The food was delicious and the waiters were attentive and friendly.
The food was not good and the servers didn’t understand our order correctly. Overprice and underwhelming. Won’t go back.
This restaurant is an absolute MUST every time we go to NYC for lunch! There are so many delicious options, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is nice too. The waitstaff accommodate every need and have little surprises of breads, cookies, and chocolate that is complimentary and delicious. If you want to eat healthy the anti pasta bar is amazing! So many vegetables! I'm not a vegan but it would be ideal if you were! The pizza, burger, risotto, and even the chicken soup and chicken salad sandwich are some of the best I've ever had!
I came here for my birthday and absolutely loved it! I had been here over the summer and it was a dream to sit outside, but the indoor portion of the restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Order the cacio e Pepe pizza and Rigatoni a la Vodka! The waiter was also extremely nice and accommodating.
Great place for really nice dinner. Efore the opera
Cafe Fiorello is directly across the street from Lincoln Center which makes it extremely convenient for a pre concert dinner. The food is good (nothing really outstanding) and the service is excellent. Noise level is at least moderate enough that one can carry on a conversation.
My favorite... I've been going to CF since the 70s... I recommend CF to everyone...
There’s something for everyone whether you are enjoying brunch, lunch, dinner or a bite in between. The hot and cold antipasto selection is a terrific option as are any of the pizzas. Across the street from Lincoln Center, the restaurant is a good option.
Taking Chris back to the city we tried Cafe Fiorello.
It was a bustling Saturday night. We had made reservations and surely glad we did.
It was very crowded but got taken immediately. We received a nice table looking out in the corner. For starters we had the clams oreganata which were fair at best and also cold. The caesar salad was good but too much dressing. Other two salads were good.
For dinner the veal parmigiana was very good and they use a creamy burrata cheese. the servings are gigantic. Chris had the chicken milanese also excellent.
The hit of the night was the chicken piccata, it was superb.
Its a must to have. Service was good.
Our waiter was amazing!!! His serving was impeccably timed and he never rushed us!! Great, fresh food!
We would go again!
I was very disappointed in our experience. The service wasa very good but we were seated at a table where I kept getting a blast of freezing air every time the door opened. The tables are shoved in and one can hardly move. There was nowhere to put my handbag as the floor was dirty so it sat on my lap throughout the meal. The noise was deafening making the time spent there very unpleasant. We both ordered avocado toast with poached eggs and it was awful. The toast was charred around the edges, the avocado had an unpleasant taste and the eggs weren't cooked properly with raw whites. Yech! Won't be goig back. Very expensive and so not worth it
Always a great people watching spot with good food and efficient service
Can’t wait to go back!
Loved the cozy old school ambience and we were excited to be seated at “Sam Champion’s table”. The eggplant from the antipasto was out of this world, and the chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce lived up to the hype. We enjoyed every bite.
Food was excellent, as usual. Thanksgiving evening made for a crowded, noisy venue.
We made reservations (thru Open Table), and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our waiter was funny, engaging and proficient. We had the Thanksgiving meal, and the taste and appearance were outstanding.
My only negative was that we sat at a table in the middle of the room, and the crowding and noise was a little distracting. Perhaps a booth, around the perimeter of the room, would have better.
We will return, as the food quality, service and value were great!
Only go there for the pizza or pasta. The meat is shockingly low quality and quantity.
The first thing that comes to mind about this restaurant is the noise level which was way to high. I had a hard time hearing the folks at my table. The drinks, although tasty, had very little alcohol in them ($15+ for mostly juices and ice). The food portions weren't small but weren't large either (except for the desserts which were very large). The service was good, we never had to wait to have our water glasses filled or bread at our table.
My memories are of much better food quality. Nothing was bad, but the same iconic dishes we always order were rather average and tired...
A long time favorite for dinner before the Opera. Always an enjoyable time.
Great food and good service.
Still good after 45 years
Best for pre-Lincoln Center performance. Only drawback is noise level.
Drinks r rediculously expensive
We frequently have brunch at Fiorello but this will be our last time. I booked the reservation on Open Table and gave my name to the hostess and told her that I had a reservation. She just wanted to seat us quickly and didn’t check off the reservation. I later got an email from Open Table saying they were sorry we didn’t keep our reservation. I then had to contact them saying we were there! My dish was not delivered hot so I sent it back. Another dish was delivered to me saying it just came out of the oven but it also was not hot. The first pot of coffee was tepid but the second pot was better. The place is packed, the service was harried and, all in all, this was an awful dining experience. We will definitely try another restaurant next time.
Festive atmosphere, great food, fried artichokes, linguine with Pesto, just superb.
Loved it...just odd waiter.
Cafe Fiorello is the perfect place for pretheatre dining. The food is consistently good, and the wait staff make every effort to “get you to the show on time.” We’ve been to Cafe Fiorello many times and have never been disappointed.
reservations always easy. we go to this restaurant often and it is nice to be recognized.. Nice to know they take care of their regulars.
We went for late supper. Vegetables appetizer platter and thin crust pizza was perfect post opera light meal. Service was very good too.
The salmon pizza and the meatball pizza are gone per our server, but the salmon pizza was still on the menu. They were the best pizzas on the menu. Very disappointing.
Fiorello is always reliable food wise...just a little frantic pre lincoln center showtime....our waiter Hunter was very patient, attentive, charming - we love table 84 as it is off the mobbed quarters ....we will return.
We always request a quiet table in the back so we are not rushed and can enjoy our meal, which we do on a regular basis.
We entered and were seated pretty soon. Our table, in a corner was small. I ordered the threevegetables.
Caponata was tasty, vegetable tart was fair, and sausage and peppers was okay. There were errors, though - I received two sausages, no caponata - needed correcting. Extra plates (unused, just decorative) were just left on the table; my coffee arrived late, and a stirring spoon was brought even later. It was also quite noisy on a Sunday afternoon, but it is close to Lincoln Center, our destination.
It was very crowded, so although I liked the atmosphere, I felt as if I were in a cage...too many tables on top of one another...the food I had was good, but I left hungry, and it was on the expensive side.
The food is always good. The tables are very tightly packed together and the noise level is extremely loud
Had brunch on Sunday before a matinee at the Met. Good size brunch menu, which was nice. Given the rave reviews on OpenTable, I expected the food to be better. My friend and I both ordered avocado toast with poached eggs, with a side of smoked salmon. Both of our meals arrived with the eggs very much overdone. To their credit, the staff was wonderful, and replaced the food right away. The service was excellent. Overall, the eggs were OK, but not great. The smashed avocado had a lot of lemon juice in it, presumably to keep it fresh as they were serving a number of customers. The toast was very hard, and we actually had difficulty cutting it with a knife. The restaurant was very clean, with nice decor. Tables very small and close together, to accommodate as many patrons as possible. The noise level was very loud.
We were late getting to Cafe Fiorello however the host graciously accommodated our reservation
The service was exceptionally professional and quick and our food was delicious
The tiramisu was a perfect ending
Anti pasta was too small for a selection of 5 items.
Pasta with white clam sauce was overloaded with garlic and ruined the dinner for the birthday girl.
Service was okay, nothing special.
