We love this restaurant.
Fantastic food, excellent service.
Thank you for lovely evening.
Quaint location. Excellent food and service. A local special treat!
Cafe LaHaye offers great food, very attentive service and good ambience. It’s our favourite restaurant in Sonoma. You won’t be disappointed!
Great spot with wonderful food, service and ambiance.
Everything about Cafe LeHaye is perfect and has been since 1996.
We had dinner there and each dish was excellent. I especially loved their poke appetizer special. I had the risotto for dinner. It was cooked perfectly and super rich/creamy, which I love. My fiancé had the pork chop and my dad had the chicken tajine. They both really enjoyed their food. Definitely worth going to Cafe La Haye if you have the opportunity.
I've been dining at Cafe La Haye for many years when I stay in Sonoma a few times per year and it's amazing to me how they continue to maintain such high quality and service. Bravo!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. Quiet, cozy and creative perfect for a date night. Food was good and service was personal. Felt like we were with the chef in the kitchen. Great way to spend the evening.
Wonderful food and service, as always. The most consistent restaurant in town.
Food delicious, service excellent. Really appreciated exchange of meal I didn’t care for for another wonderful meal. Everyone gracious, efficient, did not rush us, really made every effort to make us happy. A plus to staff and chef!
As always a fabulous dinner at Cafe La Haye. Saul is an incredible host and the food is always great. It is my special place to go to for special occasions or anytime I want to be treated to a great meal.
They had a way of making us feel incredibly special. The service was impeccable. Everything was delicious; particularly the wine they helped us select which was unusual and fabulous. However, the citrus cheesecake for dessert was better than any I’ve ever had before!
I wish I could give more stars! Everything was incredible. Ended with the flourless chocolate cake which was to die for!
We just had a great meal at Cafe LA Haye in Sonoma.
This is our third time and we agreed we need to go more often. The owner Saul Gropman greeted us at the door, and later asked if my meal was okay, since I was hoarding a pork chop and some garbanzo beans to take home.
We were a party of five and enjoyed
Oregon Bay Shrimp Cake, arugula, chipotle aïoli, basil oil
Ahi Tuna poke- a special
Marinated Beet Salad with blue cheese, frisée, red onion, haricots vert
Paul’s Mixed Little Gem Salad with prosciutto, white anchovy, George’s farm egg, champagne-dijon vinaigrette
Risotto today was spinach and sundried tomatoes- very good. No, excellent
I had Miso Glazed Duroc Heritage Pork Chop
warm bacon vinaigrette, chick peas, lentils, blue lake green beans. The garbanzo had just a hint of tart, and a hint of sweet.
My husband ate vegetables and nuts!
New York Strip, collards in a red wine sauce, shrimp and grits. One of tonight’s specials
Trout, arugula, and onions- one of the specials
For desert an insanely rich flour less chocolate cake.
Afagatto ( not sure of the spelling)
And an amazing almond cake with salted caramel ice cream. We got not one, not two, but three additional pieces. I say we but really husband. And it had nuts! Usually I get nuts when I don’t want him to share.
We spent the last week dining out in Carmel and Monterey, and this was our favorite.
I plan to try making the almond cake and garbanzo at home.
This restaurant is always a solid choice. Excellent service and food.
I've dined here before, and I love the concept. Very consistent, the quality of food is significantly better than other restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful meal and dinner experience. It’s clear that feeding and serving customers is a labor of love for everyone in this establishment. I recommend EVERYTHING on the menu, and suggest that you count yourself as lucky if you are able to experience this restaurant.
We love Csfe La Haye, and are regular customers. We had a wonderful dinner tonight. I loved my fish. The chicken tagine was also excellent. We will continue to be regulars.
Cafe La Haye is absolutely beautiful. The server, the food the ambience and the overall general feel is just wonderful. The wine list is excellent I just can’t say enough good things about it.
A wonderful dinner at the café. I had the pork chop which was absolutely amazing. One of the best I’ve had. The service was very nice and very professional. Love the atmosphere. This restaurant does not disappoint.
Wonderful experience. Great food and excellent wine!
Hands down the best dinner experience in the wine country. Comfortable and cozy, outstanding food, creative wine list and super friendly staff. Don't miss this place -- and thanks to the pandemic there is now outside seating (with heaters), too!
Food was ok. Service was snobby.
From the warm welcome thru dessert, absolutely every aspect of our dining experience was impeccable. The server was really helpful with the menu. The trout with truffled mash potatoes was moist with crispy skin; the potatoes had a hint of truffle without being overpowering. Each component of every dish was well thought out and delicious without being fussy.
Excellent service. Delicious, cooked to perfection pork chops and filet mignon. Starters were delicious -- mushroom sherry soup was heavenly! Butter lettuce & radicchio salad was fabulous! Loved the almond cake with salted caramel ice cream for dessert. A great place to celebrate my daughter's college graduation!
Very limited menu but both food and service were excellent
The dinner was excellent: service was prompt and pleasant; food was exactly as ordered; atmosphere was conducive to talking; and Saul, the owner, was attentive and friendly as always.
Very good service but the food is just ok .. rather disappointing..
Easily our best dining experience in Sonoma.
Phenomenal, great choice and our entire party loved it
This is always a mandatory visit on our travels to Sonoma. As usual, our meals were delicious including risotto with shrimp ,and tagine prepared chicken curry. Terrific reasonably priced local wines on the list. Courteous service and warm hospitality are the watchwords here.
The service was impeccable! The Filet Mignon with the bone marrow ajus was OUT-OF- THIS- WORLD
Our dinner last night was simply fabulous. Expertly prepared Risotto special, divine lemon cheesecake, and attentive waitstaff. Wished we lived closer than 1500 miles away!
Sadly, I cannot say anything good about this dining experience. We came here to celebrate my birthday, had a 7:30 reservation made 3 weeks in advance.
The host was incredibly off-putting once we arrived. He sat our party outside, and the only party out there. It was 62 degrees and no heaters.
The female server was equally lacking the personality of the tall gentleman who sat us.
We all ordered the mushroom soup, it was good. We all also ordered the filets. Very underwhelming. The potatoes were made earlier in the day, which was very evident. Also cold, kale was so salty it was inedible, the steaks were overcooked and also cold.
Based on all the reviews, we were all shocked. I understand restaurants have good and bad days, but nothing about this experience was special. It was all very ordinary, and at this price point, it should have been stellar. Bottom line we felt like they were doing us some kind of favor to dine at their establishment. Never again.
Meal was great! Risotto was especially tasty with grilled prawns. And pork chop was outstanding.
My wife and I spent 8 days in Napa and ate at some of the top-rated restaurants in Yountville, Napa & Sonoma and we agreed that Cafe La Haye was the best of the bunch. The quality of the service was only exceeded by that of the food. The cuisine is dictated by the season with a few daily specials. We tried a couple of them and they were fresh and superb! The wine list was excellent and featured well-priced local wines which was a welcome touch after so many meals with incredibly lengthy wine lists only offering expensive selections.
We just dined there and already cannot wait to return!
Delicious food, great service.
Simply the best place in Sonoma. Great food served in a cozy place prepared and brought to you by people who really like their jobs.
Great food and service, always a treat when I dine here, never disappointed
