A forum for Lincoln Center’s performing arts culture for nearly 30 years, Café Fiorello features a sprawling bar filled with more than 50 kinds of antipasti. Finished in warm wood, brass and mirrors, the main dining room suggests a timeless charm. In addition to the hot and cold antipasto specialties of vegetables and seafood, the menu features updated Italian classics and specialty dishes, as well as a selection of seafood, steak, veal & pasta.

Cafe Fiorello has been a Lincoln Center favorite for decades. For the past ten years or so, I have taken to sitting at the front bar where bowls laden with various antipasti are becoming arranged and beckon the diner's choices. You have always been able to choose a plate of several (three or five) at a favorable price. However, the offerings actually served up were somewhat tired when I dined here a couple years ago, and last night the food was downright sleepy. Truffle mushrooms were wonderful, but it was rather downhill from there. Eggplant parmigiana was limp and devoid of the tang that makes it special. The beans were ok but did not sparkle with crisp greens mixed in as it can, and the zucchini parm had my dinner-mate and I both poking and wondering at this odd orange object with something white on top of it. We also ordered sausage and peppers and found instead some kind of "wrap" in which no meat could be found. Upon inquiry, were told it was a vegan sausage and pepper dish, but I could taste neither sausage nor vegan anywhere. Portions are generous and our server graciously added a free appetizer, but I would have preferred fewer that were more appetizing. I will come back to this place for the fine ambiance and talented bartenders, but may try the regular menu offerings next time.
The food and service was great -- as always. One of my favorite places in New York.
Excellent restaurant with great service. I highly recommend the artichoke frittata! We eat here frequently and it’s always a perfect choice.
The breakfast was really good. The gooey omelette was fresh and very tasty. The coffee was delicious and the french fries were to die for!! The staff was courteous and polite.
Food and drinks were very good. Service a little slow but very pleasant. Very crowded and noisy.
Everything picture perfect!
My friend recommended that we meet here. I liked it. Will come back.
Service and ambience always wonderful. Maitre d', James always make us feel welcome. Now our go to place before the opera. Had fried shrimp app with aioli, could have eaten it all night. The shrimp are tender and the aioli has a touch of tarragon for added flavor. Partner had bruschetta with goat cheese and let me have a sample. The portion was generous. Just as good as the shrimp. I chose the special of the day, gnocchi with truffles and porcini in cream sauce. Gnocchi were light as a feather but could have used more salt....but then I am a salt lover. Even so, it was super. Partner had a double burger very rare. It was cooked to perfection. finished with the lemon curd pie. Wow...must have it again the next time. We'll be back.
I’ve been coming to Fiorello since they opened when it was much smaller… but the food has always remained superlative.. the bartenders attentive & expert… the waiters always on the mark with advice… its my favorite and most dependable restaurant at Lincoln Center..
Food was great and location is very convenient to Lincoln Center. Classy place, but they didn't fill our waters when we sat down, and it wasn't a busy night. Also charged me $25 for one glass of wine. We will probably go back, the pepperoni chicken was amazing, but I guess I have to ask how much a glass of wine is next time. Ok then!
Convenient to the Met with pre show dinner. Portions were large and delicious.
My first time visiting Cafe Fiorello. I was meeting a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. I was able to meet my reservation and allowed to sit even while my friend was running late. While I waited I was offered water and asked if I would a beverage. This was nice as they didn’t ignore me as I waited for my friend. Once she arrived the we greeted promptly by our server. However, he didn’t introduce himself. He just ask if we were ready to order then proceeded to give us a few minutes to let us get organize and figure out what to order. Once I came back, I asked him for a few recommendations regarding what he thought was best on the menu. He was just able to tell me that one was a popular dish. I ended up with the Fried Calamari, Rigatoni alla Vodka. My friend ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara along with Toasted Garlic Loaf. The appetizers arrived hot to the table and tasted amazing. We have given amble time to enjoy our appetizer before receiving our entrees. Both pasta dishes was amazing. The Rigatoni alla Vodka with the guancaile bacon was amazing. Definitely a reason to come back. The ambiance was amazing. It was not to quite, I was able to enjoy a conversation with my friend. Definitely worth the cost. I will be back with my husband so he can experience this food
This is consistently my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood and has been for many many years!
Our waitress was wonderful and made great suggestions!
Perfect experience from being greeted at the door to the last bite of dessert!!
Will be back soon.
A delicious stop near Lincoln Center. We love their food and service!
Excellent food with so many options we’ll have to come back again, great personable service from the staff, and a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for a fun night out! Highly recommend and will be returning!
Terrific choice, always enjoy our meals, the bar. Wonderful staff, expert service excellent choices.
Michael is the BEST MANAGER - He's completely hands on !
Enjoyable, as always. Large portions. Looking forward to enjoying my leftovers tomorrow.
Mid-pandemic it is still comforting to see how much attention and support we get as diners at Cafe Fiorello. Our experience was wonderful, and it made me remember how great this restaurant is - especially if you choose to come AFTER the theater crowd has left for their performances. During the pandemic, the restaurant is properly quieter and calmer - and that's certainly not good for business - but you'd never know it from the care and courtesy of the welcoming staff. I only wish I lived closer and could dine here more often. One gustatory note; all the food here is authentic and extraordinary.
Enjoyed dinner before the opera. My boyfriend and I shared the calamari and short ribs meatballs for appetizers. The meatballs were absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The calamari was good. Then we shared the grilled veal chop for entree. Also, highly recommend. The meat was tender, cooked perfectly and the dish came with sauteed assortment of mushrooms and potatoes. We completed our dinner with the chocolate mousse and espresso. Our waitress was attentive and service was good. I also enjoyed a glass of pinot grigio with dinner and my boyfriend has an old fashioned.
I love the place. Good is delicious and service is amazing.
Thank you for an all around delicious meal! Don’t miss the artichokes!
Cold night; ate outside; good setup, but needs better heat lamps!
This is a perfect place to go with friends
Cafe Fiorello really brightened a dreary, rainy day. Appetizers, entrees and desserts all hit the mark. Service excellent, too. Wonderful dining experience.
$5.50 for a soda that is pure ice and then it isn’t refilled for free is a complete ripoff and I will not be returning. I know the cost of soda from a gun and that was a complete joke.
If anybody asks how my experience was I cannot recommend to go that purely for that fact. It was insulting quite frankly
Very nice experience except for a few things. The first thing that surprized us was the size of the portions. The second was the pricing.
Small portions and high prices....not too inviting! There are better choices in the area.
I love this restaurant the food is great and the service is great as well.
Exceljent service ad usual. Large tasty portions. Accommodating to our schedule for Lincoln Center.
Wijkcentrum be nice to see some seasonal changes on menus which hadn’t changed in YEARS
I remember having the Lasagna 9 years ago. If anything it was better than I remembered.
We chose to eat outside on a bitterly cold night. The Cafe did everything to make it comfortable but of course the ambience wasn't as warm as it would've been inside.
We'll be back.
Always excellent food and service...ceiling tiles a bit dingy, hallway to restrooms very narrow
Great place for lunch! Tables and booths a bit small.
Great food. Professional and friendly staff. Beautiful place
The bruschetta was great as was the veal chop and the pasta. A bit pricey but a real gem near the Opera House
100% recommend this restaurant, whether going to the Met Opera or in the area in general. The ravioli with the burrata cheese was amazing, and so was the rigatoni with the vodka sauce. Everything you could want from a NYC Italian restaurant is this place. The garlic bread is also to die for. Amazing meal overall!
Their unique Fiorello family recipe of Lasagna was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The waiter informed us that it would easily serve two people because of the generous portion. He was correct as two of us enjoyed the flavorful lasagna and two meatballs that were included on the plate. It is the best lasagna I have ever tasted and I strongly recommend the unique presentation of a classic Italian dish.
Food was excellent with a unique and varied antipasto bar. Service great and prices reasonable.
Service and food were excellent. Our Waiter (Diego??) was very helpful and friendly. Love going to Cafe Fiorella for dinner before we go to Lincoln Center or the Met.
