Cafe Gratitude - Larchmont
Very chill and quiet with a healthy and nutritious menu.
This is my first time taking the journey of being a vegan, and this restaurant has made me like my decision even more! The food is so delicious!
Love this place and our server was the sweetest guy!
When our group of 4 got its food it was not at all hot...
The staff is always friendly and genuinely amazing.
The food is expensive, but you get what you pay for- if you want vegan food that is all organic and healthy, you'll pay for it, right? My only complaint is that the skillet cookie I ordered was WAY overdone and very unimpressive for the $12 I spent. I never saw the waiter until 20 minutes later, so I couldn't send back.
This place never disappoints, and I sincerely mean that. Hadn’t been here in two years. Wasn’t sure what it would be like. Came here for a date, and the food, attention to detail and overall experience was phenomenal. Not sure how these guys consistently keep up this level of quality, but theyre amazing, the entire staff.
How much do I love the ability to have a positive affirmation while I dine? So much so that I’ll eat at any location in Southern California!
What a disappointing experience! I've been to the Venice location several times and was so excited to chose this Restaurant for my Birthday lunch with a good friend... after raving about what a cool experience CG offers. How embarrassing! Our waitress was so lack luster, and you could tell hated her job. The irony that she works at Gratitude Cafe. She offered very few recommendations regarding menu options when asked and I don even recall her checking on us. With the many options in LA, I'm bummed that this location will never make it on my list again.
Cool place, amazing food, slow service. Would recommend the smoothies!!
Food was great. Service was on point - our table was ready and even when we were just chatting they weren't overly eager to kick us out. Look forward to going back.
delicious and healthy great service nice decor sat on the patio
As always, Cafe Gratitude delivers on service and fantastic food.
This place never disappoints.
Wonderfully friendly service, delicious vegan food - home run!
Amazing vegan place with yummy vegan dishes ! Holy Mole try the chilaquiles with mole sauce superb! My hubby had the tofu n tempeh bbq scramble super yum yum Thank you ! Staff were super nice !
Delicious and you always forget it's all vegan from a carnivore
Fantastic food. Excellent service. Had a reservation and there was no wait. Parking no problem. Shared 3 appetizers and each had own entree. Cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Nachos delicious. Vegan Pizza was incredible. Would definitely recommend Cafe Gratitude to others!
Delicious food, great service!! This restaurant is a neighborhood gem!!
We love Cafe Gratitude!! The food is delicious and we would be here every week if we lived closer. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday lunch, so glad we had a reservation. It was very loud but still nice for a birthday lunch. Again, cannot beat their tasty food!
Our server was excellent, friendly and patient since we were chatting and took us a bit to order. The only reason I give a very good on service is the hostess. It was cold out and even though she explained they had heaters we preferred to sit inside. She either did not seem happy we didn’t want to sit outside or was having a bad day. When she showed us to the table and gave us the menus I thanked her and got no reply.
The food as always was delicious. It was my sister-in-law’s first time and she was very happy with her Indian Curry Bowl. I had the I got the Indonesian Grain Bowl which was very good.
Chai was excellent!
We were a party of six for breakfast. They were out of many items, to the point where the available choices were really few. The waiter was not curteous nor apologetic for the menu shortcomings. He was rude and had a pretty arrogant attitude, as if he was doing us a favor. The food was OK but the experience poor at any price. For their price, not worth it. We will not be returning.
I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at Cafe Gratitude. The food was tasty and fresh. I look forward to my next visit and plan on ordering the açaí bowl again!
We had to wait for an open table even though we had a reservation. The drinks that we ordered tasted different from the last time we ordered them. The rest of the food was great.
They took over 20 minutes to bring us our check, but the food tasted great.. small plates for the price.
Wonderful, creative and healthy food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Outstanding service and ambience - The menu items are affirmation words, so when you order they repeat back to you "You are grounded, you are trusting" aka I got the smashed red potatoes with house made cashew fiesta sauce (aka grounded) and tempeh scramble (trusting). That freakin' cashew sauce and potatoes were so so tasty. My waiter also gave me hot water with lemon wedges on the house - thank you! (Sorry I don't remember your name.)
It was quiet in the morning at 8AM when I went - music about medium in volume (like if you had a migraine it might be too loud?). I dug the music selection for whatever that subjective opinion is worth.
There are affirmations on the walls. Seasonal food.
Not cheap, but not out of this world expensive either. I would say the price matches the quality and consideration put into the food options. Definitely will be back to try the herbal lattes and fresh juice mmm.
Lastly, I love that it was sorta simple - a lot of vegan places make these wild dishes with ingredients you've never heard of - needn't be so fancy to taste amazing! And still an interesting array/combination of flavors.
We had stopped coming here because the portions had become so small that we would leave hungry after a meal. That seems to have changed and our dinner was really good and filling this last time around. Thank you for stepping up your game we are grateful for the change and will be back.
edited to add that we went back thinking this place had changed but we received such small unsatisying and overpriced portions that I had to edit my review. Too bad, doubt we will ever go back plus they really need to clean the place. The bathrooms and floors are filthy which doesn't inspire confidence in the overall hygiene of the place.
We experienced the Dine LA Menu which has such great options and Was super delicious. We enjoyed blessed, devoted and whole for our entrees all full of flavor and super yummy on a cool evening!
Amazing Vegan/ Vegetarian selection with good and friendly service makes a great combination
DineLA was great!!
Food, as always, healthy and delicious. Service is friendly, helpful and not too obtrusive. It’s always a pleasure.
Excellent find. Great service. Our waiter really helped with our menu choices and it was obvious of his love for the cuisine. We will be back on our next trip to LA.
Ordered the chilaquiles and they were delicious! The chickpea hash was a great egg substitute :)
it was my birthday and you allowed me to book it just for me to show up and it was class. i’m very disappointed. ruined my birthday dinner plans.
We absolutely loved dining here. The menu has a great range of options on it and the food is delicious. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and service was fast. Would definitely eat here again!
I’ve been to Cafe Gratitude twice now. The first time I thought the food was flavorless. I gave it a 2nd chance—again, I couldn’t eat what was on my plate.
I’m guessing a vegan diet is pretty bland and Cafe Gratitude does nothing to change that impression for me.
The wine, was delicious—expensive, but delicious.
This place is very hit or miss. Sometimes the vegan options just work (SF burrito is great and the grain bowls are often a good choice) and sometimes things just miss the mark (not worth having the "pizzas"). Had a delicious vegan mushroom soup however, frustrating salad choice. My mother specifically told the waitress that she can't handle spice and the salad we ordered, the Fantastic, unbeknownst to us (it wasn't listed on the menu) had hot sauce in it! We didn't send it back but mentioned it was really hard to eat; we asked if we could possible have some bread to cut the spice. We were then charged for the bread, when really, we shouldn't have even been charged for the salad after we complained about how spicy it was! For a place that has no meat on the menu, it is pretty expensive.
The food was cold, service was pretty slow and no mention was made regarding the special occasion (my birthday). Overall, not a very positive experience.
Nice atmosphere, great service but you can find better vegan food elsewhere
