We entered and were seated pretty soon. Our table, in a corner was small. I ordered the threevegetables.
Caponata was tasty, vegetable tart was fair, and sausage and peppers was okay. There were errors, though - I received two sausages, no caponata - needed correcting. Extra plates (unused, just decorative) were just left on the table; my coffee arrived late, and a stirring spoon was brought even later. It was also quite noisy on a Sunday afternoon, but it is close to Lincoln Center, our destination.
It was very crowded, so although I liked the atmosphere, I felt as if I were in a cage...too many tables on top of one another...the food I had was good, but I left hungry, and it was on the expensive side.
The food is always good. The tables are very tightly packed together and the noise level is extremely loud
Had brunch on Sunday before a matinee at the Met. Good size brunch menu, which was nice. Given the rave reviews on OpenTable, I expected the food to be better. My friend and I both ordered avocado toast with poached eggs, with a side of smoked salmon. Both of our meals arrived with the eggs very much overdone. To their credit, the staff was wonderful, and replaced the food right away. The service was excellent. Overall, the eggs were OK, but not great. The smashed avocado had a lot of lemon juice in it, presumably to keep it fresh as they were serving a number of customers. The toast was very hard, and we actually had difficulty cutting it with a knife. The restaurant was very clean, with nice decor. Tables very small and close together, to accommodate as many patrons as possible. The noise level was very loud.
We were late getting to Cafe Fiorello however the host graciously accommodated our reservation
The service was exceptionally professional and quick and our food was delicious
The tiramisu was a perfect ending
Anti pasta was too small for a selection of 5 items.
Pasta with white clam sauce was overloaded with garlic and ruined the dinner for the birthday girl.
Service was okay, nothing special.
I live near Cafe Fiorello and try avoid the crowds who dine before going to Lincoln Center events. However, this time I had no choice. Despite the crowds, the food was very good and the service excellent. One caveat: for a main course, I had the spaghetti with short rib meatballs. They only give you two meatballs. At that price, I think they could have given three!
We had our reservation and arrived on time but were told to accept a rather noisy location or wait..even though several booths were available. These booths were "reserved" for other patrons. We insisted that we be seated at one of the booths and we were. Dinner service by wait staff was very professional and food delicious but we were very unhappy with our earlier rude reception.
Come for the carcioffi stay for the chocolate mousse.
Enjoyable meal in a happening place. Cafe Fiorello is very convenient for anyone attending a performance at the Lincoln Centre.
Love the poached eggs on avocado toast!
I have had brunch here several times. Friendly staff, good food, generous portions, and
reasonable prices. If you like bustling, energetic surroundings, this is the place for you.
Poached eggs on avocado toast was very tasty. Tiramasu dessert was divine. Will return there. Bravo!
We like Fiorello’s at all times of day. A reliable happy go to place for our family for good food and service.
Wish they would clean the brass name plaques in the booths more often. The plaque for the owner’s family is particularly dirty. The rest of the restaurant is clean and appealing.
Food, pizza and pasta, were fair but nothing more - certainly not worth coming back for. Our waiter never came back once to check on our meals or to get us new drinks - that is unacceptable. We also had to flag someone down to get our bill after we had been finished for 15 minutes. A lot of good reviews for this place - not sure why.
Delicious food and excellent service. Best fettuccine with pesto I’ve had anywhere. The chicken Milanese was huge and tasty. The vegetables from the bar were a great appetizer and the cannolis topped off the meal perfectly. Can’t go wrong here.
Was there for my birthday with family and everyone loved the food, the wait staff (who sand Happy Birthday in chorus!) and the general ambience.
Cafe Fiorello has been a fav for many years, and continues to delight and please!
consistent, always good convient to Lincoln Center
Always perfect for a preshow dinner where the service is just right and the food is always delicious and quiet enough you can have a conversation.
First time there. My chicken dish was excellent, my husband had the pasta dish with meat which he totally enjoyed. I can’t wait to go back. We went before the Met Opera and it was practically across the street. So convenient and the food was delicious
Great find near Lincoln Center. Very cozy, nice wine by the glass and good service.
Cafe Fiorello has many choices and always good food. They have small dishes with many veggie and seafood choices. Great pizza options with so thin crust. Pasta is great choice, extensive sea food choices, from steel head salmon to dover sole. Salads and steaks. Perfect place if you are in Lincoln Center area before or after performance. Simply you cannot go wrong with Cafe Fiorello.
The portions are very large. They can all be shared by at least 2 people.
I always like the food there, but brunch was a serious disappointment. Our omelettes were dry and bland. I really should have sent it back, but I was too hungry. It's hard to believe that Fiorello's would serve such Denny's-like meals. Management should really speak to the brunch chefs. Our waiter was a champ, really nice, catering to our every need with enthusiasm. The maitre-d's were, as always, quite welcoming, gracious, and cheerful.
We felt rushed, totally out of place for a Lincoln Center restaurant.
Fantastic pre- or after- show stop for dinner and drinks. Efficient, lively and excellent cuisine!
This is the perfect place to dine before going to any event at Lincoln Center. The food is wonderful, the service is terrific, and it's right across the street! I love this place.
Festive atmosphere for reliably well prepared brunch and Italian staples. Great pre-theater service. Antipasto bar and pizzas are always good choices. A bit pricey like everything near Lincoln Center but always fun.
MY OPENTABLE RESERVATION GOT ME SEATS CLOSEST TO THE TOILET
Food was good.
Service was satisfactory.
In my experience, seats closest to toilet should be last used and reserved for parties without reservations not parties with reservations.
Although they attempted to apologize after I complained, I asked why was a party with a reservation even placed at a table next to the toilets?
Always a great choice for the Lincoln Center area. Consistently good with nice extras like a bowl of chocolate at the door and fresh baked cookies passed around during dinner. The half dover sole serving with asparagus is perfect as a main course and we never miss the chocolate mousse with whip cream for dessert.
Fast and furious and the most efficient performance of any restaurant staff possible. A woman brushed two glasses off the table while donning her coat. A pit crew wept in and the glass was swept up before she said, I'm so sorry! A table for 5 was needed, the manager was placing set-ups and 4 men jumped to action to grab extra chairs and glasses without having to ask. I have food issues, ordering out is always a pain, a discussion, a negotiation. OMG! I ordered, it came perfectly, I enjoyed, and I was shocked! It is a pre-theater bustle for sure, and the noise is loud, but you can still talk comfortably and you simply can't beat the service and the fact that they serve a huge variety of vegetables from the antipasta bar.
They did not have the open table reservation when we arrived, although they were able to seat us. There is a link problem in their receipt of open table reservations
Great menu selection, food was tasty and the service was great!!!
We will be back!
Food very mediocre some people could not even eat their dish.
The food and service is good but the crowded seating arrangement makes it uncomfortable.
We have been coming to this restaurant for years and it’s been declining steadily. The table are so close together - it must be a fire code violation. An older gentleman with a walker had a very difficult time figuring out and hen navigating his way out. We ordered a pizza for the table. It covered a large plate. They used to be a large square sized portion. I ordered a three vegetable plate. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked and the portions were smaller than they used to be. Due to the high volume of customers, the service was not great. What happened to the restaurant we used to love? Will not go back soon.
We had a delicious brunch. The antipasto is always excellent. The noise level is loud which makes it hard to hear.
Missing the good old days at Café Fiorello when food was outstanding, especially the vegetable choices. Food is a pale shadow of those good days
