Took my visiting Texas cousins to dinner last Saturday. We were not disappointed. Good food, lovely ambiance, kind, attentive staff. Will be back with more family on special occasions in future.
Mediocre food in a restaurant geared to tourists. Despite location near Lincoln Center, not a good option in my opinion.
Brunch for three generations! Something delicious for everyone including the calorie watcher. A treat in mid-town, not to be missed.
This is one of the best places in the world to eat. I had a fantastic time with my parents eating at your place. Everyone was nice and the phone was exquisite. Thank u for the food and the hospitality.
Fiorello’s strength is that they get you decently fed and out the door by curtain time at Lincoln Center across the street. Service is brusqe, volume is loud, food is acceptable. But, we were right on time for the opera, well fed, with no hassles. In season, a reservation is an absolute must. Off season, there’s lots of competition in New York.
One of the few places where you can go for a bite after the Lincoln Center performances. Food is steadily good as is service.
It's a go to place near Lincoln Center with family friendly menu and energetic, lively crowd.
Noise level was much too high. Service was very slow. Would not eat there're again in the evening.
The food and service are consistently high quality.
We love the place. Never disappoint us. All stuff leading by perfect management is great. Always make us feel like home. We have to have dinner once a week. And I am writing not because we are regulars but we are regulars because of place and wonderful crew.
Waiter was slow and confused
Old School NY now includes things from the 80's - so its old school I guess - somethings are really still fantastic - some - eh. The pasta dishes are simply just delicious - the Carbonara is a 20 year favorite. I wish they'd ditch the veal or offer them with chicken. Sometimes if they recognize you they give you the good room - if they dont you get the anti-room which is more comfortable so you win either way. The cannoli still eh. And a quick delicious vegetarian dinner at the bar is a Lincoln center pre theater breeze.
Cafe Fiorello can be quite busy and noisy. It was the last time I ate there. Every table was filled and the scene was bustling. Sometimes I'm in the mood for that but not usually.
Our waiter was running around like crazy, appearing as if he had too many tables to handle.
There was an initial long wait, but then the entrees arrived too soon, while we were still eating appetizers.
Burrata ravioli is to die for!
This place always delivers, though a bit on the pricey side. The service and food are top notch and usually a lively NYC crowd. Portions are generous and seating is comfy. Always make a reservation or you will wait for the first come first serve outdoor seating.
Having lunch there a year ago was much more pleasant than our dinner. For our dinner this week, the wait staff were friendly, helpful. The ravioli w/ burrata was lukewarm. Very noisy. I would go back only for lunch.
Maitre d' was very accommodating when we arrived very early for a dinner reservation on a crowded evening, yet he was able to find us a table so we didn't have to wait too long; and service was very good at a hectic time. Food is always very good here.
Food is delicious and portions are huge. However, everything is extra. I would prefer a smaller piece of veal and a vegetable be included in meal. The additional $7 for a small side of spaghetti is too much and should be included with the dinner.
The quality of the food and service is consistently excellent.
Lovely & tasty as always, but one thing...
My wine: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo...I order regularly, but this time it was a bit “off.”
I should have complained, but I didn’t.
Either it was a different wine or the bottle was open too long. At $14 for 4 ounces, it should be fresh. First time this ever happened.
Please pay attention. Many thanks.
Fiorello is still a favorite, practically the only place we ever visit for New York City dining. That's partly because it's convenient to Lincoln Center. I had a marilena salad (grapes, pecans, arugula) which was excellent except for the rather high vinegar content of the dressing. The ravioli buratta may be the best ravioli I've ever (that is, in 65+ years) had---not the usual stuffed squares, but rosebud-shaped pillows of the pasta tasty on its own, filled with two cheeses and surrounded by tomato pieces (not the usual tomato sauce). The caprese featured yellow as well as red tomatoes. My cappuccino could have been fresher (obviously poured before I ordered it) but was still very good. Ice cream is priced by the number of scoops, which makes good sense. Service was attentive (even overbearing, when the waiter made 3 approaches to whisk away our appetizer dishes before we finished that course). But we appreciated the efforts to get us across the street to the opera on time.
First time, prior to attending a concert at Lincoln Center.
Food was good, with a nice selection. We had the special, Salmon over lentils.
Menu has a good selection of appetizers and pasta.
Service was attentive, understanding we had a concert to attend.
It was terrible! We ordered a salad and waited 1.5 hours for the main course. By the time the food arrived we were not hungry anymore. The excuse was that the chef called in sick. They offered free desert which I did not want. It was the worst birthday I ever had.
All perfect; just super loud as it got closer to “show time”....still had a great time!
We were initially seated in the back where it was cramped and noisy. I asked to be moved and they complied. I don't know why, as a regular (I go there at least 2X a month), and with plenty of other seats available, we were initially given a crappy table. However, to the restaurant's credit, we were moved to a more satisfactory location.
The food and service were good. The tables were much to close together and you couldn’t even talk. I would not recommend it to any friends just for that reason.
VERY NOISY and crowded. The food was good but not exceptional.
An outstanding restaurant. One of my favorite italian restaurants in NYC and that's no small order. Although a large restaurant the service is very personal and attentive. I always feel welcomed. Their antipasto is delicious, their bread to die for and there Chicken Parm remains the best I ever had. The portions are huge as well. My friend enjoys the salmon and the fried artichoke.
They come by with a tray of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and they have a chafing dish of delicious dark chocolate as you leave.
I highly recommend this restaurants. The service, the ambiance, the food and the portions are second to none. And, a tremendous value!
It's a must if you are attending an event at Lincoln Center.
Great before or after Lincoln Center
Everything was good. One negative comment, place is too busy and the seating we got was not very comfortable. Tiny table for 2 with uncomfortable chair.
I WAS SEATED IMMEDIATELY ALTHOUGH MY GUEST WAS STUCK IN TRAVEL. SERVICE WAS PROMPT; WAITER VERY RESPONSIVE; FOOD WAS GOOD; A PERFECT VENUE FOR GETTING OUT IN TIME FOR LINCOLN CENTER CONCERT. THE OUTSIDE SEATING MAY BE AN OPTION NEXT TIME!!!
Always good and the antipasto bar offers lots of seafood and vegetarian choices. Service always competent and friendly. Not inexpensive, but worth it.
Always a good restaurant considering it is rather noisy. The hostess was accommodating when I had to asked for a table away from the mainstream. The food is terrific and the #1 reason why I continue to come to Fiorello's.
Cafe Fiorello is a good place to dine if you're tired of haute cuisine...the food is good and the service is wonderful. Very accommodating.
The staff works hard, to provide an excellent dining experience.
Great food and service, but we had to yell at each other to be heard. Way to loud for a pleasant conversation. I couldn't wait for the meal to get over so we could leave and go somewhere to have a nice conversation with our friends. Too bad, since we came at 5:30 on a Tuesday eve and thought it would be quieter. Sat way back in the restaurant which should have helped, but noise level rose very quickly since tables are so close together.
Every time I go to Fiorello's, I enjoy it more and more. Comfortable, great service in a relaxed environment, with great food. I cannot ask for anything more!
Great as always, just like all the the Fireman restaurants.
Great place and our annual Easter dinner. Thank you too all of the staff and for the great table (Bob Costas, Bernard King, Alan Alda). See you all again soon.
Matteo, the Manager, a great host! Carey, our server, very attentive, courteous, friendly, & professional!
Wonderful food with great surroundings!
