It has been a very long time since we had such a tasty meal. Very difficult to find a place that cooks better food that I do!
Food was very tasty, drinks were tasty, service was attentive and helpful.
From our experience, the meal was well worth the price.
Our family loves this place. We will be back soon, with family visiting from South Carolina.
The kitchen staff were awesome o talk to and the food was amazing
Unfortunately my gnocchi wasn’t hot enough and they were soft. This is their premier dish! Pizza not great. Too much sauce & not enough cheese. But gelato good & coffee hot this time. They need improvements!
The service was poor because of the wait for bread which I had to ask to have some. The wait of our food and all what was said that we are having issues in the kitchen. No one came to offer something for the issues they were having.
We came to celebrate Mother’s Day. While we knew it would likely be busy, we planned ahead and made our reservation well in advance. Upon arrival, they had a difficult time seating us and stated that they were very busy. We could understand that, but we had made reservations well in advance, so we weren’t quite sure where their priorities were. The food was fabulous. Always delicious and never disappointing as we’ve experience d in prior visits. The service however was terrible. The server took quite a long time to come over to our table upon being seated. She didn’t tell us any of the specials and we had to ask her if there were any. It turns out there were several wonderful specials and we were glad we asked and insisted that she tell them to us. She couldn’t remember the specials however and had to keep checking her notes and even then didn’t seem to get the right. We waited an hour to receive our appetizer. This was really disappointing, especially considering we had two children with us. The server never came to check on us, never gave us an update during our hot long wait for our appetizer, and to be honest she seemed like she didn’t want to be working that particular night. We weren’t sure if she was tired or just not eager to be at work, but her service was less than satisfactory. My husband had to ask three separate people for some steak sauce. By the time it arrived 3/4 if his steak was already eaten and was cold by that point. Normally Cafe Firenze is one of our favorite places to go for special occasions. Tonight the poor service outweighed the delicious cuisine. We err so tired of the poor service and waiting that we passed ok dessert and called it a night.
There for Mother's Day brunch, seated us at 2:00 pm, the food in the serving trays was already sitting to long and over cooked, servers were making up there own plates, the server handling the cotton candy station told my grandkids that she was off the clock, they ran out of champagne for our "bottomless mimosas" so we had a total of one each. This horrible brunch cost $65.00 each for adults and for our 7 & 9 year old grandkids $50.00 each. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion.
Cafe Firenze is always delicious and has a great atmosphere with a friendly staff. Love the food, wine and martinis!! Great dining experience!!
Found the add for Mother's day brunch listed at $40 per person, bill was for $65 per person. Carving station was unmanned and meat was cold, pasta station was undermanned and puny portion after looong wait. All in all a poor experience.
Went for the Mother’s Day brunch and it was so good everyone enjoyed it all. Would go back in a heart beat!
Was extremely bummed out by this experience, to be honest.
Knowing I would be alone on mothers day with my 4 year old son and 6 month old daughter, I decided the last thing I wanted to do was cook myself breakfast. Having been to Cafe Firenze for my birthday dinner last year (had an amazing time!) and knowing that they had brunch and I've always wanted to get brunch here, I looked up their website and reviewed it, then checked out the brunch menu which ultimately led me to book a reservation. I was really excited about the menu and couldn't wait to be served for my mother's day breakfast here.
BUT I got there and upon being seated, found out it was buffet style. As you can imagine, this was really unfortunate being I was alone and difficult to manage with a baby in my arms and a toddler on my side. The omelet bar was Amazing though. Everything else was cold. The staff was so kind, attentive and complimenting me but I was really bummed that the website didn't specify nor was I prior informed I couldn't order from the usual brunch menu.
We had been at our table for 30 minutes when our bill was dropped off, and at this point I felt rushed to leave. I was SHOCKED that the price was $65 a person. Especially since I hadn't even gotten thru my plate of food, only had 1 mimosa and was still eating when the bill was dropped off. Definitely didn't get my money's worth, nor will I attend a buffet here again. I wish someone would have specified something along the way. I didn't even get a chance to try to ham they boasted. I felt like a nuisance and left.
Hit this place on a regular day, I highly recommend it. I'd avoid their buffet though. It feels like their top concern was getting more people in and making more money.
Date night or any night. Sit at the chefs counter and enjoy the show. The food is great and what I think is a super value compared to other restaurants of who charge more for lesser quality.
We had a very good experience at Cafe Firence! The Service was good and the food delicious ! We will be back!
As always Cafe Firenze has outstanding food and service. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and always enjoy our time there. Food is excellent, service is great.
We have been here many times and have never been disappointed with our visit. A little out of our budget as a regular eatery but great for the special occasion.
My wife and I decided to have dinner here at the last minute and on a Friday night. The food was wonderful and the service provided by James was exceptional. It was exceptional in the fact that anticipated our needs and accommodated our requests during dining. He was friendly, courteous, attentive, and non-intrusive in his style of taking care of his patrons. We will be back and when we do, we want to sit in his section. Thank you, James!
Food was great! Seated immediately at reservation time. Only complaint was that service was slow & waitress was not extremely knowledgeable about food prep questions & was not very pleasant.
Very good food, nice atmosphere, nice waiters, overall a 5 star experience for a 3 star price
This place was an unexpected pleasure! Picked it on a whim and were pleased with the food, the beverages and the desserts! We came early on a Friday afternoon and the place got busy fast - glad we made reservations. The chicken marsala was the best anyone at the table had ever had (yes, we shared it around, it was that good!) and everyone enjoyed their selection. Great wine list, by the glass or the bottle (maybe a little pricy) and the service was good as well. The food was so good, we bought the cookbook!
The food and the service were fantastic! However, it is sooooo noisy on a busy Friday night. The acoustics need some work. Lively is good, deafening is very bad. My husband and I could not hear each-other.
Cafe Firenze is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to dine. We live in Simi & have nothing that compares to this restaurant. Be prepared to spend some money, but it is completely worth the experience. The food, atmosphere, & service is top notch. Can’t wait to take some cooking classes & attend some of their special events.
Service and food was amazing! The staff was helpful from beginning to end.
This place is always exceptional. Our entree did arrive when we were only half way done with our appetizers, but they kept it warm.
Despite this small hiccup, everything was great (as usual)
Have been there many times, never disappoints!
We were seated in the "outdoor" annex. Very comfortable space and a lot less noisy than
the main dining area. Our server was very personable and the service was terrific throughout
We had checked the menu out before coming and really liked what we saw. Everyone was very happy with what they ordered: the sole, the baked eggplant and the short rib ravioli.
All said and done, a great evening. It was our first time there but we will definitely be back.
Everything was excellent! We always love eating here!
Best restaurant around. Had the eggplant for the first time. I don’t think I’ll ever order anything else and I’m a meat eater.
OUTSTANDINGLY MEDIOCRE. I have been there before and it was really good. I have not been there for over a year. I went because my sister and her husband was visiting and I wanted to make it a special event. We were a party of five. Only one person like what they ate. The others (including me) thought it was mediocre at best. Service was terribly slow. Forever to get someone to take our order, forever to get it. I ordered a second glass of wine, only to cancel it when it arrived after I had finished my meal. The cappuccinos with dessert were delivered cold, and I had to wait a long time to get a hot one. The bill came out to $260 for five people and we only had three glasses of wine in the whole dinner party! No other alcohol. This place used to be quite good, but it is definitely no longer near worth the big bucks they charge.
One of the best restaurants in Ventura Co. We visit every month. The short ribs and gnocchi are favorites.
Unfortunately my husband's chicken was soft and mushy in the chicken scallopine. I ordered baked rigatoni and it was dry and overcooked. My friend's half roasted chicken looked underdone. Coffee should have been hotter too and the Chardonnay selection by the glass not very good. When the restaurant opened it was great. Then when Fabio stopped being there consistently, food quality declined. We stopped going, went back and it was better. But this last visit resorted to not so good.
Easter Sunday 🐤🐥🐣
Easter brunch was wonderful.
Easter brunch was too expensive for the selection we had from which to choose.
It was very nice
Food is always great!! Service wasn’t as good as usual this time...but our favorite waitress Marissa wasn’t working. Will definitely be back.
The service was so slow from the waitress and the kitchen. It took 20 minutes to order drinks then another hour to get our food. The chicken Marsala was completely dry but it had taken so long we just ate it and left. It’s not like they were very busy that night so I don’t know what the problem was.
This being said, I have been here multiple times and never had this experience before. The food has always been consistent and the service good.
I will go back again, someday, and would not discourage anyone from going there. Especially for happy hour.
Plain and simple amazing the food was great and the service was great.
Seated promptly at table as requested. Really nice and engaging service by Tim, helped make the evening even more fun. The Pancetta wrapped Shrimp are always and were Fabulous. Had Short Rib Ravioli which is also Always excellent. We also enjoyed a Mozzerella Salad, which they prepared for my wife even though it is not on the Menu now. Excellent overall dining experience, thank you.
I had not eaten here in about 20 years. We were glad we went, food was good, service was excellent. I would recommend it.
Service was wonderful! Bacon wrapped shrimp and calamari appetizers were delicious. Sausage and truffle pizza was excellent. Chicken scallopini was yummy. Pasta dishes were just okay...bland and not that flavorful. Wouldn’t order pasta again but the rest of the meal was great!
