Liked the food, however the cost is on the high side. Loved the atmosphere. The service was good.
Always a great place for dinner after the Lincoln Center theater events.
Food is consistently good, but tables for two are too small. Most tables are too close to one another. The only decent tables are the booths which are saved for regulars. Sitting at bar is an option, but it is catch as catch can there. Service is haphazard.
Everything was very good — drinks, food, and service. However, all your food portions are too large!!! You should offer everything in half portions, including salads!
Your chocolate mousse was awesome!!
conveniently located. unique twist on everyday dishes.
We went here for breakfast and ordered a scrambled egg dish and an omelette. For the price, we were expecting something with a little flair or expertise. Both were uninspired. "Scrambled eggs and Sausage" was dried out scrambled eggs with a side sausage that had been split lengthwise and cooked on the grill. We felt ripped off.
We wanted to eat here based on the association with the artist Kostabi. We sat on the patio for dinner and the service started out strong but quickly diminished however I think that was maiming due to the face the waitress was running to keep up with her tables and it appeared to be understaffed
The lasagana special was very unique and tasty but it’s HUGE and could have easily been shared between 2 people which I would if preferred as my pasta dish was quite bland
I hear it’s great for weekend brunch and I would return again but knowing it’s a more casual night out
This is a charming Italian dining experience. Outside and inside dining. Great food. A must if you are in the city.
Good pre-theater dinner. Pretty good prices. Nice service.
Delicious food and convenient to Lincoln Center.
As usual, food and service were good. But, as usual, it was much too noisy.
Anti pasta veggie dishes were superb!
Super fun experience with great wait staff, food and drinks. Great value.
Antipasto bar as fabulous as ever. Pastas were a little disappointing this time, but this neighborhood fave still delivers a good experience.
Very unaccommodating service. Not willing to make small changes (e.g. type of lettuce, dressing) in menu items. Seated us in a back room with two tables. Although it was quiet, as requested, the wait staff completely forgot about us. Side of spaghetti was $7.00 for barely a cup of pasta. Very expensive. Disappointing meal.
I think it is overpriced and over rated. The waiters are cold and indifferent and not helpful at all.
Dining before opers
Very noisy very crowded food ok
Well run organization. Got to our performance in plenty of time and without any anxiety. Knowledgeable waitstaff solicited our preferences and made very good recommendations. Did not feel rushed. Very noisy but acceptable trade off to meet performance timetable without worrying. Will recommend and will come again. Thank You!
We loved our waiter Al, he made great recommendations, very knowledgeable about all the dishes we were interested, served us promptly and got us out for our show in plenty of time. This was our 4th time at Cafe Fiorello..... You must be good because you’re the only surviving restaurant on the block that’s been there over 20 years!!! The tiramisu was also outta sight!!
the wait staff is always courteous and efficient; very well trained.
The antipasto bar has great choices and hits the spot every time; surprised more restaurants don't have this.
And it's always enjoyable to dine al fresco and watch the sidewalk traffic.
Love to eat there in the back where it's less noisy. Had an amazing dinner of Dover Sole and asparagus.
Brunch before opera
The food is not as good as in the past which is why we have avoided going there for the last two years. Again, it was just ok and not special. Service was friendly and efficient.
Always love eating here. My only problem is deciding what to choose since it is all so good!
Great location if attending an event at Lincoln Center-a five minute walk, easily accessible. Seating (with a reservation) was prompt and courteous. Tables are very close to each other making it easy to unintentionally overhear others' conversations and vice versa. Waitstaff was generally available and service was timely and not rushed. Food quality was fresh; may want to offer more than 3 small pieces of foccacia; it seemed a bit stingy. Overall, we've been before and will undoubtedly partake in the future.
Staff could not have been more helpful in seating us where we wanted to be. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the evening very much Thank you.
Reliably excellent food here...chicken parm could feed 2-3 normal people, best meatballs in Manhattan. Superb any time perfect before Lincoln Center.
Always good, reliable, esp before Lincoln Center productions.
We were welcomed and seated in a comfortable booth. Our drinks were delivered promptly. My partner had the small filet of sole with asparagus which was very good. I had the rigatoni which I enjoyed. It’s always comfortable returning to Cafe Fiorello.
The roasted brussel sprouts and fried artichokes were too greasy. The fish was excellent. Lovely sitting outside, even in the rain, and service was good.
You can always depend on a good, delicious meal at Cafe Fiorello --from the appetizers to the salads, pizzas and main dishes. I've returned many times and have never been disappointed. A bit noisy and tight seating during peak hours for lunch and dinner, but the food is first rate Italian fare.
Can you give less than one star? That’s what this place deserves!! Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated for a 6:00 reservation, waited 45 minutes for a pizza, which never came. Left and only explanation was “we’re very busy”. Completely uninterested in customers. Save your money and go to a REAL restaurant!
Very popular, service a bit slow, so if you have a curtain time, chose wisely and tell your waiter.
the focaccia was a bit soggy
It's unbelievably noisy oh, the service was mediocre
Had another great meal and once again Linden was our waiter and made the experience even better!
All good. Jammed on a Saturday evening, but prompt seating for my rez. Enjoyed the Dover Sole. Never had a bad meal there.
Just a really good excellent value meal
We were attending an 8pm performance at Lincoln Cter - we arrived with reservations at 6pm and were seated promptly.
Our waiter was pleasant and congenial - our bottle of wine and appetizer came without delay; however, our food took FOREVER to come out - we had ordered broiled sole and 2 pastas with bolognese sauce; nothing complicated. It was not till 7:10 that our entrees were served. Our waiter recognized the problem and brought some complimentary antipasto while we waited, but although we appreciate the gesture and the dishes we ordered were good, the meal was rushed as we had to eat quickly and head across the street.
We have often come here before performances with no problem, but the kitchen failed us this time!
This must have been an unusual day. Extreme noise from a private party we asked to be moved and from the time of the move we were disregarded. Our order took almost an hour to arrive. nobody apologized or made any arrangements for us to be serviced. They didn’t even bring the check for 15 minutes after it was asked for. at that point i gave up paid a wrong bill and left
i usually give a 4 or 5 star rating but i was mist generous this time in giving a 2
