Cafe Ibiza was a really wonderful surprise. We made these reservations last minute and I cannot express enough what a lovely experience we had. Our server Darko, who I believe mentioned it was his first day, was honestly one of the best servers we have ever had. He was very friendly, incredibly attentive, helpful with suggestions, and just truly provided wonderful service. It was Valentine's Day so I did expect a longer wait time for food, busier servers, etc - none of this was an issue. There was wonderful (but not too loud) live music and dancers - everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves. The restaurant itself was cozy and romantic. The view of the oceanside was also a great plus and we wished we could've tried more of the drinks! At the end of the meal, Darko even brought me a rose as we finished our meal. We left feeling full, well taken care of, and incredibly happy. Highly recommend.
All terrific - music too! Will always go here when in Ft. Laud. Used to be Cafe DelMar and the new place does it as well or better,..same fab location, oceanside.
All good but I wasn't tremendously impressed with my grouper. That said I have been spoiled when it comes to the best grouper so I should have known better and ordered something different. All the other food was awesome and everyone was pleased with their dish.
We had a table that was overlooking Rte. A1A and the ocean beyond. It turned into a rainy night so there was poor visibility but that made for significantly less traffic and foot traffic. Our table had vertical heaters so we were comfortable while dining. My wife had Sea Bass which as excellent, and I had grilled shrimp. Portions were fine but a bit pricey for the type of restaurant and atmosphere. There was a singer who was supposed to perform during dinner but we left a bit early (7:30pm) due to the weather so we cannot comment on that aspect of this location. Service was very good - not overly pushy and our water glasses were kept filled. Good place to go if you like to people watch and have a drink along the waterfront. Decent food, fun atmosphere, casual dining.
Amazing drinks and entertainment. The guitar player as dancer were an awesome addition to the evening. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and let us enjoy the night. Thank you so much.
Food was excellent. Music was loud.
Visited for 1st time... Great service & entertainment‼️
meh.... all I can say is just meh. not fabulous. the lounge act needs to go.
We had a fabulous experience at Cafe Ibiza. Quite frankly, I didn't know what to expect, but once our hostess sat us outside to honor our opentable reservations, we really liked the vibe. The menu was really great with lots of choices. Our meals were delicious. We had the Branzino. It was large enough to split along with a Greek Salad which we also split and an appetizer. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced and the exotic drinks were also interesting. The best part of the evening was the entertainment. There was a guitarist and Flaminco dancer that really were good. We definitely will be back.
Great restaurant but expensive. Amazing views of the ocean, great live music and very good and attentive service. The portions are quite large...could have gotten some appetizers and then shared some main courses. For 4 people, 1 drink and a glass of wine, was $250 US. This is not cheap. The seafood and fish other than the rubbery calamari was fresh and tasty. If you are on vacation, want great views and music and are ok to spend a bit, this is the place for you.
Love the Spanish guitar at this cafe. The food, ambiance and service are also great. You will not miss out if order any of the seafood dishes. Great selection of top-shelf
Great service and something for everyone on the menu. Group party of 18. Spectacular view of the ocean.
Dinner and service was great, but the live entertainment was outstanding! My kids had a blast (early dinner 😃)
Food was great, service great, entertainment outstanding.
I was planning by birthday dinner there for 20 people- 730 on a Saturday night! They reserved me a beautiful table that was ready to go ON TIME - the servers and hostesses were awesome- super friendly and helpful-
The music and entertainment was the best on the beach !! After dinner we went next door to rock bar for a few and even came back to Ibiza to dance and eat desert until 1am- They made my night ! Loved it!!!!
Took advantage of the Crave dine out deal. You had to ask for the menu instead of them suggesting it. The calamari seemed to come from frozen back and then thrown in a deep fryer ( like what you would expect if you opened up a bag of Ore-Ida onion rings). The clam chowder was delicious and served in a bread bowl. I ordered the salmon which came with a side of vegetables. The salmon was not prepared with any sauce or glaze, pretty plain Jane. I could’ve made that at home. The apple pie dessert had too much cinnamon. Parking nearby will run you $10 minimum unless you decide to walk a few blocks where you can pay less using an app. We sat outside but it was very loud because of the live music So basically had to scream to have a conversation. The server was nice but it took her a long time to get to us on average and the place was not busy.
Good food, Great service, fun environmental. But very loud!
Wasn’t all that hungry so I had a Ceasar Salad (all lower head ribs and lite color pieces) and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp were very good. I’d pass in the Salad had I known u was getting the end of the head. Cocktail was tasty.
We decided to go during our short stay in Ft. Lauderdale. Food was super delicious & the 2 for 1 margarita was a really good price. We ordered penne alfredo, cajun chicken pasta, lobster ravioli, the coconut shrimp, and the 2 mango margaritas. Everything was super delicious and everyone ended up super satisfied with the food. I will say the portion was a bit small but we ended up getting full from everything so no complains! Also, the bread they give you with the oil is over the top. Wish I could’ve brought a whole thing of bread home. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good place to eat.
Honestly worst place I have ever eaten at and I’ve had my fair share of bad restaurants, the waitress was rude and had no type of class, when she asked me if I wanted “chicken” or “shrimp” she back handed my shoulder. The food was another story, besides the fact that it took forever to get to our table, it sucked; I specifically asked not to put olives in my food and it was like the pored an entire bucket of olives in my salad. Don’t go here, it’s expensive, food sucks, and service is horrible.
Went twice really like this place and I plan on returning
Great drink specials, and the drinks were not watered down which made them that much better. Food was some of the best we had on our trip. The fish and chips appetizers is a meal in itself as well as the coconut shrimp. Just beware the 2 for 1 drink special does not coincide with the 10% coupon
Service was great.
Perfect for many occasions, with a water front view, and lots of people watching. My sister and I were celebrating birthdays, and we were happy with our choice of dining. I had the grouper and she had the Greek salad. Both were delicious! Nicky or Nickolai was our waiter, and he did a great job making us feel special and that we had everything we needed. I would go back when I am back in Ft. Lauderdale.
We had an excellent meal -both the grouper and branzino were delicious.
We loved the live music.
Terrible food. My lobster ravioli was pre-made and the sauce was lumpy and bland. My husband’s chicken and veggies were too salty and lacked flavor. $100 meal and we were both disappointed and had stomachaches later.
After calomari as an appetizer which was okay, my main course of veal scalipini showed up. The plate was wet and runny; the breading was falling of the veal. My wife looked at me in shock and said "How did that even make it out of kitchen?" It also tasted bad. I sent it back and had a bowl of soup which was average. Very bad experience although her meal was fine.
It’s a nice place to eat and have a drink out doors
Food was ok but service was good
Surprisingly excellent food. We enjoyed the calamari and other seafood dishes. Everything was well prepared and fresh. The seafood arrabiatta was very good. Our server was also very attentive. One warning: service charge is included regardless of party size (our server was kind enough to inform us).
Waiter had a poor attitude and was very mean
Broken glass in my little girls drink and the waitress could have cared less. Some of the food came out cold and most of my party was not happy.
Excellent on all levels food, service, entertainment, cleaniness. Very hands on but low key management. A wonderful experience!
Be carrefull with air conditionner.
It's too strong. (too cold)
Reliably good Latin-inspired food and very friendly service. Great for watching the passersby on the boardwalk, and the Spanish guitarist is super entertaining.
Food was fabulous! Great seafood restaurant. Shrimp and scallops were huge and amazing! We should have gotten more raw oysters - they were also delicious. Was happy to take advantage of 2 for 1 mojitos. We were a group of 6 women, out for girls night and the vibe was just right. Live music was amazing!! Our waiter read our table and had fun with us too. Drinks were never too low, food came out in a timely manner. Didn't have dessert but it did look delicious as well. Highly recommended for a boisterous group like us!
Of all the restaurants in this vicinity (walking distance) this is the best.
We were in town for vacation and found Cafe Ibiza on Open Table. We *wanted* Mediterranean food and were expecting a menu along those lines. What we ended up with was a Caesar salad, fish and chips, and coconut shrimp. It was fine. It was by no means the best of any of those things, but it definitely wasn't Mediterranean. We also had a pretty hard time finding the restaurant (given that we weren't local) and when we called to ask for help, there was no answer. Perhaps that's standard for that area, I don't really know. At any rate, know that you are going to a place on Fort Lauderdale Blvd., but need to park behind and walk around to the front.
Quite a find! We went for the food and stayed for the music. The guitar player that night was wonderful to listen to. Our waiter was charming and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend Ibiza to anyone vacationing in Fort Lauderdale. We would go again except we live in Massachusetts so it would be a long drive!
Food was fabulous and live entertainment was the the best.
