Always a good meal here. Service last time was just a tad slow but maybe they picked up on three good old friends catching up and somehow divined we'd be perfectly happy chatting.

Stars of the meal were Artichokes alla Giudia. Not sure if they're on the menu but you have to ask for them. Grilled Veal Chop was also done perfectly.

food is tasty, and high in quality. but too expensive. $19 for a cocktail? it's high even for the neighborhood.

Cafe Fiorello is a favorite pre-theatre stop for us. The food is good and consistent. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is professional and efficiant. You'll never go wrong eating here.

Food was excellent— roast salmon cooked perfectly! Table was too small to accommodate dishes ordered. Did not interfere with the quality of the food—just awkward.

Formerly when you asked for a glass of wine they would bring a small container and serve half of it in the glass and you served what was left later. Now they serve the same thing but they call that a “large glass of wine”. The trick is that now they charged $23 for a glass of pinot grigio which is a bit outrageous. A second “large glass” was another $23 as was a glass of chianti. We ordeed an insalata caprese to share as a starter but that consisted of four thin cubes of not too ripe tomato, three slices of mozzarella and (why?) two small slices of avocado. Avocado has never belonged in a Caprese. Not enough to share, so we ordered another appetizer. The open face lasagna - one of our favorites was overcooked so that too much of th pasta dried up and a stuffed eggplant was nothing to rave about. Just in case this was a bad night, we skipped desert. Bottom line, this was a dispointing experience in one of our favorites. The service was excellent, as usual, the location is great and the ambiance very pleasant. The food was unusually not up to par.

Bustling and loud local Italian restaurant with mediocre foot and disappointing service. Took forever to order. Food came before cocktails and things were forgotten. It was busy but not packed. Beware if you have food allergies. They do not take them seriously except gluten. Very disturbing.

The food was good, but the waiter forgot part of my wife’s meal, and when he brought it, it was cold. Most of the waiters were masked, ours was not. That caused some consternation! The staff checked our vaccine card, but did we get to check our waiter’s vaccine card??

The lasagna was excellent. The veal Parmesan that my friend had was also excellent and she said that their tiramisu was among the best she ever had. The chocolate mousse that I had was worth the extra hours on the treadmill required to shed the weight gained.

The service is great. All the waitstaff and the front of the house are the best. On the whole, most of the food did not disappoint. The pasta was al dente, as I suspected and the vodka sauce was mildly spicy, which was not expected but was totally delicious. My only complaint is that the clams oreganato were mostly breading and did not have a good proportion of seafood. Otherwise, a nice way to spend a pre-ballet lunch on a Sunday afternoon.

Probably due to Covid-19 the service was absolutely horrible. 1-1/2 hours for breakfast was the worst I’ve ever experienced at this restaurant.

This place is an institution. Pasta and antipasti is the best. New menu item: garlic bread. Splurge, totally worth it . A bit different aesthetically, after covid, pretty decor but an added tv that feels a little out of place lessens the old school quality. I do miss the free bread and flatbreads. I hope they are still walking around with warm cookies from the tray! Critiques aside, will always be a favorite. Get the cheesecake!

I’ve eaten here many times over the years. The service last night was very disappointing. We had not yet finished our antipasti when our entrees arrived. I really regret that I didn’t ask the server to bring them out after we had finished the antipasti; we were going to the ballet and I was concerned that if I sent them back, we might not see them again until much later. The waiter also did not offer my friend fresh pepper or grated cheese for her pasta; she had to request them. I have never before had this kind of experience at Fiorello’s. The service has always been gracious.

The location is across from Lincoln Center so makes it a very good option for pre-performance dinner.

Tourists trap. Wanted to find a nice authentic Italian restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. This was NOT it. do not recommend. The food was of low quality and way overpriced. The food tasted like something one would get out of the freezer section. Better off going to Olive Garden. While not authentic, at least there you get free salad and breadsticks!
