Epitome of Fabulous Italian food!
The live entertainment was excruciatingly loud.
So wonderful. Meals, service, space.
Great place, wonderful food and very attentive staff. We will definitely be back!
Always great food and service.
Once again we visited Cafe Firenze, this time to celebrate a Birthday. We arrived early while waiting for other guests to arrive, and we were able to be seated right away, however we decided to order cocktails at the bar area and listen to the live music while we waited for our friends. Once they arrived we were immediately shown our table. The server was great, very personable and funny; she was also very good at getting things right, the first time. The food was great, as usual; everybody in our group enjoyed their meals.
We are also members of Cafe Firenze's Wine Club, which allowed us to bring our own bottles of wine without a corkage fee. Given that the Wine Club fee is $20.00/month, and includes a bottle of wine every month, as well as other perks, we find it well worth the money.
Great food, music, service (especially our server, Joanne who was exceptional)!
Loved the live music!
New Years Eve, excellent service, food, drink, staff friendliness, start to finish. Our favorite place!
Great food, as usual.
You cannot go wrong with Cafe Firenze. The food is amazing, the service is top notch and the entire experience was wonderful. We were celebrating my MIL’s birthday and had a variety of age groups and tastes to satisfy. Everyone loved their choices. We had gnocchi, Fettuccine Alfredo, the sole, fusilli and one of the evening’s specials. Everything was wonderful - from the first course through to the lovely desserts (crepe brûlée and chocolate mousse cake will just melt in your mouth!)
The wait staff are always so accommodating. We felt very well taken care of and never had to ask for anything - because they were right there with whatever we needed.
I highly recommend this restaurant - whether you are out in a large group or looking for a quiet and romantic dinner. You won’t be disappointed.
Food was ok. Not a great value. Service was slow. Had to repeatedly ask for things and be told by the waiter the he had asked someone else to get it. One dinner of of 7 was stone cold so they threw it in a microwave. Have felt better about spending $500 for 7 meals at other places. Probably will not go back.
From the moment we sat down, our server was rude, never asked house our food was, didn’t offer bread and offered every table that was sat around us bread. The food runners took better care of us, ordered an appetizer and didn’t have a plate, after waiting for a couple minutes to ask someone for one, I grabbed one from the table across from us, food was great, but server completely ignored the table as much as she could.
Amazing food from start to finish. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive
Peter, our waiter, lived in Hawaii for a while. He smiled big and tried his best to add Italian words to his speech to make us feel transported to a quaint, little town in Italy. He was kind, knowledgable and most of all...entertaining! He was the perfect match for the fun and creative food we ordered. 'Petro' made us feel as though we were guests at his home and he had cooked our meal and bottled the wine himself. The beet tartar was unexpectedly unique and snaked on the platter like a sleeping dragon. The Ahi tuna was perfectly paired with black lentils, leeks and pancetta. Before the Pappardelle and blackened salmon was served, everyone within the kitchen range was reacting to the affects of cayenne in the blackened sauce as the salmon was prepared and restaurant goers breathed it all in. It was well worth the tickle in the throat. At the end of the meal, to celebrate our anniversary, Peter brought us a bread putting that we didn't find on the menu. When it was time to go home, we didn't want to leave and we briefly discussed never cooking again if we just came here every day. Like Anthony Bourdain once said, “your body is not a temple, it's an amusement park. Enjoy the ride.” Thanks for the E-ticket ride!
Our appetizer course was a shaved Brussel sprouts, bacon and fingerling potato salad with a vinaigrette dressing. It was a large portion and delicious . My friend ordered the seasonal risotto which never disappoints and I ordered the baked eggplant which was rich, cheesy and delicious. We were much too full to even look at the dessert menu! A wonderful midweek dinner experience!
Great evening at Cafe Firenza! A little noisy with several holiday groups made it hard to carry on a conversation. Meal was a bit rushed as entree's came right after salads. I mean as the salad plates were lifted the entree's hit the table. Wife's pasta could have been cooked a tad more. Overall though, we had a great time.
Excellent service. Out server was great and was accommodating when we took time to decide our choices.
Food was great, as always.
My husband and I loved our short rib ravioli and shared the Caesar salad which was plenty for two . Our guests also enjoyed their meals .
Excellent service and food was incredible. Always amazing staff and atmosphere.
The food and service were excellent!
We were seated promptly at our reservation time. We had a great server (Sandy). Had to wait a bit for water refill and then coffee was served awhile after dessert was served but otherwise excellent service! I had the NY and it was delicious. I am picky about steak and usually do not order it unless at Mastro’s because I’m always disappointed. No it is not like a Mastro’s steak but it was very very good. No disappointment here! We had such a lovely evening, the four of us joined the wine club. That is a SCREAMING deal. Check it out if you are ever at Cafe Firenze.
Great spot for both groups or date night. Food and service are always on par.
Service was great! Food was delicious.
For all the WOW I have heard over the years - I thought " It was just OK." I was not Wowed. They had ran out of the appetizer we wanted (Guess its popular and would have loved to have tried it - but oh well) and the dish I had needed seasoning badly. Very bland.
Noise level is horrible and I actually sat waiting for my food with my fingers in my ears at times - the noise was deafening. Sorry to say we wont be going back.
Delicious food! Disappointed they were out of tiramisu and creme brule. We sat down at 6:00pm. Too early to be out of the most popular desserts.
While the food was outstanding, as usual, the service was a bit off. It appeared that our server was trying to cover too many tables and had to rely on the rest of the wait staff for assistance.
Great Birthday dinner. Dinner was excellent.
Worst service I’ve ever had here. I made reservations three weeks in advance. They seat us in their patio (the Firenze equivalent of the kiddie table). That’s the best we can do?!
Then we wait 37 minutes to order a cocktail, and then only because I asked the water guy to find someone to help us. 37 minutes of making eye contact with our actual waiter who looked at me at least five times and just kept walking. Not even a “I know you’re waiting and will get to you as soon as I can”.
Finally a waitress who was not assigned to our section took our drink order. Once the drinks arrived (we’d now been in the restaurant for 50 minutes) she just offered to do the rest and help us order food. She saved the night, but at that point our mood was not festive to say the least.
If any decent restaurant opens in Moorpark it’ll drive Firenze out of business. So sad.
As always, Cafe Firenze is great! Never disappointed!
Amazing! The food was incredible and service amazing!
There were four of us and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meal but one. The Ochieete was supposed to have crab, aspargas and pasta. There was little to no crab, very disappointing.
We love this restaurant. The Wine Club is awesome. The staff is trained perfectly, they are courteous and knowledgeable. The food is amazing. I would recommend making a reservation, they always have our table ready the moment we step inside. We have never had to wait even 5 minutes with a reservation.
We belong to their wine club. It is at least a monthly visit to dine and have the wine selections, which have been good for the moderate $20 price. We have been trying the special dishes, quite good.
We loved everything about the restaurant food, the place, the waitress. We will be back. Have already recommended the restaurant to friends
Food and ambience were great but our server completely abandoned us. Not okay!
Nice interior, good food & excellent service--nice evening out with friends.
Food was amazingly tasteful! I have had this restaurant on my foodie list for a while, and I'm so sad I didn't make it here sooner. The duck bolognese was to die for, also tasted the pumpkin mashed potatoes which were perfectly creamy with a nod towards pumpkin; it paired great with the perfectly cooked medium rare steak. The appetizers, especially the fried mozzarella with the bacon jam, were exquisite! I can't wait to go back and make a meal out of their appetizer menu.
Service was just so so. Took a long time to get the food and waitress was not that attentive. Drinks were very generous for the price. The food was very good but for the special fish for the night which was very small and just ok. Also one of the meat dishes was just ok. Pork chop was delicious. Gnocchi that came with the pork chop was just ok. Caesar Salad and Wedge salad were very good. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Might go back.
I've been two Cafe Firenze twice and have been really impressed with the food and service every time. Great place and all my guests loved it too.
