Me and my wife went for valentines dinner. From the moment we walked in the place was stunning and had a very cozy feel. Setting could be better as I was sitting a very comfortable wooden chair while my wife had a booth style seat. Our waiter was attentive when he needed to be and was never overbearing. The food was outstanding and would recommend this for a good date night. My wife loved the place and thought it was perfect. We will definitely revisit in the future.
Delicious fresh linguine, excellent service as usual. My friend was disappointed with her meal, however, reporting that her calamari was not crisp and tasted soggy. We both love the ambiance however.
Great food and excellent service
First time there .....definitely won’t be the last !
Love the antipasta, and the seafood risotto was really rich and flavorful.
Always a good meal. Still do not understand how a cup of tea is the same price as a cappuccino ($5.50).
Been going here for many years. Not as much as we would like to recently. Still great. Service was excellent. Food still very tasty and served hot. Great variety. Do miss some of the older items the do not offer anymore.
My mom and I visited Café Fiorello on Sunday after we saw a concert at the Met. We had a reservation for 8p, but we’re seated shortly after we arrived around 7:45. The restaurant is a little bit cramped and noisy, but the service and food made up for that ten fold. Our waiter, Pavel, was very attentive and friendly. He came around often to make sure we had everything we needed. He was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious... probably the best Italian food I’ve had in a while. I don’t really get to the city that often, but I would definitely visit Café Fiorello again.
We have dined at Fiorello's many times and, aside from being crowded and noisy, have had satisfactory experiences. Not this time. I always order chicken here and, early in the evening, they "ran out of chicken!!???" I was "forced" to order their lasagna which turned out to be an overcooked pizza with a very thin layer of pasta (I always avoid pizza). In addition, the fried artichokes appetizer was extremely salty. Very disappointing (and expensive)!
We celebrated a 50th anniversary in a special booth in the back. Quiet and wonderful.
I've been going to Fiorello's for many years. On the last visit, I noticed a change in the food & the service. Gone are the numerous choices of antipasti as well. It appears they are cutting corners.
Good start: reservation was honored immediately. Restaurant is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Waiter hit the mark with his selection of 5 antipasto items for our table. Linguine carbonara and the "open-face lasagna" were both excellent. Only negatives were a lack of more lunch options on the menu and the noise level. Neither would keep us from coming here again, however. Overall, it was great.
Dining before the Met made the day special. Thank you.😃
Really enjoyed this visit with my daughter before the ballet. She had the eggs benedict Florentine, I had the salmon with quinoa salad. The dishes were tasty and service was good- we didn't feel rushed and had time to talk without being disturbed. The noise volume was manageable, unlike other area restaurants where I feel like I'm screaming at my companion.
Only complaint is that my cappuccino came looking like a sad café au lait - no foam or froth. I didn't have time to send it back - we were heading out to a performance and didn't want to rush, so I drank it as is. Would have liked a little foam...
Good place I’ve dined here over the years and it is constant c
We had a fabulous brunch there! We arrived just before the buffet was ready to be served. The menu had some really good options and one member of our party was able to get an enviable vegan option as well.
Great restaurant! Very expensive for what you get !
We felt the meal was a bit rushed and the special lacked overall value.
2nd visit and lucky to have same server Xenos. He made are dinner a great one. I had the caprese salad and Jim had the fried artichoke to follow by veal and chicken pepperoni Parmesan both delicious. We share a piece of the lemon pie with a glass of limoncello courtesy of Xenos
Before the opera - great food, excellent service!
We were seated in the back at the first table for 2 on the left so my view was into service and each waiter's trip was an exercise in not losing anything off the table. But it was quiet enough for conversation.
My order of linguini with clams should have been sent back. The pasta was dried out (heatlamp?) and stuck together in one baseball-sized clump. At the margins, I could pull off some strands but the main serving was a single, solid mass without any sauce, oil, or way to eat it. The thin sauce in the bottom of the bowl lacked any richness and the clams were restricted to their shells.
The server did a fine job but was failed by the kitchen.
No, no coffee or desset. Check please.
The food, wine and service were, as usual, the very best. We have been here many times and have never been disappointed.
Always a great place to gather friends for good food on the upper west side.
Even with a reservation, we had to wait in line to get a table. The table given was not comfortable. The entire staff was wonderful, courteous, considerate, but the place was too crowded. Food was exquisite.
This was my go to restaurant for Lincoln Center. On this particular evening, food was cold, repeatedly sent back to warm, coffee was cold, manager annoyed. Meal was finally removed from bill. Very disappointing
We booked a table for a post -ballet dinner. The restaurant is right opposite the Lincoln Centre so we were pleased with our choice on a very rainy night. However, the welcome here was non existent. No smiles, we were just led to our table. The restaurant is nicely lit and the environment is really relaxing with soft lights and attractive decor. But nobody smiles here. The young waiter who was assigned to us was polite but unsmiling. Bread was placed on the table without a word by another waiter- not a word to us or a smile. We chose artichokes to start and both of us chose the chicken club ( available only after 9pm according to the menu). The young waiter told us this came with salad or fries. We chose one of each and a glass of wine.
We then proceeded to chatter about the ballet and how wonderful it had been and were interrupted by the waiter returning to very politely inform us that the club sandwiches were no longer offered at this restaurant and it should have been taken off. The poor youngster was clearly embarrassed and gave us the menus to choose again with the recommendation that we could try one of the chicken dishes which was served with artichokes. He kindly suggested we could share this as the portions were large. However, By this time the fried artichokes starter was on the table and so we declined his suggestion of more artichokes and chose a pizza to share. Food was ok, but what we wanted was to talk about our lovely evening at the ballet with a glass of wine and a light supper. The pizza was delivered by another unsmiler, and we then noticed a man in a suit had gathered a couple of waiters round him in the middle of the very quiet restaurant and appeared to be having a staff meeting with them. Everybody looked very serious. It was all very strange and we ended up just wanting to pay and get out. Did we just get unlucky with the B team on the evening we were there? Don’t know. Would we recommend it. Definitely not.
Very good place to go, especially before a performance st Lincoln Center. Always plenty of choices for everyone.
Great food and service great spot to enjoy before going to Lincoln Center
Great place for an early dinner....as we had. Great place for women too. You don't feel out of sorts as your wait staff is excellent.
Veggies outstanding - could become a vegetarian with this menu. Don't miss the bucket of chocolate mousse - so perfect for 4 to share.
I've been several times at this restaurant. This time I was a little disappointed with the service and the food quality
The wait staff was helpful with special requests (we had an allergy at our table), we didn't feel rushed at all, and they even brought us an extra dessert on the house.
Very welcoming staff and service. Food is good but not memorable. Noise level is a challenge. Location ideal for Lincoln Center
Obsessed with the chocolate mousse! The food is great, and service also.
This is one of my "go to" restaurants. The food is consistently good and the service is always great.
Always enjoy this restaurant. Service is friendly, antipasti and salads and soups are served almost immediately after the order.
Wine list is good, although prices are a bit high.
Food is tasty. Very convenient for Lincoln Center events.
We have been coming here for many years and this was another lovely meal. We had a person with limited mobility and they gave us a great table with extra room. Service was great. Oh my goodness I love the antipasto. And the chocolate moose! And a good value. We ate a lot; appetizers and deserts and had drinks as well and the bill was reasonable.
Great carbonara and chicken parm a la vodka. Don't fill up on the apps!
Fiorello's never disappoints! The food is fabulous! The service is outstanding! The menu has something for everyone, and lots of things for anyone! It's tough to get a reservation, but if you do, they honor it. Crazy busy pre-theatre -- and pretty much any night for dinner. It's a destination in itself. We love it!
