    Wonderful. From the greeting to the dessert everything was great. The service was friendly and prompt. The portions not too big or small. The menu is limited allowing the kitchen to focus on making a few things great rather than a lot of mediocre dishes. As always a favorite inn Wilmington.

    The food was absolutely delicious -every appetizer, main course and dessert we had was amazing! Our server was friendly, attentive and knew the menu and how each dish was prepared in detail. Best restaurant we have been to in quite some time.

    The food, service, atmosphere and location were exactly what we needed. We would have liked to have known there was a limited menu as it was show night but we were able to find satisfying substitutes for what we had planned to eat. We have been here before and would definitely eat here again if we are in town for a show.

    Went for lunch yesterday and was very underwhelmed by the place. Staff was welcoming, and we were seated quickly, but part of our order was entered wrong so one member of our party did not receive their meal until the rest of us had almost finished eating. Tortellini soup and Caesar salad were bland. Linguine with sausage and mushrooms in white wine sauce had better flavor but was very oily, and the margherita pizza had 3 tiny clumps of basil that seemed thrown on as an afterthought. Despite that, the pizza was probably the best tasting dish we tried.

    We enjoyed a quiet and delicious meal prior to seeing a show at the Grand Opera House (on a Thursday night)- about 5 blocks away. There is a parking garage across the street from the cafe which was super convenient though required a cell phone app to pay for parking. The service was super! The food well presented and perfectly cooked, leaning towards predictable traditional Italian. The seats were very comfortable, the AC was turned up a bit too much and I heard other customers mention that. I recommend eating there.

    We’ve dined at this ideally located generously appointed restaurant a few times a year for decades. Good bar, comfortable seating, and attentive service. Standard central Italian fare and good deserts. Our recent visit was during Restaurant Week - was that a problem? The usually attractive menu has become a single laminated page. Plus a xerox sheet for specials. The wine list, which always had interesting items (top Georgian wine for example) is now odds and ends, some overpriced enough to take your appetite away. Arancini in canned tomato sauce. Arugula salad with five small shavings of Parmesan. Generous chicken parma a la microwave. Lamb lollipops 1 x 1 x 1/4 inches each - in short the ends not included on a rack - quite well sauced, over lukewarm broccoli rabe. Good tiramisu. Left not the best taste in my mouth for 2 bills. Mezzanotte can do better. Stick to the standards.

    The was 1 waitresses on a Saturday. That’s poor management. She was lovely but only human. My dinner was not very hot. The shrimp appetizer although tasty was not worth it for the small shrimp served. Took to long to get a drink …. Oh well,the company was nice

    Overall, it was a nice experience. Service was slow as they had one person serving, but the place was pretty empty. They did have a sign at the hostess stand asking for patience as they are understaffed. The food was good. We had the antipasto silano and fried calamari to start. The calamari was nice and tender. I didn't enjoy the antipasto. I had the spaghetti seafood. My daughter had the chicken ciabatta and pasta fagioli soup. She didn't enjoy her meal as much as the rest of us. I tasted the rigatoni biasciola (sp), and it was good. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails.

    I love Cafe Mezzanotte. The food is always yummy, even though the vegetarian options aren't as plentiful as I'd like. The service was awesome and we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again for a wonderful dinner.

    Meh! Food, service, & ambiance were just average. I ordered lobster ravioli in a pink cream sauce. Server, Ami, walked away when I was expecting her to ask if I’d like cheese sprinkled on top. I waited for her return and request cheese. She said I would ruin the sauce by adding cheese, but I insisted on it. I heard her in the kitchen asking for cheese. Don’t you think an Italian restaurant would have a cheese mill? She came out w/ cheese in a plastic to go cup. When it came time for dessert she said it is not written so I will tell you of the dessert options. She mentioned gelato & espresso (ingredients for an afogato) amongst other items. I asked her if they can make an afogato? She said. “I’m sure the bartender can make what you want. An afogato is gelato w/ espresso poured over it and NOT a drink! Come on!!

    Our food was very fresh and expertly prepared and presented-particularly the fish dishes. Nice selection of wines. Appropriate portions. Prompt and efficient table service in a sunny and spacious dining area with comfortable seating. There are many fine Italian restaurants in the Wilmington area, but this one is a favorite of ours.
