Cafe Luna at Ramada Inn Naples
We had a wonderful dinner. We used to enjoy going to Cafe Luna on 5th Avenue and were sorry when the building they were in was torn down.
Our dinners were were very good — marinara sauce was perfect, but the fried mozzarella was outstanding! Best I have ever had! The complimentary bread had a really “crunchy” crust, which made it extra special. The house salad dressing was delicious — and the homemade tiramisu was THE BEST! (Even the Diet Coke was unusually good!)
Our server, Ryan, was terrific. His recommendations were great. He was very attentive and extremely accommodating with our special requests.
And to top it off, there was live music, making it a really fun evening.
We will definitely return!
Never brought two dinner orders until many many minutes later.. but we kind enough to take meals off the bill. That was fair
Tried Cafe Luna at the Ramada Inn for the first time. We LOVED the former Fifth Avenue location. We liked the Vanderbilt Road location pretty well.
Last night's experience was quite a letdown. Our server was not very present at all. Had to ask after salad was served for bar drinks. Had to ask for and remind for bread. The food was meh...nothing wrong with it exactly, but nothing great either. I ordered the mushroom ravioli. It was a favorite of mine. But last night's version had soupy sauce and was too bland.
Went for the live music...but where we were seated we felt out of it and could not see performer who actually sounded pretty good, just wish we could have seen him.
Not sure we will ever go back. New location is 30 minutes away. We have much better restaurants just around the corner.
Best eggplant parmigiana in the world! Great value!
I've followed this place from its beginning on 5th Ave over 15 years ago and I think it has finally found its niche, location-wise. Cafe Luna "invented" the "Two Entrees & a Bottle of Wine" for under $40 bucks! The portion sizes as well as the quality of the food has never let me down and the the owners are "Hands On".
Further, when you order a drink in this establishment, including during their 'happy hours', there are no one jigger measurements...only a free pour!
Now they have some great live entertainment 3 or 4 evenings weekly so if you want to go out for cocktails, dinner and dancing, you will experience not only a great value but also a complete dining and entertainment venue!
Good place to eat. The food was good and the value added menu was good . The ambiance was not as good as it could be .The sunlight was streaming in to my eyes the entire time.
They have the best Happy Hour around. Drinks excellent also the prices. Food was very good. We got 2 bottles of wine with two dinners for $39.99 and took one bottle of wine home. It was my husband’s birthday so they gave him his favorite dessert. Our waiter James was very busy but very attentive to our table. Would highly recommend
Have been to Cafe Luna at its various locations in Naples over the years. Their current Ramada Inn location is great, and the food is better than ever. Their spaghetti sauce is superb, and you will not fine a better value in Naples. Outstanding food and service!
First time there. Food fair, but nothing special. Red sauce seemed over cooked, eggplant was mostly breading. More of a bar than restaurant.
Great food for the value - great service -- nice time
Our first time here since Cafe Luna has moved into this new space. Our waiter Marco was great ! We were a party of 6 and all did the Veally good deal. Our friends did the veal parmesan and steak upgrades. Myself and my husband did the eggplant Parmesan and the chicken Caesar salad. Everything was excellent ! The wine that came with the meal, Merlot was delicious ! My sister upgraded for 12$ and got the 14 hands.
Everything was hot and delicious. The only thing I would criticize would be the garlic knots, they were way too greasy and the garlic hit you in the back of your throat, not a good feeling. Otherwise it was a great meal !
Ordered the $39.99 special with an upgrade for one meal. Never got any bread even though we mentioned it to the Manager when she came around checking on us. The veal parm was overdone had to use force on knife to cut into it
Food was excellent. Had entertainment the evening we visited. Good value in a nice environment.
Friday night and the bar was lively and noisy. Music was nice but a little loud. Food was good and a good value. Kitchen a bit slow, but should improve before season arrives.
We are glad to see Cafe Luna back in Old Naples.
Very nice dinner special of prime rib.
good food and value, great service.
Layout is nice.
These are the same owners that had a restaurant on Fifth Avenue, and 3 failed attempts at a second location. Different chef, but the garlic knots were great. The salmon and spinach were good, although the portion was small, the chicken picatta had a lovely light lemon and caper sauce and the pasta was good, but the chicken looked anemic. It looked like it had been poached, so no color. With the pasta it was a colorless dish, although tasty, just a bit visually off. The garlic knots took 30 minutes, it took one hour to get the entree and the restaurant was only half full on a week night. Our server was a sweet gal and did keep checking with us, letting us know we hadn't been forgotten. Everyone's meals were coming out very slowly. The female owner was working the tables, although the male owner just sat at the bar. After dinner the owners and cook had a discussion about personnel issues within earshot of us, customers! They need to discuss business in an office or kitchen, not where customers can hear. The $40 dinner with wine, (although both of our dishes were upgrades), is still a deal, and we will give them one more chance, after they have been open a while. They had only been open 30 days and obviously are still working on issues. Loved that the Chef came over and introduced himself, asked what we had ordered and if we enjoyed it. Nice Touch! I think if the owners let their Chef run his kitchen and staff, they will be fine. The Chef seemed very knowledgeable. The ambiance will never be Fifth Avenue, but they are doing what they can with a very old space in Ramada. For an affordable restaurant for the locals, especially during season, this could be a hidden gem!
Food, service and entertainment were awesome! Will be going back for sure!
Cheers! Cafe Luna is back! We were heartbroken when they closed, and thrilled that they are back. The nostalgic pictures are back on the wall, and the food is just as great as before.
We attended a special event, so that might explain the crowd. Service was a bit slow, but the noise level was almost unbearable. I could barely hear my companion across the table, even with hearing aids adjusted for the circumstance. I would consider dining here again, maybe after the initial crowds die down a little.
Great for groups. Cheerful. Love the music. View of pool is nice. Bar is large.
Noisy compared to prior Lunas. Did not find it a restful venue ; maybe due in part to seating location.
WE ARE HAPPY THAT THE LUNA CAFE IS BACK AND THEIR VEALLY GOOD DEAL...GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD..
Cafe Luna always provides good value for the money. Its newest location is convenient to downtown and the beach. As part of the Ramada Inn, Cafe Luna has ample parking and a nice view of the landscaped swimming pool. The $39.00 special, two dinners and a bottle of wine, is a great deal. I upgraded ($5) and had the wild salmon dinner, which was delicious. We also added an appetizer (prosciuto, fig,and goat cheese flatbread), which tasted amazing. I also like supporting a local couple, who've remained committed to their dream despite less than ideal landlords.
