First time back to restaurant in-dining and had a fantastic experience. Pork chop and fish prepared excellently and service was on point. Butterscotch pudding was to out of this world.
Cafe La Haye is always great. We appreciate the care they are taking for a safe but terrific dining experience during these difficult times.
What an amazing experience. My wife and I dined outside to celebrate her birthday (P.S. we had my birthday dinner in Jan here too!). The warm, kind and welcoming greeting we received from Saul was amazing. The menu is so good, it made it really tough to decide what to order. But we did and our choices were absolutely amazing! Thankfully my wife and I like to share, so in theory we each had a six course meal. This was an experience to remember for a long time. If you haven't been at all or in a while, I highly recommend that you make a reservation. And please don't forget to bring & wear your face mask. The staff is there taking care of us, so it's up to us to take care of them. Cheers!
Once again, we were not disappointed with our choice to celebrate our anniversary at Cafe La Haye. We have lived in Sonoma for 31 years and Cafe La Haye continues to be arguably the best restaurant in the valley. The food and service are out of this world. Saul and his staff never cease to amaze us with perfection all around. We cannot more highly recommend this treasure in the City of Sonoma.
Although we made reservations, we had to wait an extra 10 minutes or so for our table due to COVID-19. However, the team was very pleasant and gave us updates on our wait. They even gave us a glass of complimentary champagne while we waited. Great food and great service. I would highly recommend!
We took guests from out of town . They had proper social distancing, waiters had masks and gloves , food was excellent as was the wine and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . Can’t wait to return
This was the best meal we have eaten in Sonoma restaurants - delicious! We had roasted flank steak with smashed potatoes and herb sauce. It was perfectly cooked and tasted fabulous. Our server was attentive and friendly but not smothering. We enjoyed yuzu cheesecake for dessert - light and flavorful. I have wanted to eat here for years, but it is always full. It took the pandemic to open the reservations up a bit, and I will plan ahead to be able to go again. Top notch!
As always Saul and his team delivered a wonderful evening even with all the new requirements. Very welcoming, exceptional food and service. Everything you expect from Cafe La Haye
Our first outing since the pandemic. Cafe La Haye did not disappoint!
A wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Hands down our favorite dining out spot in Sonoma. Saul the owner is a gracious host. Service is excellent. And food never disappoints.
Both the chicken and the pork were pretty greasy. Fun to sit outside, but not much charm with paper tablecloth, no flowers or color, and plain chairs. And no bringing in the wine of your choice.
Always the best meal in Sonoma. And the hospitality is truly exceptional! What a wine list!
This is the best restaurant in Sonoma. Intimate and excellent. The menu is limited because of the small size, but everything is great.
Love this place. Favorite restaurant in Sonoma!
WE have been going to Cafe La Haye for about 10 years and have never had anything other than an outstanding experience on all levels.
It is small and has a very personalized feel to it.
The Owner, Saul, always remembers us as well as our special needs as my husband is disabled.
Very special place.
Cafe La Haye has maintained consistently delicious food and service for many years.
Always great flavor layers... eggplant was pretty awesome. Always best of the local flavors.
The filet mignon had a bit much balsamic. Perfectly cooked.
The salmon was fabulous.
Food was amazing, staff was friendly and service was outstanding
My absolute favorite dining in Sonoma!
Exceptional hospitality, service and food. As always.
Great food and great service at a reasonable price (for Sonoma)
The size and ambiance was very good. My husband was disappointed with his meal. Brussell sprouts and salmon just did not work.
The food here is always so good! Everything is perfectly prepared and the service is outstanding.
It’s our go-to restaurant for dates or special occasions. Melissa was a delight, so personable!
Friendly service, lovely menu, interesting wine list.
This was a perfect spot for a date night dinner. I can't believe the number of times we have been in Sonoma and never knew about this gym. There was a minimal wait even though we had a reservation. We were seated at a lovely table. The space is small but they make clever use of of the space with the levels. The specials for the evening were off the charts: I had the quail and my husband had the seafood risotto. Our waitress was super helpful and accomodating with our wine selection. We opted out of dessert this time but will be back here for sure in the future.
Outstanding service and phenomenal meal as always. Couldn’t ask for more.
I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant!
Saul and his staff managed a very busy evening with grace and efficiency. The evening was a pleasure!
I am never disappointed when I enjoy my dinner here. Fantastic menu options for my tastes and you just can’t miss with such a wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Saul goes the extra mile every time to be sure you are well cared for and enjoying your visit. Thank you Saul! We love you and we love Cafe La Haye!!
The food and service is among the best in Sonoma. It is a great romantic spot. My only criticism is that we felt a little rushed.
Always excellent service and food. The menu is compact but there is always something to pique your appetite. The seafood entree is original and the pork chop dish is delicious! The desserts are terrific. Personally the chocolate dessert is a favorite but all are a good choice.
Birthday and everything was perfect
My husband and I were on a Sonoma Getaway and found this gem on Open Table. I have never given so many stars! The restaurant is cozy. Our waitress, Melissa, was friendly & so helpful in choosing our selections from starters, entrees & desserts. We don’t drink but this establishment had bottles of wine that went up to $2500! Don’t let that scare you away! The food was beautifully plated and reasonably priced. My Petrale Sole rested on smashed potatoes with apple cider and bacon braised cabbage. Delicious!!!! My hubby chose Pappardale pasta with braised beef. For dessert we shared both the Classic Affogato and a flourless chocolate cake with a fleur de sel crust! Magnifique!! We weren’t sure if it was the owner or Host who dropped by the table to thank us for dining but he was very sweet, as well. The ambience felt intimate and special. We appreciated that we barely heard the background music and could enjoy our dinner conversation instead. Diners were dressed for any evening out on the town. Overall, we highly recommend and will be back for sure on our next trip.
Wonderful food and comforting environment. Fantastic service! Overall, superb. The eggplant is to die for!
The food and service was outstanding! Excellent wine list!
It was our 57th Wedding Anniversary and Saul and his team prepared a beautiful and delicious dinner elegantly served. Thank you for making the night extra special.
Very fun setting, just off the square. Very good food and service
