Cafe Gratitude - San Diego
On the whole, we enjoyed our dinner very much and would be happy to to try it again.
The only issue to speak of was the service which, while more than friendly enough, was quite lacking when needed.
I love Cafe Gratitude's healthy menu and the way their menu items are named with such positive affirmations.
I don't live in San Diego but Cafe Gratitude is a must go restaurant whenever I am in town. On this occasion we took 4 friends to brunch there. The food options are creative and interesting. The food itself is delicious. Everyone was delighted with their meal. The service was great, despite it being really busy. The atmosphere is light and airy. I recommend it highly!
Amazing food, very cool atmosphere, awesome service.
An amazing dining experience. All of the food is delicious and the staff are amazing.
I love Cafe Gratitude ❤️ The menu has such a variety of choices it’s hard to choose what to order sometimes, but luckily I am never disappointed on flavor or taste! The staff is kind, helpful, and provides exceptional and efficient service. Cafe Gratitude is always on the list when visitors are in town. Vegan or not, this is a must go to place for a unique dining experience that leaves you feeling not only full, but full of gratitude for the abundance we have in our own lives. Thank you Cafe Gratitude!
I’m never disappointed when I eat here and, since I don’t live in California, I eat here every time I’m in town. The food is delicious. The service is always excellent. And the ambiance is fun.
Overall it was lovely. The service was fantastic and food very tasty.
Food was delicious, but I am glad we were able to take advantage of the restaurant week special. Otherwise, prices would have been a bit high for the portions offered.
THIS RESTAURANT HAS A ‘B’ RATING!
MY RECOMMENDATION IS THAT THEY IMPROVE THEIR SCORE, FOR EVERYONES SAFETY! I JUST READ WHY THEY GOT THIS RATING DIRECTLY FROM OUR COUNTY’S HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLINE...THE IRONY! EWWWW 🤮
The vegan fare at this restaurant is SO good. The layout of the restaurant is a modern diner! Would highly recommend this place for a date night and even to check out alone for healthy dining options. The pulled mushroom sammy did NOT disappoint!
Took advantage of Restaurant Week to enjoy a 2 course lunch at this Little Italy restaurant. Being a vegetarian for over 40 years I was really looking forward to this Vegan spot and it was well worth it! We started with the brussel sprouts and buffalo cauliflower. Both were good with a nice char on the sprouts and just a hint of heat in the cauliflower. For our mains we chose Devoted, an Indonesian grain bowl and Committed, a pulled mushroom sandwich. The grain bowl's peanut sauce added to the flavors of the vegetables it contained and as it was swathed along the side of the bowl you could add as little or as much as you wanted. The pulled mushroom sandwich was delicious as well. Well worth a second visit. There was a small issue with the bill regarding restaurant week pricing but our waitress Kayla readily resolved it with the manager.
The food was very good and the service was impeccable. The I my disappointment was that we had a reservation but got seated at a four top table right by the door — would have thought we could have had a more intimate seating option.
Love this place. Food is fantastic
Had to wait for our table despite of the reservation. Everything else was good
Cafe Gratitude doesn't disappoint. My husband and I go frequently - the food is excellent, the people are wonderful, and the atmosphere divine. Where else can you get an incredible vegan meal with such awesome vibes?? :)
Food was very. tasty. Wife and I enjoyed this outing.
Decided to work on some New Years resolutions and eating healthier. My fiancé and are meat eaters and we were shocked at how much we enjoyed our breakfast. I am Festive was better chilaquiles then his mom makes and were sooo flavorful! I had the French toast which was pretty good. The bread was a little soft for my liking, but tasted great and was really filling. Will definitely visit again!
Food and service was great. Had a wonderful yummy birthday breakfast.
It's good food and good wait staff but the prices are about 1.5 times too high.
Cafe Gratitude is all plant-based but absolutely delicious meal. We went there twice for breakfast/brunch. The Acai bowl with quinoa/cashew granola is to die for. I wish they sold the granola separately, for I would buy it in bulk! I can't recommend it enough for anyone that is vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free or just looking for a healthy meal.
Their food is why eating plant based is so easy!
Great service and great staff.
Love it. Sweet servers. Calm, well decorated space. Amazing food.
They make eating healthy EASY! The serving staff knows answers to what is available and modifications they can make if needed.
Great food and restaurant. Love the regular vegan foods, but they could do with changing the menu a little more regularly. Been going for well over a year and it’s pretty much been the same.
Need to start varying thedishes more or come up with a weekly/monthly special.
Great service great food excellent experience all around
I loved Cafe Gratitude! I thought the food was all incredibly delicious, and I loved that it was all vegan! The cafe was also very beautiful and pleasant to dine in. My main issue is with the service, which was very slow, and they forgot one of our dishes. Still, a wonderful experience with healthy and delicious food.
perfect place for vegans and non-vegans open to try good food.
We loved the technique of ordering. Awesome and positive vibe in the restaurant. Great empowering food/drink nicknames
I liked the creativity in the menu and the overall positive vibes. The only contradiction is that it does get pretty loud, so maybe you could work on the acoustics of the place. Considering your concept and the importance you give to lighting and ambiance, sound is something that definitely needs to be worked on.
The food was good, but on this visit the service was v e r y S L O W. Took forever for our server to ome back to our table to take our food order after bringing the drinks. We were hungry. After trying to flag someone down to help us another server went to tell our server we needed something but didn't deign to come to our table to see if they could help. Please put some team work into this restaurant! Any server should have been able to help us.
Overall the staff is Great and the food was great! My only question is why there is a vegan restaurant in Little Italy? I thoroughly enjoyed the food as this was my second visit. I wish the location was elsewhere. I come from North County and going down to Little Italy, I would rather eat Italian then go vegan.
I have ordered from this vegan restaurant several times, but this was my first time eating there. It is clean and comfortable. The food is always good.
Fantastic food, and very pleasant service! Coworker and I were in town for a conference and came for dinner, we enjoyed everything very much!
Went here for the first time on Sunday and it was awesome! Maybe a little out of my price range but as a college student- what isn't? Would make sure to stop by again.
The food is not to be missed. But noisy is noisy. Not energetic. Ordering via affirmations is a bit over the top. When they came up with this idea in a meeting they must have been serving too much organic espresso. Get past all that and it is a wonderful place to dine, not simply to eat.
We enjoyed the Whole and Evolve bowls. Delicious and very fresh ingredients. Excellent service, comfortable booth, and we were able to store our luggage with the host during our meal. For local, organic vegan food absolutely worth travelling to!
I am not vegan or vegetarian but I loved this place. It’s what you’d think of when you think SoCal - light and bright decor with marble and wood accents. The staff is extremely friendly. If you have any sort of food allergy they have a “book of knowledge” that gives you every single ingredient. My friend has celiac and an almond allergy and it wasn’t a problem at all. We ordered the guacamole, buffalo cauliflower and broccoli raab as appetizers - they were all very good although my favorite was the cauliflower. I ordered the burrito with fries instead of chips and my friend ordered the burrito bowl. We each loved our meals. Our server Olivia gave us some excellent recommendations of places to see while we’re in town. We loved it so much we are planning on going again for a pre-flight dinner before we leave.
One of my favorite spot for vegan eats when I visit San Diego. It was Taco Tuesday and the roasted squash tostadas were the best tostadas I’ve had anywhere. Always a fun place to hang out with friends
