Great Italian restaurant, delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. A good place to go before or after a show at Lincoln Center. A favorite!
Have been here many times, but this visit was special, based on the food we ordered.
First off, their meatballs are made from Beef, no pork, so that's a good start for some...like my wife.
They have added a lasagna dish that is the best I have had anywhere in the world. Made with one big noodle, the size of a small pizza and filled with short rib meat and short rib meatballs and of course cheese. Absolutely out of this world.
For a starter we had their baked clams which were fabulous.
Ending the meal with Profiteroles...what could be better.
Great dining, service, ambiance and food taste.
We shared the lasagna which was quite good, but the salad at $14 was overpriced for the quality. The drinks were also overpriced. This restaurant is average but not really worth it.
We had an excellent business lunch at the rear of the restaurant, where it was quiet, secluded, yet service was impeccable. Basically an excellent experience all around.
GREAT! We were looking for a place to eat before going to see my nephew play at The Julliard School. We decided on CF and was worried about a few reviews in Yelp. However, we were quite surprised with the service and hospitality we received from the entire staff. I thought I lost my phone and they went beyond to try to find my phone. I am definitely going back the staff was very diverse and you get an international feel of fully accepted. My wife love the cosmo. The star was our server - Mr Lenden. Thank you for a nice time.
Great pre-Lincoln Center event, much better than the event itself (yeesh!), We informed the maitre d that we needed to be out by a certain time and he informed the waiter, who was great. Delicious food and great service. We were in the back, so it wasn't as noisy as in the front. A winner!
Great pre-theater light dinner...but love to go after the theater goers have left, enjoying a less hectic atmosphere where you can enjoy dining. The food is always wonderful! And the pail of mousse and whipped cream is delicious and fun!
Both the meal and the service were excellent. I was there for a business lunch. The noise level increased toward the end of our meal, but nothing crazy.
Having been there before, I was really looking forward to this dining experience again but was disappointed with the lasagna being over cooked and the seating that we were given, tucked in a corner having to ask the tables around us to move when we needed to get up and go to the bathroom or leave at the end of our meal.
I will plan to visit again, and hope that the experience will return to my original visit.
Very good restaurant for pre dinner show for Lincoln Center. Food and Service was exceptional. Varied menu for varied tastes. Second time for dinner. Served quickly. Team concerned about diners who have tickets for show.
I have been going to Cafe Fiorello for years. We go before or after the ballet. It is so convenient and the food used to be very good. The last few times we have gone the food has been uneven. Last night was the worst and it is unlikely we will go again. I had been fasting all day so that I could eat the lasagna. I love their take on lasagna, open faced, meatballs, crispy noodles unique and delicious. It was awful this time. I think I was eating raw sausage meat. I ate a small portion and stopped I did not want to get sick. My wife told the waiter when he came to pick it up. My wife had a bolognese that was burned. My espresso was cold and my wife's coffee was luke warm. I am giving it 2 stars overall instead of 1 because we enjoyed it in the past and our appetizers were good, and the deserts were good too. It is very expensive and the waiter did not even try to make good on the lasagna. Sad that we will stop going, hopefully they will figure things out.
Late last minute Wednesday lunch. Fiorello’s always is reliable for good food in a pleasant setting. If requested, service can be prompt and fast paced. Enjoyed a salmon burger, crabmeat and avocado salad, huge portion of chocolate mousse, glass of Barolo. Fine lunch with friends.
Best lasagna ever! Service is wonderful.
Great restaurant for a big family or a casual italian dining experience. kind of loud (it's a big space). food was good but not a great place for an intimate dinner if that's what you're looking for.
best lasagna ever!
our server was beyond patient!
We had tickets to the ballet and ate here first. Haven’t been in years. It was just as wonderful as i remembered. Great food and great staff.
Awesome evening. Not completely all 5 cuz lots of couple seating on booth tables and we were offered small table and fried artichoke portón small for price but very good. Had the cauliflower Milanese, zucchini Parmesan and eggplant rollatini and they were awesome. Great service from Nick. Our chicken and veal pepperoni Parmesan to die for. Best limoncello pie.
Fiorello is Fantastic !!
So happy to find the tables and the whole room, decorated in full Valentine Day decor, with red balloons and even a big, chocolate heart, at our table! 🎈🎈Lyndyn was our superb waiter and when I asked for the Lasagna, he cautioned me, that although it was fabulous, it was not in the traditional, layered, dish form! FLAT he said but it looked more like a pizza, to me, so he was so kind to take it back and I settled on another entree, instead! Sorry, guys, my name ends in a vowel so I was quite disappointed with that!
Wonderful place for breakfast. Plentiful coffee, great service, wide selection, good food.
Convenient to Lincoln Center and good for a pre-show meal. It's a bit over-priced, especially the wines by the glass. This is out-weighed by the convenience of the location. The vegetarian anti-pasto spread is a good choice. There was very good tiramisu for dessert.
Seared tuna was heavenly
The service was excellent and very accommodating for those with dietary restrictions. I had the roasted chicken with spinach which was quite delicious. I have eaten at Fiorello several times and it has been consistently good.
The food was outstanding. So was the service. A beautiful ambiance. Price reasonable for overall quality and experience. Very convenient to Lincoln Center. Highly recommended.
Matteo, the current chef, has lifted Cafe Fiorello out of the doldrums. He seems to know how to wow the palate and satisfy an appetite. Extraordinary.
Italian wedding soup was delicious and comforting. The calamari and shrimp over arugula offering was stunning. Portions were just right.
Although the antipasto dishes bear familiar names, they have been "resuscitated". Now glistening, fresh-appearing offerings have mouthwatering-want-some-more flavors and textures. Gone are the limp, the lifeless, the soggy offerings of old.
Service remains leisurely.
We had the worlds worst waiter and that he was attentive to other tables using our carafe of water, our salt and pepper, etc.
Worse, after we ordered, the food arrived in under 30 seconds. How were we supposed to enjoy our wine? Was the food cooked five hours prior just waiting for people to order it?
I've been coming here for 20+ years. The service was lackluster, slow and just ok. They forgot som of our items, bought over red wine when we ordered a pinot grig and were rushing us out of the table. Not their best moment.
Usually one of our regular go-to places at Lincoln Center, but two days ago it was a real turn-off. Deafening noise (amplified by their tin ceiling), rushed and inattentive service (repeated requests for everything from oil at the beginning to dessert menus at the end), sloppy practices (a dropped knife picked up from the floor and replaced on the shelf). The Judean-style fried Roman artichokes are still a winner and the tartufo dessert was a delight, but the clams oreganato were small and stuck to their shells. In consideration of better past experiences, we might give it another chance—maybe.
It is too costly with the level of service/food offered.
Just a terrific overall exorrience
You don't need to go to Little Italy to get fantastic Italian food in Manhattan.
Go to Cafe Fiorello's in Lincoln Center.
Food and service was fantastic.
Wonderful service, quality italian dining
The service was great, must try the fried calamari and the lobster fettuccine.
Next time I go, I’m trying the pizza, it look great
As always, food and atmosphere were great. It’s our go to place after our Lincoln Center evenings.
Make sure to ask about the specials for the evening. We jumped right to the menu so didn’t hear them till other diners sat down and they sounded great. But our Lamb Pappardelle and Tordelle Bolognese were fabulous!
We come here about once a month for the past 12 years or so. The service and the food are generally good to very good. This time we had the wedding soup for our appetizer and the salmon for the main course. The wedding soup was good, but they put the toasted bread in the middle of the soup so it was soggy by the time we got it. The salmon was okay, but nothing special. We waited patiently for the bread service, but none materialized by the time the appetizer arrived. We had to ask for the foccacia bread as none was brought to us. My husband's cocktail didn't have a straw and when we asked for one, we were given soda straws. That's fine if you're aiming to be blitzed instantly, however, our intention is to savor the drink. I got up and went to the bar to get cocktail straws myself. The chocolate mousse was good. The ladies' wash room was better than last time, but could still have used a refresh. We were there on a Thursday at 5 PM so the place was not crazy busy nor had it been through the dinner rush for the wash room to have been blitzed. Yes, we will go back, but it would be nice to have the staff employ a little more attention to detail.
A wonderful restaurant!
It is my favorite restaurant when going to Lincoln Center!
