Cafe La Haye
We have been going to Cafe La Haye for years. A first class restaurant. Great food; friendly service.
Incredible food, really friendly service. All around great!
Such a delicious meal and great service. Our first time here but we will be back.
The food was great as well as the wine selection, which it’s small but carefully curated. Given the current restrictions our table was in the sidewalk but it wasn’t noisy. We understand that maybe some days traffic will be noisy but the restaurant has no power over that. At any rate, the servers and the chef took care of us like family.
Excellent food and they did as best as possible with the ambience for outdoor sidewalk dining. Service excellent as always and it was a great experience. We even brought our dog which they accommodated nicely. Menu remains the same. Everyone was safe with table distance and masks.
Never fails to impress! Impeccable service and food. Don't miss this little gem!
They were incredibly gracious and the food was fabulous.
Great dinner! Eating on the street during Covid but the service and food were still terrific. I had the pork chop which was cooked just right- not over done like so many. My husband had the pasta special which he loved.
Food wasn’t a creative and polished as the thought it would be. Disappointed about green beans and mash potatoes as our sides. Nothing seasonal
Melissa is a pro waitress. Wine was excellent and rare find. Salad with warm tomato and blistered peppers in greens w anchovy stuffed olives and crumble cheese was an amazing creation. Sadly we are stuck on the sidewalk, which means street noise, but this is totally common in So Oma.
(In California there is still no indoor dining so we were on the sidewalk thus the low rating for “ambiance”.) Our evening was a get together for three and there was lots to chat about which was a good thing since service was sloowww. It was 15 minutes after being seated and given water and menus before our waitress stopped by to take drink orders. After trying to order a martini I was informed that only beer and wine was available. Being in wine country this was not a hardship but it was unexpected and crudley presented information. Not a great start.
I loved the pappardell I ordered and hubby really enjoyed the quail and friend complimented the pork chop.all around but the service still was uneven. Water was refilled and eventually we were checked on but if there had been a problem it would have been exacerbated.
We would return when indoor dining returns and can expect better service supervision.
The food is always excellent and the staff are exceptionally good.
Food was outstanding, service a bit on the reserved end. Atmosphere the result of COVID so very different, although they did set us aside with much privacy!
Even seated outside, great food, great host and still the same after many years of business.
We reserved a table for four at 7:30. Seating was quick and the servers were very attentive. We tried every appetizer on the menu and they were all fantastic. The filet was particularly good. It melted in your mouth.
They continue to maintain their high standards even under the challenging circumstances of the Pandemic restrictions.
Due to COVID-19, the outdoor tables are along Napa St. It was quiet night but there is street traffic. Food was excellent...good wine selection.
Nothing beats a local restaurant that serves consistently outstanding food and where the owner greets you by name. Cafe La Haye used to be our special occasion restaurant, yet the pandemic has made us much more thoughtful about patronizing and supporting the local gems in the town of Sonoma. We enjoy the seasonal menu, personalized attention from the staff, and relaxed outdoor seating. Highly recommend!
Fabulous. The seating, in a doorway nook off the sidewalk, was comfortable and nicely private. Service was just right - attentive, but not overly so, and unrushed. Most importantly, every single dish was superbly prepared. The best, most enjoyable restaurant experience I've had for some time.
Quaint, artsy, and great food! We really enjoyed the food here. Seating is along the street, but they were able to block off some of the street so there is no parking on that side. It makes it feel more like a patio. Nice service too. Clearly a local spot - there were lots of people who knew each other here. :) Thanks!
Wonderful meal on the sidewalk streetside. Traffic noise an unfortunate detractor but there we are. Delicious!!!
We were dining outside due to COVID restrictions. It was a warm night and felt like being in a cafe in Europe. Very good service and food. A lovely experience.
One of the best restaurants in Sonoma. The food is always fantastic, very reasonable wine prices, and just a great experience.
When it's time for dinner out at my favorite restaurant in Sonoma, it's Cafe La Haye. Extremely well run establishment. Incredible consistency. Most delicious food anywhere.
Superb outdoor dining experience. Melissa was the best at explaining the menu, providing great service and having a top notch attitude. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning!
We have dined here several times over the years and the food and service remains outstanding. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions we ate outdoors on the sidewalk, which is less than wonderful. That said, we were happy to support the local business in this stressful time.
We eat at Cafe LaHaye several times a year. Now that COVID-19 allows only outside seating, it has been a challenge. The only reason I indicated the noise level I did is because you can’t avoid the occasional noisy car when you are seated outside in the sidewalk. Normally, inside is quite quiet.
We had an awesome risotto with scallops. Cooked perfectly. Our two starters were creative and delicious. And of course, we could not leave without the chocolate torte, so rich and decadent. As always, service was excellent. We highly recommend Cafe LaHaye.
Corn and roasted tomato soup was one of the best things I ate in 10 days in Sonoma/Napa!
Every bite was delicious! The wait staff could not be nicer. What a wonderful escape from the weird world we are enduring.
Best restaurant in Sonoma, perhaps in the North Bay.
Well curated wine list.
Everything was delicious. The fried chicken over Mac and cheese was amazing.
Amazing food, amazing service and staff
I love this place!
I don’t know if it’s COVID or not but there were two tables and two servers and we had poor service. My quail was raw. The chicken dish was good. Cheesecake was good. Think it’s an anomaly with the pandemic, but it wasn’t great.
In a time when every restaurant should try to go
up and beyond for their guests, the Cheif wouldn’t make a side veggie for our daughter (which was simply steamed broccoli, which came with my dinner). If you’re looking for any “special” service, you might look elsewhere. Besides that, the food was very good.
It was a pleasure to dine al fresco and enjoy a fabulous meal. The staff was as always professional and friendly.
Cafe La Haye always has the best salmon dish of any restaurant at which I have eaten. Their chocolate silk cake is also amazing.
We had a great time!
We were excited to eat at a Michelin rated restaurant, but left very underwhelmed. Based on other reviews, I’m hoping this was just an off night for them while operating during a pandemic, but will not go back.
Friendly and attentive staff and great food. Sat at one of the street tables which was just fine except for the occasional too-loud car (which seemed overly abundant in Sonoma).
Food was wonderful. Service was inattentive.
