We Love’d Carolina our waitress. She was very nice and made us feel at home.
My family and I went to celebrate 2 birthdays. It was nice and our server Carter was friendly. Good was good.
We had the sunset special and it was fabulous. Several meals to choose from on that menu. We had a variety and everyone enjoyed theirs. The eggplant appetizer was sooo good and the Caesar salad dressing was one of the best I have had. We look forward to our next time there.
I've eaten breakfast here a few times and it was great but this is my first time here for dinner so decided to try it out and didn't even get to eat. Walked in and there wasn't a hostess at the door so we had to wait, sat down for almost 10 minutes and no one came over to even offer a drink. I know new management took over so it's probably going down hill... my parents and I never had a problem in the past.
My meal was not cooked right. Very oily. Not cooked all the way through. They keep the door open when it's so hot out! Not going back.
Wonderful food, and great experience every time.
Great service & food. The srimp scampi is wonderful! Good wine selection. Our servers were friendly and helpful!
Breakfast is really good too!
Great food as always. Love the location. Carter, our server is outstanding! Always a pleasurable dining experience.
Thomas our waiter was great. We had the sunset special and everyone enjoyed their meals. We like being able to dine outdoors.
Food was very good and very large portions, but the service was poor. The manager did her very best to speed things up once she saw that we hadn't been served. I think that it was just an Off night for service so we'll give it a second try. Chicken Parm was awesome. Enough for dinner and lunch the next day.
Excellent food, amazing oceanfront seating. Fabulous jazz singer when we were Th on Saturday.
We keep coming back. The service, food and ambience are always spot on !!! Watching the ocean while eating is always nice !!!!!
Food is consistently good for breakfast and dinner. Sometimes the service (time to get food out of kitchen) can be slow if the restaurant is crowded; however, this night the dinner came very quickly.
Good service. Good food. Great venue. Not much more u can ask for in casual Oceanside dining.
Used Groupon. Very good value.
There was a wedding inside the evening we were there. Of course during the reservation and the follow up confirmation, the staff didn't tell us about a wedding and that we would need to sit outside. Outside turned out fine but it would have been good to have had a heads up.
The wait staff messed up our meal and our meal to a table next to us. Then.... when they realized the mistake they gave my husband the meal that the other man had already had his fork in. It came with the fork on the plate!!! Yuck Who knows if we got the untouched meal when it returned to the kitchen.
Each time I go to this restaurant, I like it less and less. This time, we were not at all happy. We waited for a waitress to come for drinks, we ordered a salad that was missing some of it's ingredients, and the main courses were also missing major ingredients, that we came to find out, they were out of them. Maybe they thought we wouldn't notice? The manager came over to apologize, and he offered my friend a different menu item. 10 minutes later, he came back to say he was out of that as well. This was at 6:30 on a Friday night! The waitress kept coming over to tell us how it wasn't her fault. We knew it wasn't, however, she ruined that thought when she told us more than a few times that it wasn't her fault. Unfortunately, I will not be back.
Despite having reservations, when we arrived we were told they could not accommodate us since an unexpected large party had arrived. We opted to sit outside on a breezy, cool night since we didn’t have any other available options. Our food, while tasty, arrived lukewarm. I mention that we also had made reservations a few weeks early only to be called the morning of our dinner plans to be told we could not be accommodated since there was a private party planned. They need to get their act together on honoring reservations.
Waited more than an hour for entree. We were going to leave when the manager came to our table and asked us to please not leave and he would take care of the check. He was very nice and apologetic. We did stay and the food was excellent. But by the time the food arrived, we lost our appetite
The restaurant had some difficulty in dealing with our large party. Staff was very attentive. The kitchen seemed to struggle with getting all of the entries out together. The appetizers were excellent and timely, but the mains had quite a large time gap (+45 minutes) from the removal of the appetizers and it was quite clear that a number of dishes had been done for sometime (and were no longer very good—medium rare steak came as medium well with soggy scallops, veal part had soggy breading, pasta that had become mushy) while others were obviously fresh and good.
I had read about this restaurant years ago when it was opened by the BICE group. Now I understand it is now owned by the Wynham hotel where it is located.
We were staying in a hotel down the street and decide to try Cafe Med.
There were having a wedding inside so we sat on patio. Started with a complementary bread with 3 dips, kalamata olive, chimichurri , and roasted red pepper.
For appetizer, I had a burrata with Prosciutto, tomato, and arugula. I twas very good.
For mains, i ordered the Spaghetti alla Diavola, Baby Octopus, Little Neck Clams, Mussels, Calamari & Shrimp, and Marinara Sauce over spaghetti. Unfortunately it came out without any shrimp or octopus which they brought out .Just fair.
My wife ordered the Chicken Vesuvio,Chicago Style Bone in Chicken Baked with Garlic, Rosemary, Lemon, Fresh Peas & Roasted Potatoes. She was told it was white meat which it wasn't. So they brought out white meat chicken, also just fair.
Beautiful, trendy restaurant. Great service. Didn't think the food was anything really special.
The food is very good. The waiter we had wasn’t friendly at all. We had to ask for a steak knife having ordered a pork chop. After serving us coffee, we had to ask for milk and sugar. His reply was he only had two hands.
Food was so delicious that we went twice in the 4 days we were there. Cafe Med Meatball was amazing and so was the Portofino and Italian Margarita.
The food was very good as was the service. The prices were reasonable but not cheap. Right on the beach...makes it easy to go for a short walk after a big meal.
Beautiful March evening. Enjoyed the live entertainment, Shauna Sweeney, on guitar!
Food, service and eating on the patio by the ocean were awesome.
Of course it was pouring rain, so sitting outside wasn't an option. The service was great, and the food was all delicious.
Great food great service great views we will be returning.
The service was some of the worse we have had in S FL. Even though we had 4 staff assisting our table at one point or another, it was still bad. The food was not that great either which added to the frustration. The biggest issue was attentiveness (or lack of) and wait time. By the time our waiter (s) checked on us, it would then take 15 plus minutes before they returned and in most cases, they didn't have everything we asked for. What we thought was going to be a great dinner on the beach turned out to be mess. Needless to say, I will not be back nor will I recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful. Love the place , menu and food
Great food, great people. Just don’t be in a rush. Totally worth it
The restaurant was nice and clean. The ambiance was not so good. The TV was on and the Football game was playing. There was about 5 people sitting at the bar and yelling and make too much noise in order to listen to the person singing. We could not hear a word or the music.
I would recommend that the TV should be turn-off if you have people sitting in the restaurant eating.
We were very disappointed the management had no clue what they were doing we waited to be seated longer than we should have the restaurant was not busy for New Year’s Eve we place our order and waited over an hour and a half still no food we was coming Out of the kitchen going back in the kitchen because every table was getting the wrong food we asked the waiter where is our dinner and be out in five minutes 10 minutes came along we got up and we left we walked out they asked us several times you haven’t received your food yet he said no it enough is enough I want my bill when I’m leaving horrible experience
Terrible experience with Cafe Med. Made a reservation on December 4 through Open Table for Cafe Med and received a confirmation from Open Table for December 8, 2018 at 6:30pm. Received another confirmation at 8:30 am on December 7 reminding me of the reservation for the next day. At 5pm on December 8, I called Cafe Med to ask about valet parking and was advised they were closed that night for a private party. I asked why they didn’t call me and tell me about the private party. They then said I didn’t even have a reservation that night, even though I received two confirmations. She advised me that they do not use Open Table and was quite curt in her response. I advised them this dinner was to celebrate a wedding anniversary and being told our reservation was not available at the last minute, particularly when finding out only after I called them, was poor management and bad customer service. Thankfully we didn’t just show up at the restaurant that night. We had to make dinner plans for another restaurant at the last minute. Actually, the other restaurant had better food so it helped calm our frustration. I subsequently contacted Open Table and advised them of this situation. Open Table acknowledged that Cafe Med was still listed on Open Table and that they would contact Cafe Med to find out why they did not honor the reservation, and why they said say they are not participating in Open Table. I would never go to this place again.
Eat here a lot. Always outstanding meals and service. Friendly management that walks from table to table during the dining experience. Great wine selection. Views are super as the location is right at the D.B. Pier. All the servers are outstanding. Carter especially is beyond amazing! She makes all her customers feel like they are coming home to the family table. Overall, cafe Med is beyond five stars!!!!!
love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Excellent food but poor ambiance. Very tasty well prepared Italian food with good size portions but a noisy unhospitable environment.
We have always had great service and food at Cafe Med. We feel so welcomed like family each time we go there. We like to take friends there.
We had to sit outside when we wanted an inside table. You had a wedding booked that night and did inform me when I booked the table. And your receptionist was surprised when we told her that we had reservations?
First time here at Café Med and it was excellent! Our server Michael was outstanding and took very good care of us. Would highly recommend if you are by Deerfield Beach
