Cafe Gratitude - Venice Ratings and Reviews
We were excited to go there and made a reservation but the hostess didn’t seat us for an hour after we got there and I think accidentally gave our table away. We reserved our table to make it for breakfast but since we were seated so late we didn’t get to have breakfast,. Bummer but the food was good
I was recommended Cafe Gratitude by multiple people, so decided to try when some friends came in town. I was a little disappointed. It is obviously all vegan/organic, which I am fine with and knew going in to. That said, I found the food to be bland. Between appetizers, my entree, and trying my girlfriends, it was pretty underwhelming for the price in my opinion. Would recommend to people looking specifically for vegan restaurants, but other than that I would look else where.
I visited Cafe Gratitude off a recommendation - thanks Nico. The meal I had is easily in my top 5. I had the HUMBLE with the GLOWING juice and finished off with the JOY truffle. Shannon took care of me from start to finish and her service was first class. The meal was so good I bought the cookbook! There's also a question of the day so watch out for that. I am grateful. I wholeheartedly recommend Cafe Gratitude
Terrible service, we waited almost an hour for our food to come out and watched at least 2 parties that ordered after us receive their food and leave before we received our food. Waiter tried to argue with me and claim that everyone else was waiting. They comped part of our meal but it felt like a battle to complain for a legitimate reason.
Beautiful place, excellent food. It was the best vegan cafe where I've been in LA so far.
On the terrace, it was quite noisy but with a great atmosphere.
My friend and I came to celebrate her late birthday, and wanted to order the "Honest" plate. But my friend is allergic to the ginger and it was one of the ingredients there. One of the waiter asked the manager come to our table to discuss how we can replace ginger and if we need, other ingredients. The manager was super nice and very helpful.
We will definitely come back again and I would recommend this place to my friends.
Service was friendly and accommodating but slow. My dish, I Am Evolved, wasn’t true to bibimbap at first (too leafy) but became more palatable in the lower layers: warm, mushy, more blended. Best I’ve felt after a meal in a long time: nourished and satisfied but not bloated or oily. Makes me consider going vegan more often.
My "go to spot" every time I pass through or stay in Southern California. The food is creative and always delicious and Vegan! Wish we had one in Santa Barbara! The people that work there are happy and it exudes into the food and environment. A must try for anyone who has yet to have a positive experience with Vegetarian, Vegan and Raw cuisine!
We loved our meal at Cafe Gratitude. Very fresh and tasty food that is very good for you. The attentiveness to each person's dietary needs was fantastic. Service was not rushed, but we were visited several times after our food arrived to make sure we did not need anything. It's a winner.
Was looking for something a fresh for lunch and this place was perfect!!! Had the mole enchiladas and my friend had the asparagus pizza they were so delicious! The ingredients mixed so well and it was definetly what I was craving, I've been recommending and talking about this place since I've left!
Salad was great. Very tasty. Quick service. A little corny with the way they suggest you order "I am ____". The question of the day for discussion at the table was an interesting idea. Since it was a business lunch we did not discuss but stilll a good question "What inspires you"? If they only had real bacon.
Pathetic in almost every way, Cafe Gratitude only offers a great location, scene, and ambiance. The brunch is miserable. Not just in a lackingly unappetizing usage of vegetarian options, but also in terms of service, presentation, and quality. It is unusual for me to write a review, but at least the Cafe was consistent in one thing—serving everything cold: the unappetizing coffee, the food, the service.
