Everything about our experience was top notch! From food to service it was AMAZING!
Made reservations for 615 and got seated shortly after we got there, a little before 6. The restaurant wasn't too busy for a Wednesday night but our waiter never got to us until after 35 minutes of waiting. Offered apologies but no reason for delay until the end of our meal. Asked to see a manager before waiter came up but did eventually got to talk to the manager who offered comp desserts. Food was nothing notable. Calamari was okay. Short rib ravioli was ok but wouldn't order it again.
Not too impressed with my last few visits. Won't be returning.
Nice ambiance, good food but waiter was absent!! Finally got drinks and appetizers but never got to order dinner
Great food as always, service is excellent
The food was delicious, the server was very nice and the Bloody Mary bar that is open on weekends was on point! Not sure my pizza and one Bloody Mary was worth $30 but if you want to splurge on a brunch with friends at one of the few local restaurants that moorpark has to offer then cafe Firenze is your best bet.
My wife’s birthday
I went out to dinner at Cafe Firenze with a good friend to celebrate our birthdays, and it was amazing! Our server was funny and helpful, the food (the special stuffed pork chop and pesto gnocchi) was amazing, and overall it was great for a special occasion! A little pricey for an everyday dinner, but perfect for a birthday or anniversary!
Food was great and our server, Chelsea, was excellent. The music was terrific too. A fantastic singer guitar player was a great find for that restaurant to have.
We made reservations with the notation of celebrating a 91st birthday. We also asked for a quiet booth due to hearing issues and were accommodated due to our early hour dinner reservation. The food was excellent - however our service was exceptionally poor. Our server was lackluster in her approach - never smiled - barely spoke - did not greet us or welcome us. The first acknowledgment of my moms birthday is when the server set done a rather sad looking dessert with a tiny candle and said “this is your birthday dessert, does anybody want to order anything else?” I wasn’t expecting balloons dropping from the ceiling nor a marching band - but I did expect a smile and a better acknowledgment. Excellent food - but we won’t take a chance on the service again. We won’t be returning.
The food and service were amazing! Definitely coming back
Great spot, accidentaly no showed day prior, family in town made it tough but food and service is great each time we have been. Went 2x in same week, if that says anything! We also did the wine club there, can always cancel if we change our mind, and we love wine!
Food was good but took some time before waiter showed up
Good food and service. Noise level is high. Good place for groups and couples
Absolutely phenomenal food and service every time.
First time here. The ambiance was truly beautiful. The service was great. The food superb! Thumbs up!
Normally this place is great but I wasn’t happy this time around for a few reasons. 1 they had a guy singing near the bar which is normal but it was much louder than normal. 2 I think the waitress forgot about our table, that is after the initial wait of 15 minutes for her to come in the first place. 3 they changed aspects of the wine club and didn’t bother to inform me.
This restaurant was worth the drive. The food and drinks were excellent, as well as the service.
Service was fairly good.. There was some confusion on some drink items due to different people attending to our table and some language difficulty.
We sat on the patio which turned out to be a great spot. Since it was quite loud inside the restaurant, this location gave us a better opportunity to converse. If it had been hotter outside, it might not have been as appealing. Food was excellent.
At the Chef’s bar. Great food and service with a show in the kitchen. Ton of fun and a must do.
Food was good. Bar is a little loud with the musician playing. Outside dining was quiet and nice. Portions are good, prices are fair. Cuisine is decent
My only complaint is that the hostess took us to what seemed like the worst tables. We had to ask for a particular booth inside to accommodate 3 people. Very odd treatment at 6:00 on a Saturday when the place was less than half full.
Food was good but expensive for the atmosphere, would not return for casual dining
Exceeded our expectations. I will not hesitate to recommend the restaurant to friends in the future.
Food is always amazing. This time the I felt the service was less than outstanding. We were sat, greeted by our server, water was offered and poured then nothing, for over fifteen minutes, no bread served, no wine poured, were we forgotten? We were in a booth at the back, there were a few tables occupied but by no means was this a packed house. Like I said the food was amazing, it’s always top notch and the wine, as wine club members we had our bottle, was perfect. Just wish the service was more attentive. This is the second time we’ve been there with the same result. I appreciate wanting to give the customers time, bring us the bread and our drink, then we could careless how long it takes!
Really enjoyed our dinner- food was delicious, table in front of kitchen was terrific! Only thing “off” was our martinis weren’t very cold. 😕
Crab cakes as appetizer is a favorite! Their specials are always creative. It is worth hearing what they are before making a final decision off the regular menu. This time I had the pork tenderloin with roasted peppers mashed potatoes and toasted hazelnuts special. Did not disappoint! My friend had the short ribs ravioli off the menu and she was delighted with her choice. Great service, too, as always!
This place used to be our go to celebratory place - or just a nice dinner out. We will not go back. The evening started with trying to order two different bottles of wine off of their wine list, they had neither. I decided to order a martini instead, as I know they have amazing martinis. What I ordered and what I received was two different things. They fixed it once we figured it out, but the bar tender came over and pointed the finger at the waitress, and the waitress came over and pointed the finger at the bartender. Our food portions seemed much smaller then before. We had to ask for water and drink refills. When we made our reservation we had written it was our anniversary. They did nothing (and I know they do things to celebrate because a) we have been there before to celebrate our anniversary and b) the table behind us was a birthday and they brought out a treat for them) For a bill of $130 the experience left a horrible taste in my mouth. I did speak to the manger - she did comp part of our bill - but by that point, the evening was pretty much done. My husband had already stepped outside and told me he would never be back. Something that was a tradition for us, has now come to an end. I wish Cafe Firenze could find what they used to be, because the road they are going is not a good one.
Exceptional on every level...one of the finest restaurants in the area.
We enjoyed our dinner. Sandy was an excellent server!
This was our first time at one of Fabio's restaurants, and we were not disappointed. The flavor was great, a little heavy. We ordered everything we could watch including two desserts and it half the cost of Giada's at the Cromwell and tasted better. Service was fast and friendly, never felt neglected and the wait staff had great stories. The crab cakes were the best part of our order.
Very fresh food from a menu with great variety. Perfect service.
Celebrating a new job and the waitress provided a surprise dessert for us to celebrate the occasion. Great experience and the Tagliata dish did not disappoint.
We come to Cafe Firenze quite often. It is always phenomenal! Neighborhood gem without a doubt! Consistently incredible!
Inventive yet reasonable menu with a wide range of tempting choices. Nice presentation, good wine list. Only fine dining choice in Moorpark/Simi area
We just moved into the neighbor hood and what a pleasant surprise!!!!!
Great fish special and pizza was done perfect!!!!!
Great unexpected find, will definitely join wine club on our next visit!!!!!
Friend's food was not properly cooked ( pork undercooked ). Remaining party members ( 5 ) had nearly finished our meals when her meal which had been returned finally arrived. Shockingly, the pork chop which was quite substantial when initially served had been carved where essentially only the bone remained. Our friend commented, "I will never eat here again!". On a positive note, the establishment deducted her meal from the bill. My dish which consisted of pasta, asparagus, and crab was quite a disappointment. The crab was barely discernible where I could find perhaps one or two tiny pieces of crab ( less than a teaspoon ). Previously, we had enjoyable experiences at this restaurant. Sadly, this dining experience has turned off many in our party.
We used to love this place! We even got our favorite waitress who is normally great? The service was awful; poorly prepared to answer questions about the menu and so impersonal!!! Bread was awful and it used to be so good? Menu changed and has less options which isn't helping chef who can't cook! Too bad they messed it all up!!! Used to be a great restraunt, we won't be back!!
Really enjoyed everything about our visit from the moment we were received until we paid the bill. Service was perfect, all the meals were excellent and the ambiance with the live music was great.
As always the food is amazing. We just wait to be told what the chefs special are and go from there
As always everything was excellant - our server Lizzi was great.
