Wonderful meal on the sidewalk streetside. Traffic noise an unfortunate detractor but there we are. Delicious!!!
We were dining outside due to COVID restrictions. It was a warm night and felt like being in a cafe in Europe. Very good service and food. A lovely experience.
One of the best restaurants in Sonoma. The food is always fantastic, very reasonable wine prices, and just a great experience.
When it's time for dinner out at my favorite restaurant in Sonoma, it's Cafe La Haye. Extremely well run establishment. Incredible consistency. Most delicious food anywhere.
Superb outdoor dining experience. Melissa was the best at explaining the menu, providing great service and having a top notch attitude. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning!
We have dined here several times over the years and the food and service remains outstanding. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions we ate outdoors on the sidewalk, which is less than wonderful. That said, we were happy to support the local business in this stressful time.
We eat at Cafe LaHaye several times a year. Now that COVID-19 allows only outside seating, it has been a challenge. The only reason I indicated the noise level I did is because you can’t avoid the occasional noisy car when you are seated outside in the sidewalk. Normally, inside is quite quiet.
We had an awesome risotto with scallops. Cooked perfectly. Our two starters were creative and delicious. And of course, we could not leave without the chocolate torte, so rich and decadent. As always, service was excellent. We highly recommend Cafe LaHaye.
Corn and roasted tomato soup was one of the best things I ate in 10 days in Sonoma/Napa!
Every bite was delicious! The wait staff could not be nicer. What a wonderful escape from the weird world we are enduring.
Best restaurant in Sonoma, perhaps in the North Bay.
Well curated wine list.
Everything was delicious. The fried chicken over Mac and cheese was amazing.
Amazing food, amazing service and staff
I love this place!
I don’t know if it’s COVID or not but there were two tables and two servers and we had poor service. My quail was raw. The chicken dish was good. Cheesecake was good. Think it’s an anomaly with the pandemic, but it wasn’t great.
In a time when every restaurant should try to go
up and beyond for their guests, the Cheif wouldn’t make a side veggie for our daughter (which was simply steamed broccoli, which came with my dinner). If you’re looking for any “special” service, you might look elsewhere. Besides that, the food was very good.
It was a pleasure to dine al fresco and enjoy a fabulous meal. The staff was as always professional and friendly.
Cafe La Haye always has the best salmon dish of any restaurant at which I have eaten. Their chocolate silk cake is also amazing.
We had a great time!
We were excited to eat at a Michelin rated restaurant, but left very underwhelmed. Based on other reviews, I’m hoping this was just an off night for them while operating during a pandemic, but will not go back.
Friendly and attentive staff and great food. Sat at one of the street tables which was just fine except for the occasional too-loud car (which seemed overly abundant in Sonoma).
Food was wonderful. Service was inattentive.
My wife and dined here during the shutdown while visiting from Dallas. service was fantastic, food was stellar, and the desserts - flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake - are not to be missed.
Outdoors on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Weather was perfect. Tables were all properly spaced for social distancing. Staff all masked the whole time, as was every guest except when they were eating. Food was wonderful. Bucatini with meatballs. Thick cut pork chop with mashed potatoes was perfectly done. First courses were a delucious tomato soup with melted cheese on top and a just as delicious salad of fresh tomatoes and burrata. A flourless chocolate cake with sea salt was a great finish. All went great with a Merlot from Once & Future Winery that was excellent and very fairly priced. Service was skilled and gracious as always. No doubt that this represents Sonoma at iys very best. Thanks to all for a great first dinner out since March!
Was fine- understandably during Covid was probably not at its best. Thank
Our meal at Cafe La Haye was our favorite of our long weekend vacation in the Sonoma area. Each dish was full of flavor. I love a restaurant that has a limited menu and puts a lot of attention and care in to those select dishes. We especially loved the gluten free dessert. We were surprised at how generous the portions were. Most of all, we felt very safe and distanced while dining here.
One of our most favorite places in Sonoma! Every dish at Cafe La Haye is a delight. The service is impeccable, lovely wine list and fresh, interesting dishes. And don’t forget dessert!
Because of COVID we had to sit outside on sidewalk, but we loved it! Our Server was awesome, food amazing and the evening was beautiful...could not have asked for a better experience except for the fact the cars fly down the street past where you're sitting and eating. Sonoma seriously needs to consider closing down the streets around the square from Thursday to Sunday evening so that nothing happens to the diners eating on the sidwalks...They could even put more tables in the streets if they did something like this. Could be very European! Overall though, we love Saul and this place! Highly recommend! Jaime and Joel
Excellent food and outdoor dining was awesome! All health and safety protocols were in place as well.
We recently discovered Cafe La Haye and its really a great spot. The chicken piccata and the crab cake are both the best around.
Delightful place - sidewalk seating was fun. Service great- knowledgeable and friendly; food fantasic
I really enjoyed dining at Cafe La Haye. Great service and delicious food
Great food, great wine, terrific people and service. My favorite place
Dinner on the sidewalk during these circumstances is the way to go.
Amazing food & wine!
We were thrilled to eat at cafe Le haye! The food was delicious and the service was awesome. We had chicken piccata, tuna, beef carpaccio, Cesar salad, everything was excellent. Lots of shade. Had a fantastic time!
First time back to restaurant in-dining and had a fantastic experience. Pork chop and fish prepared excellently and service was on point. Butterscotch pudding was to out of this world.
We love Cafe La Haye and always try to include it in our plans when we are visiting the area. The food is wonderful as well as the service. It is a smaller restaurant - lovely ambiance. Would highly recommend!
Cafe La Haye is always great. We appreciate the care they are taking for a safe but terrific dining experience during these difficult times.
What an amazing experience. My wife and I dined outside to celebrate her birthday (P.S. we had my birthday dinner in Jan here too!). The warm, kind and welcoming greeting we received from Saul was amazing. The menu is so good, it made it really tough to decide what to order. But we did and our choices were absolutely amazing! Thankfully my wife and I like to share, so in theory we each had a six course meal. This was an experience to remember for a long time. If you haven't been at all or in a while, I highly recommend that you make a reservation. And please don't forget to bring & wear your face mask. The staff is there taking care of us, so it's up to us to take care of them. Cheers!
Once again, we were not disappointed with our choice to celebrate our anniversary at Cafe La Haye. We have lived in Sonoma for 31 years and Cafe La Haye continues to be arguably the best restaurant in the valley. The food and service are out of this world. Saul and his staff never cease to amaze us with perfection all around. We cannot more highly recommend this treasure in the City of Sonoma.
Although we made reservations, we had to wait an extra 10 minutes or so for our table due to COVID-19. However, the team was very pleasant and gave us updates on our wait. They even gave us a glass of complimentary champagne while we waited. Great food and great service. I would highly recommend!
Always the best.
