Cafe Gratitude - Larchmont
Their nachos with (mushroom) carnitas! That's all you need to know!!!!
Our server Emily was so delightful we wished she could have joined us!!! We loved every item we ordered - and we ate A LOT!!!
They've changed their menu and I think it's been better balanced in the past. The vibe at Rose St is much more welcoming than Larchmont and I haven't noticed that in the past. Our server was great but clearly overworked while other employees stood around. Seems like it would be more in character for everyone to do whatever's needed to get food to tables and cleared in a timely manner. They appeared to be understaffed at least as far as waitstaff and the morale did not seem good.
I love Cafe Gratitude! The food is always great. It can tend to be a little pricey since it is all organic but I’m OK with that. The falafel were very flavorful! We also had the kelp noodle pesto salad and it was so good!
Awesome place and perfect for that vegan coworker or friend
always great food and relaxed outdoor patio makes it really comfortable to connect with freinds
Service was great. Food was even better. I will definitely be going back.
Food is good but overpriced. Service was really slow.
Really healthy pure vegan food and drinks near Melrose!! Delightful ambience and such a welcoming place.
Bus boy drop a tray of cutlery right next to me and it all feel on glass and metal causing a very disturbing and scary sound. I thought it was an earthquake! got spitting headache thereafter. Told waitress and expected at a minimum an apology and a complimentary dessert- but nothing!
Ruined my dining experience. event equated to Poor customer service
Another great meal at Cafe Gratitude. The nachos were excellent as was the curry bowl I enjoyed. Great and friendly service as well. Any negatives? The key lime pie tasted like wall paper paste. The only reason you would know it had any lime in it was the small sliver of fresh lime on the top. Ugh ...
Not sure what is happening with this location but the food quality is terrible compared to their Venice location.
I ate here a few years ago and it was incredible and I’m not a vegan. I was so impressed with the melted cheese on my panini and the ceasar dressing was divine. This time around, not so much. Ordered a black bean burger with cheese and it had some neon orange paste slathered on, no warm melted goodness. The burger tasted just like black beans were mashed and pressed into a round patty. No flavor. The ceasar was made with a
lettuce which is too flimsy for the heavy dressing. Last time it was made with kale and it worked perfectly. They changed many things on the menu and not for the better. We did have the buffalo cauliflower which was delicious, but everything else was incredibly meh.
Such a fun vibe, great people, amazing food...It is one of my favorite places to go!
Superior and creative food choices. Lots of options for all palates. Vibe is chill but there is sometimes a Hollywood vibe as well.
One of the best menus for Vegans in LA! I never leave Cafe Gratitude disappointed.
Love everything about the place! Amazing vegan fare, charming service, AND super easy parking, which is a big deal in Los Angeles!!!
Thank you for a great birthday bunch experience!!
Very tasty vegan food. The potatoes that came with the veggie breakfast burrito were so simple yet tasty, and the ketchup tasted homemade. The quiche was fantastic. Two of us shared two dishes and we couldn't finish them, so the portions are great for leftovers. The coffee was ok, but to be fair, I'm very partial to the kind I make. Server was nice, and they played great music.
I’ve honestly never walked out on a meal like this. Me and my brother are both vegetarian and eat at lots of clean dining food but the vegetables were not fresh, the avocado was brown and the cauliflower was acrid and bitter. We were unable to eat our food so I asked to get the check. The waiter said “sure” and when he brought the bill my brother asked “don’t you even want to know why we left our food?” And he answered “did you want a to go box?”. The whole thing was a debacle. Absolutely would never go back.
It was basically very nice. there were a lot of empty tables but everyone was squished together as if to make it easier for the servers. We felt like we had no room and everyone was on top of each other.
Had a great lunch. We aren’t vegan (but do have celiac) and we all loved everything we ordered. The portions are large so we couldn’t finish everything but we loved the menu so we didn’t want to share so we could try lots of items. Buffalo cauliflower.
Good food. Great people. Crowded at times and loud.
The bowls are tasty and filling, which was pleasantly surprising to me as a non-vegetarian dining with vegan colleagues.
The guacamole’s perfect balance of salt and citrus with nice blend of texture, and the homemade tortilla chips are out of this world!
Not cheap but very tasty and healthy — and with friendly people hosting and serving. A mainstay of mine.
The restaurant has a very casual atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and generous. Of course,. The food was great.
The buffalo cauliflower app was good. My friend I ordered the pulled mushroom sandwich and it was disappointing. Tasted like artificial smoke. We also had to really flag down our waiter. Not worth the price
The food is excellent. The Torta Chopped Salad with Mushroom Carnitas was one of the best salads I've had. Staff was courteous and attentive. Food came out very fast. Great atmosphere. A bit pricey for a salad but that's to be expected at a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. I will definitely go back!
Noise level is ridiculous.
Seating was crowded - cafe chairs bumping into the people behind us and sitting directly over two other diners. Awkward and strange.
I would never go back unless we sit outside.
Leftover entree dish had soured by next day.
Also they were sold out of the only 2 desserts we were interested in.
Gluten free options were difficult to identify.
coffee & matcha not palatable
overcharged for replaced coffee & coffee sent back
my guest like breakfast taco pancakes were cardboard need to update kitchen so many more vegan options ingredients to use to make lighter tastier pancakes& way better matcha& coffee
service not great
Had the Brussels sprouts and the fried mushroom sandwich and both were delicious. The iron skillet cookie was out of this world. Want to request the fried mushroom sandwich be a permanent menu fixture.
Service was very friendly and efficient. Can't wait to come back.
Great food at an affordable price. Took my mom here for mother’s day and the whole family loved it! The service was great and I will definitely be back. My only wish would be that there was more outdoor seating.
I am Vivid, I am Empowered, I am Cozy...This is what I ordered over Mother's Day since the establishment encourages patrons to order the items on the menu under their code names and with the sentence "I am...". Ok maybe I made it sound lame, but it really is not. My mom, wife, sister and college age daughters thought it was just the right touch in completing a healthy vibe for our breakfast together. BTW the food was really good and it satisfied both my Vegan sister's needs while not alienating my 73 year old mother's sensibilities. The service was bright, cheery and competent and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there. It's nice to know that there are healthy places to go out to eat at that leave one with a good fresh feeling as well. Well done!
First time there —it was everything I hoped it would be. I wish I lived closer I would be there more often
This place has a nice attitude, but is a bit expensive.
Cauliflower - great. Macrobiotic bowl - very good, but the sea vegetable could have been better. Indian bowl (Humble?) - excellent because a little sweeter (with chutney) than the macrobiotic bowl. All the drinks were dissappointing from a Michelada, to a Pear cocktail (with sherry), to a wellness shot (Brave) with lemon ginger turmeric etc. Sad that they ran out of the key lime pie, so we couldnt try.
The “carnitas” is a $4.5 add on... it is literally a teaspoon worth. Left hungry after $45 for lunch
One of my fave places! The staff at the Larchmont location was so helpful and nice.
One of my FAVORITE vegan gluten free places to eat! The nachos to share are amazing, the indian bowl is the best and the black bean burger is awesome. Also, I love the tumeric latte. Everything is yummy! Service is great. Perfect place for a date, getting coffee/lunch with a friend or stopping in just for a juice.
Amazing place!!! I took my best friend there because she can’t have gluten and meat. The food was amazing and even though being gluten free and no meat (for all the doubters), it was so flavor full and full of so much goodness and so filling. And the theme of the restaurant is all affirmations and positivity.
Never fails, always consistently good. Whenever I want excellent and healthy food, Cafe Gratitude is the place for my family and friends.
