order the veal, which was tasty but a bit dry and under seasoned. Limited dessert menu, ordered tiramisu, it was very good.

    Chris the bartender makes awesome drinks. Pizza at bar only was very good also. Nice for happy hour and small bites at bar . special note on espresso martini if your thing . Friend had fettuccine with bolenez sauce and liked.

    Cafe Mezzanotte is always consistently excellent. Sergio does a superb job of creating authentic Italian food. It's the best I've had outside of Italy. Cam't go wrong with Carbonara, Sea Bass, or the Veal Chop!! We are so lucky to have this restaurant in Wilmington.

    Visited Mezzanote for an early pre-symphony dinner. No convenient or valet parking available that evening (it is, afterall, downtown Wilmington). Eventhough a relatively pleasant Friday evening in mid-February, the restaurant was obviously operating short-handed. Still, the server (who also doubled as the hostess) was efficient and pleasant. Service was somewhat slow but not painfully so. Several attractive private rooms are available, but none were in use that evening. Food presentation, taste and portion size was quite good; in-line with Mezzanote's branding as a cafe. Drinks on offer included some unique options; my date thoroughly enjoyed her "American Pie" cocktail. Value was excellent. I liked this restaurant better than it's arguably more popular neighbor across the street. We will return.

    We want to try this place due to positive reviews. However, our experience was less positive. We had a reservation 7pm on February 11th. At 7:38, we were still waiting for water and bread. You would think it was because the restaurant was empty. Don't believe me; here's proof. We were the only ones there. We had to get the waitress attention to refill water and get drinks. To make matters worse, when the apps and entrée were served, it was barely warm. Despite the horrible experience and bland food, we gave Francesca a 20% tip. I normally don't leave bad reviews and decided to wait for a few days to write it. Honestly, this was by far the absolute worst dining experienced we ever had. We may not be the right color for your establishment, but our cash is still green. No, I'm m not looking for a free meal or apology. We will never be back.

    We were greeted and seated promptly. There was one waitress covering the guests at this time. I am not someone who gets angry about short staffing. This is an unfortunate time in the world so I am incredibly understanding. It took a long time for us to get our cocktails, however the ones we did get were very tasty. It is unclear whether she was the only server all night or maybe they made cuts a little too early. It was clear she had a lot going on. They serve bruschetta with their bread which was piping hot and so delicious! Nice touch with the bruschetta. The appetizers came out quickly we had the Arancini and mussels. They were delicious but weren’t served quite as hot as I would like them but the flavors were all there. They were not cold I would’ve sent them back if they were cold but may have been sitting for a bit and cooled down. Entrees I got lobster ravioli and my mom got gnocchi. Again both delicious but not quite as hot. These actually took quite a bit after we were finished with appetizers. The lobster filling was plentiful and definitely had enough lobster to cheese ratio. The sauce was a little too sweet but overall a very good dish. The gnocchi were awesome too. We had requested a dessert menu that never came unfortunately. we were hoping to have some dessert with our coffee but ended up cutting our loses as the waitress seemed very busy and we were just about finished with the coffees anyway. Overall I think if another server was on maybe they should wait to make cuts a little later on the weekends for the people who like to dine a little later, and if there was never another server it would be nice if a manager or something was helping the server out to ensure everyone had what they needed. I still tipped well and would never blame her, it was not her fault! She was super nice and always checked on us when she could! Will try again

    Restaurant was nearly empty - believe only 3 other tables. Nonetheless it took forever to get our initial cocktail order - in fact appetizers arrived before drinks. Italian specialty restaurant but the Pasta e Fagioli soup was mushy - awful.

    I love authentic real fresh food. Cafe Mezzanotte brings home the flavor of Italy and the enjoyment of a truly great surrounding. When Sergio Pellagrino cooks it is with love. I am extremely picky when it comes to fine dining. The food here is heart warming, festive, fresh and Oh so delicious. If your looking to impress clients or personal friends etc, come here you wont be disappointed. As a seasoned traveled veteran I can tase Italy in his food. This place is a Gold Mine.
