What a wonderful experience! Quiet and charming place. The service is wonderful, atmosphere is French country casual. A fella was playing the guitar unobtrusively. We could actually have a conversation while eating. Food and wine are an A+
Wonderful welcome, great service and food. We were the last reservation and made feel welcome as the place remained open for us.
Café Le Mistral never disappoints. I went on a brunch date with my fiancée and had a fantastic time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was classy and romantic. The food and the drinks, the best we’ve had in all five boroughs. Café Le Mistral is the best place for high-quality food.
What a very cute and charming restaurant! I went for Sunday brunch before seeing the Dior exhibit and it was the perfect choice. Live bossanova was a pleasant surprise (I think started around 12) and the food was delicious and what to expect from a classically French restaurant. We had exceptional service until the place started getting busy and I think the waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed, there were small things like he didn’t notice the card was ready placed on the table and forgot we had asked for a desert menu but he was good about checking on us often enough that we didn’t feel we were left hanging. Would definitely come back again.
I had the grilled Mahi-mahi. The dish was very tasty. The bathroom was clean- bathroom cleanliness is a must too. The restaurant itself was bright in terms of lighting and natural light through the windows. The server she wasn’t too pushy. I had a pleasant experience for my first time.
Perfect for a romantic dinner out. Top quality French food. The live guitar music is lovely. I've been twice and look forward to going there again soon. It is a gem.
Delightful. There was live music, but at a decibel level that allowed for conversation. BRAVO!!
Great food and drink. My favorite restaurant to go and never afraid to take friends and family
Great food, great live music, and service with a smile.
Delicious specials and great atmosphere
Another great dinner experience ! The food was delicious ( my husband had salmon and I had burger , salad, wine, fresh squeezed orange juice). Service was outstanding ! Nice touch- soft live music.
As always everything was amazing at the Le Mistral: delicious food( we had French onion soup, juicy burger and French toast), outstanding service( thank you, Anastasiya !), great atmosphere , and very attentive owner Eric, who is really the Owner of the restaurant ! Thank you again for wonderful brunch!
Great for Brunch and Dinner. There French toast is delicious 😋
Perfect Saturday brunch outside on 5th st. No hurrying us and a complementary glass of wine for my husband's birthday.
We enjoyed our dinner, our first at this restaurant !The food was very good, the service professional, excellent wine by the glass, and great live music! We shared a pear salad, had the grilled monkfish and hamburger entrees, chocolate mousse, and two espressos !Everything was delicious !
Great live music! Perfect genre for summer dining.
Cafe Le Mistral was the perfect combination of great food, amazing ambiance and wonderful service. We hosted a family dinner to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and parents anniversary. The meal was delicious. The service was very good and the live band was the cherry on top! I must also say that I appreciate that they asked to see the vaccine cards. It is a must experience if you are in Park Slope!!!!
Had the Norwegian Benedict and the eggs where poached perfectly and the potatoes where cooked to perfection. Musician was very good and played many various songs.
I look forward for my next visit.
We love coming to this restaurant. The food is always delicious and the service impeccable. Eric makes sure that you have the best experience and I love the specials. On the weekend they have live music and lately they have been playing contemporary songs mixed with oldies. Really fun and makes the whole dining experience more like a night out. We will definitely come again.
Owner is known to be surly and lived up to his reputation
Went for brunch and had the Croque Madam which was delicious and I highly recommend it. Also the Mimosa was delicious too. My husband had the French Toast again. He loves it and would recommend it also for kids and adults.
Great experience all
Great as always!
Everything at the Le Mistral was excellent , as always! Food was delicious ( we got Florentine eggs Benedict and Burger, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee). Service was outstanding, even that restaurant was full. Thank you for wonderful brunch!
The food is wonderful. I have never had a meal that was not exceptional.
Their Brunch is delicious, I recommend the Croque Madame and the French Toast.
The host is friendly and attentive.
The food was delicious, the music delightful, and the service warm and prompt without being intrusive. The restaurant was accommodating with our puppy and gave us an outdoor seat.
A really cute aside - Eric the owner spotted a little girl on the sidewalk enthralled by the guitar player and gave her some sorbet on the house while she watched. Hope to become regulars here
Great experience, one of the best places for a nice brunch or dinner in the area. The staff is super friendly professional and the manager knows how to please customers!
Wonderful birthday dinner!👏♥️
Lovely restaurant with old french bistro decor. Limited outdoor seating but the restaurant can open it's front walls, making the interior very open-air - so I would not hesitate to sit inside - although I am vaccinated.
Great place, amazing food and fantastic live guitar player/singer to enhance the ambiance. We were a party of six celebrating my B’day, it was midweek, restaurant not very busy, ambiance very much like authentic French bistro. Escargot was delish, salads fresh and well dressed, 2 of us ordered steak, it well prepared as requested with amazing sauce. Deserts are amazing. Best of all, our 4 year old granddaughter danced to the music of the wonderful singer/player and it was appreciated by all. We had a wonderful gourmet dinner that felt like we landed in Paris.
As always everything was outstanding: food, presentation, service, nice live music; the owner Eric pay attention to every little details to make guests feel welcome! The chef is amazing , really professional ! Excellent restaurant, highly recommend it!
Dining at Café le Mistral was a wonderful experience. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant — combined with the lovely live music, delicious food, and excellent service — made the whole evening perfect. The staff was very attentive to detail, checked in with us often, and made sure we had a pleasant evening. The owner, Eric, was also very kind and present the whole time; he also made sure to check in with us, give recommendations for food, and made us feel very welcome. All of the tasty food was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We ordered the escargot, duck liver, grilled Spanish octopus, and salad with Roquefort for appetizers; the duck breast and veal for entrées; and the lava cake, panna cotta, and crème brûlée for dessert. The entire dinner experience made us feel like we were in an authentic French restaurant while being in the middle of Brooklyn. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic French restaurant with live music and mouthwatering food!
Café Le Mistral is, without a doubt, the best place for authentic French food. Even before walking through its doors, you are enchanted by its elegance and by the rhythm of the delightful Bossa Nova music played inside by a variety of talented musicians. The ambiance is a first-class ticket to classy Paris. Vintage-looking mirrors adorn the walls, adding a je ne sais pas to the culinary experience. The food is just beyond delicious--world-class. Every dish is prepared with the best products. As an appetizer, I had the best paté that I have ever tried in my lifetime. It was fresh, made right after I made my order. As the main dish, I enjoyed a high-quality Alaskan King salmon. It was fresh, tender, and exquisite. The wine selection is simply unique. The owner put both his passion and many years of experience working in the wine production business to select every single bottle meticulously. It showed in the bottle of Merlot I had. If you're looking for the best place for a lovely experience overall, Café Le Mistral is the place to go.
Pleasant experience, good food, great live music. Highly recommended!
We have been to Le Mistral a few times and every time the food is excellent! Authentic French with attention to detail and flavor at a very reasonable price. The best French Fries in Brooklyn. The last time we were there we asked the owner Eric if he serves a Peche Melba (Peach Melba). Our favorite French dessert but hard to find. He said if we bring fresh peaches he will make it for us, so last night he did and it was divine! He made the adult version for us and the kids version for our son. It was better than we remembered. I also had the tuna tartare which was excellent and highly recommended the salade nicoise. If you’re looking for a fantastic and classy french restaurant (they have great live classical music every night) then this is it! And if you want to try the delicious Peche Melba, bring a peach 😊
Visiting from out of state, sharing time with very loved friends we had not seen I many years.
Food is very good. Service could be better. There were literally 3 tables to serve, however they found a way to charge my card for different bill ( took 5 days to get the fonds back)
We didn't even stay for dinner. The owner was rude and obnoxious. Don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Should not even be on OpenTable
