   Took one of our clients here for a business lunch and the service was outstanding. Definitely would come back for an evening meal as the atmosphere seem really suited to it.

   I've been coming here since the early 90's when I lived in the City Centre. I lived in the US for over 10 years so it's been a pleasure to be reacquainted with the place. The food is really good - service is excellent - and for what you get it's good value.

   I choose here after my friend wanted tapas but i fancied something a bit different an dhad an amazing mezze at a London turkish restaurant a few weeks ago. The menu here was mainly lamb main dishes so we ordered a few starters instead to try to create our own mezze style meal. All pretty average and nothing that i would have again. Place was quite empty but service was good and staff friendly. Just not for me

   This was my first visit to Cafe Istanbul and I left very happy. The bill came to a good price for what we had consumed. My lamb was outstanding and just ripped apart. My partner enjoyed her chicken which looked plentiful. The house wine was excellent for the cheap price.

   We booked a table for 4 couples, but only 3 ended up going. A couple of people had hummus to start, it was served in a large dish with a spoon, but no pitta bread? A couple had donner meat, but it was very dry, no sauce, bland, and they would of been better just picking up a kebab on the way home. After going to the toilets, the smell was dreadful, really smelling before you even got to the toilets, the toilet area was really dirty. I would not recommend the restaurant and I would not go again, we were all very disappointed, and then when we paid, service charge was included, we were asked if we were leaving a gratuity!

   I took my husband to Cafe Istanbul as a birthday surprise - it's his favourite restaurant, even though we now live in Birmingham. It was well worth the trip. The food was first class and the staff could not do enough to make our visit special, (even supplying a lovely birthday drink on the house.) I can't wait to go back!

   Came here with my partner for an evening meal, neither of us have eaten Turkish food before, but we loved it! The food was brilliant and the service was great too. I'm not sure of our waiters name but he was very friendly and smiley - give that man a raise! We'll definitely be visiting again soon :)

   Food was ok, but I didn't mind paying £4 for ra can of red bull my friends drank alcoholic drinks that were way cheaper. Other than than the night was ok.

    Wonderful restaurant, can't fault it at all. Excellent, friendly service... Very quick too. The quality of the food was very high indeed. Couldn't fault any part of the experience and will definitely be going back again.
