We love this restaurant. We almost always come here before or after attending a performance at Lincoln Center. Great food, fun place.
I have gone here for years, off and on. The food was always good, but this time it was not - at least for me. My order was messed up by the kitchen, and I understand things happen. Then the correct order comes, and looks nothing like the dish I had ordered, nothing like this classic, Chicken Piccata looks in any of a zillion Italian restaurants, from high to low. The server graciously took that away. Then the Fettucine Bolognese was served and is was desultory, at best.
Cafe Fiorello was once great, but it seems there are hiccups in their kitchen...
Después de los que tomé en al Vaticano, los mejores spagetti carbonara que he probado
Pre-theater appropriate. Food was fresh and delicious and service was very good.
New York institution for a reason - amazing food and the most attentive, smart and kind staff. The only pre-theatre dinner spot for me!
Haven’t been for a while. . . very glad to reconnect. Always
Caesar salad best I ever had—- pizza was perfecto
We always include Cafe' Fiorello in our spring ballet trips. The service is very good. Two in our party have ambulatory issues. They help us and are very considerate. I love the seafood. The pasta Bolognese is a favorite as is the organic chicken. The lasagna is made horizonally and not vertically which does not appeal to me, but others seem to like it. We like going to Fiorello.
Second visit in 2 weeks! Just love Fiorello! Good food, good, friendly service. It's always bustling but you never feel rushed or overlooked.
Good food and service!
Nice environment for eat and have a conversation.
It’s a really good restaurant
Pre ballet lunch was excellent. Had a Bellini and the vegetarian lunch—asparagus, eggplant rollatini and shrimp & beans. There were many more vegetarian choices
Very good service and food. Perfect spot for dinner before theater or concerts at Lincoln Center. If not attending theater, make your reservation for after 7:30. Dover Sole was done perfectly as was the Salmon. No complaints.
Very stingy portions of wine for $$$. Thimble-sized. Bring a flask:)
The food and the service were superb--perfectly prepared and served with theutmost of care and friendliness. Could not be better!
Café Fiorello can always be counted on for a great New York vibe and excellent Italian fare near
Lincoln Center. We always enjoy the extensive antipasti bar, selecting zucchini parm, shrimp with Spanish
beans, roasted cauliflower, from among the many delicious offerings. Our friends enjoyed the terrific
pizza with razor thin crust as well as the chicken milanese. All in all, an excellent meal, but the wine took
forever to arrive. Once it did, however, the Maitre d', Sayied, gave an apology and sent us two desserts on the house at the end of our meal: the tiramisu and the New York cheesecake with strawberries. Now this is a class act, taking care of its dedicated customers like this. Many thanks.
Everything was wonderful. Since we were going to the ballet timing was important. Our waiter was spot on and got us put without rushing us or our food. He was always right there to pour the white wine. The truffle pizza was exquisite. We chose not to order dessert, just coffee and he brought us a plate of the complimentary chocolates which we loved.
Excellent food. Service prompt and professional. Love the pizza here
Great place, great food. Ideal for lunch and dinner. I only wished it was closer to where I live
Awesome place !
Amazing Burnello went so well with the Paperdelle
Location is perfect -across the street from the Lincoln center
Would like to go back soon and often
The service was great and the food was good.
Food is absolutely delicious. Server was extremely knowledgeable about all of the restaurants offerings.
Only negative, it's very loud and conversation is difficult.
Recommend to all.
Great atention and the food excelent and the location is very advisable!!
Always, spot on !
As usual, Cafe Fiorello was wonderful. We had the grilled seafood platter for two and a great Sancere wine that was superb with our meal. The service was professional and attentive. They knew that we had requested a specific booth in the back and they were able to save it for us - - even though we were a little late for our reservation. Kudos for everything.
Plesant staf, good ambiance and of course good food.
One thing I hate is the begging of gratitute. Almost every restaurant is asking for it and gives you even advice about the heigt of it. Stop with that.
Have been a long time frequent patron and never had a bad meal or less than great service. Fiorello’s is the perfect follow up to a great performance at Lincoln Center. Always at the top of my list of recommendations to family and friends!
I don’t even live in Manhattan, so “frequent” for me is likely far short of their sense of frequent regulars, but they always acknowledge me and roll out a friendly welcome!
Beautiful to sit outside before the ballet
Always a favorite. Thought the octopus antipasto was all potato, not enough octopus for the high price. Our excellent waiter Zoltan, immediately changed it and did much more.
We had dinner here on Mother’s Day and everything was excellent, so we decided to go back. It was as if we had gone to a different restaurant. The service was the worst part and made the whole experience so bad that I will surely rethink returning and warn everyone I know. The waiter, Fabrice, had a condescending attitude from the moment we sat down. He reluctantly answered questions, as if we should have known the answers already. One of us went to order something off the menu, only to be told that they had increased the price of it by more than double (I was always told that you honor an advertised price - if the price changed, they needed to change it on the menus). It took them 1 hour, and me calling the manager over, between when we finished our appetizer and we got our entrees. After dinner we sat waiting for anyone to come over to our table to ask if we were finished, wanted dessert, wanted a check, wanted anything...for more than half an hour. Again it took me calling over a manager. This time it was a different manager and he just said “sure, I can get you a check”. He was not apologetic at all for our experience. I wanted to tell him to keep the check and just get up and leave, I was so furious (not that I would ever do that). But you would have thought he would have shown some compassion and tried to turn it into a better experience. There are so many great restaurants in New York, this is definitely not one of them!
service was a little slow. food came out all at once so we sent the main course back (high omelets) so that we could have our appetisers (soup) first. then there was a bit of a stretch before we could get the main course again, and by that time it was a tad overdone.
Our server was wonderful. He was extremely attentive and made our dining experience very pleasant .
Food and service were exellent, only complaint is the in the small room to the left tables are too small and on top of one another couldn't used a little more elbow room.
Helpful and attentive wait staff
Quality Italian cuisine. Great place to go before or after a performance at Lincoln Center. Our server was conscience of our time restraint and served us quickly. Would definitely go again!
i usually have the antipasto for lunch. I
wasn’t crazy about mushrooms this time. love the eggplant cauliflower broccolini tho
The food was not up to standard. Had to get up several times and get wait staff. Used to frequent this restaurant and it was not up to its own standard
Horrible service. Cold bread, and olive oil is provided only on request and taken away without checking. The server couldn't give one recommendation. And the food was below average.
The antipasto bar is fabulous! And the pizza...the thinnest, crispest crust.
Service was efficient and pleasant. Food was delicious as always. Bucket of mousse, a celebratory ending!
