Very enjoyable place with fun staff. The food is very good. Service is quick.

I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 4 years and it's been declining. The service is ok most of the time the servers could use more training. The food has been hit or miss but, mostly miss. To bad it's a great space and the menu promising it just fails on all levels.

I've been here before and the service has been great. Tonight it took 20 minutes for our wine to come and an hour and 20 for the food. The food was good but the entree portions were small.

INCREDIBLE Italian place that has amazing service, food, and portion size for price. The marinara sauce for the complimentary bread is delicious with a hint of kick, and the portion sizes are huge. Dessert is also gourmet and looks like something out of a food magazine. Polly is a fantastic server and we enjoyed our meal incredibly.

This place has been a staple for me for years. It has the best ambience and I have very many special memories here. I live an hour away and I drive here when I want a special meal. I was in town for work and I have a friend who is a local, so we agreed to meet here for dinner. Our server was lovely. Her name is Abbey and I would literally hire her in a heartbeat to work for my company. She is literally the only reason I gave 2 stars. If there were a way to give zero stars, I would have. So the food was so horrific, I couldn't even swallow it. I'm gagging now thinking about it. I asked for a manager because as a business owner, I wanted management to know that something was going terribly wrong. I looked at my clock in my phone when I asked to speak to him. It was just over 15 minutes before he gave us the time of day. He listened and he told us they have a new chef and the chef is struggling. I did nothing, but build the place up and I was honest. The food was not edible. I'm pushing 40 and for the first time in my life, I went to a nice restaurant and literally spit my food back on to my plate. I didn't even eat it. So the manager gave us a discount. I spit my food back on the plate and I got a discount. I would have been less insulted if he charged me full price. I told him I wasn't complaining because I wanted free food. I was complaining because I wanted to help a business I love. I paid the bill and tipped lovely Abbey, but I went from taking a break until they get a legitimate cook, to not really seeing myself ever going back again. There is such phenomenal food in Ventura, why would I ever give a penny to a business that is so insulting. Again in nearly 40 years of life, I have never spit my food back on to the plate. Never!

They left their front door open, so it was a bit colder that I’d normally like.

Our reservation was made at 7 PM with Open table. Also open was 6:45 and 7:15 when we made it. They called us 3 hours before our reservation and said they needed to move it to 7:30. We agreed and showed up at 7:25. They seated us 10 minutes later with menus and a promptly dropped off bread. We were hungry and ready to order but no greeted us, brought water or offered us a drink. The restaurant didn't look busy except for a table of 12 next to us which was putting their order in. After 25 minutes with no one checking on us it was 8:00 and a waiter (who was waiting on the table of 12) finally showed up. I asked him if we could have another waiter because he had a big table. He said no he was ready to help us. I said no and asked for the manager. The waiter walked over to another table and helped them. We watched him for a few minutes and decided it was a bad idea to stay at this restaurant and got up and walked out! It was now about 8:10 and we walked down the street to Casa Bella and had a wonder dinner with great service. We have dined at Cafe Fiore many times before and service has always been marginal and the food good but this was the last straw. Not going back!

Food was disappointing. My wife sent back her seafood pasta as it was flavorless, watery, limited seafood, no mussels, no clams ( we were told they were out of clams). Pizza ordered had topping on only 50% of pizza. Service great, food surprisingly terrible..... except bread.

We had a really nice dinner. Our server was attentive and efficient. Food was delicious, esp the complementary focaccia. Gnocchi was light and melted in my mouth. Husband's Osso Bucco was amazing.
2 negatives, first, music was more suited to a club atmosphere. too loud. Second, when we walked in, we waited for 4-5 minutes before being greeted by anyone. Hostess was seating other patrons and no less than 4 servers walked by the hostess stand without even making eye contact or saying "hi, hostess will be right with you" nothing...

Good efficient service. Salmon salad was delicious

There were 4 of us, 2 from out of town. All had pasta except I had cioppino. All very good but the chicken and spinach ravioli was served cool!

Service started well, but entrees were served 10 minutes apart. Two in the party had Pasta dishes that were served at a reasonable
time but two waited 10+ minutes to receive our food off the special and Entree menus. Probably the worst timing I have ever had.
Waiter did not check in to see how we were doing so I could not complain. I did get a “sorry” from the server kid that brought the
late food.
The food was reasonable except for he Caesar Salads unless Italian Caesar’s are without any recognizable taste or flavor. Bowls of lettuce
and maybe some type of oil.
My last visit here!!

Inviting, cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious but our waitress’ attentiveness was lacking. Love this place though and will return.

Fun evening at Cafe Fiore the food was great and the music later was fun!

The Paccheri Strasinate was delicious! And, the Italian bread pudding dessert was fantastic! The live reggae music was a pleasant surprise. But, the service and overall casual, welcoming vibe really made our night special!

We ordered a special, pasta with lobster claws and roasted tomatoes with arrabiata sauce. The pasta was overcooked, and so was the lobster claws. So the texture was a mixture of mushy and hard as leather. Frankly poor. I was embarrassed to have brought a guest to the restaurant.

Table next door was kind of loud. Otherwise, great dining. We split an excellent salad. Bread and dip were great. Entrees wonderful. Service outstanding.

Reunion of women.

I enjoyed Cafe Fiore much more than expected, from cocktail thru dessert. With a reservation, we were seated promptly. Service was friendly, we ech really enjoyed our entrees and our desserts. A decent list of wines by the glass (with suggested parings for the evening's specials) was also a plus. They added a sparkler to dessert for our birthday celebration. We look forward to returning.

The good was excellent but the desserts were the stand out of the evening!!!! Awesome!

Beyond the always delicious and creative dining specials, Cafe Fiore never fails to provide the perfect atmosphere for a wonderful evening away from home. The owners, Anna and Maria, are always inviting and their friendliness and professionalism is naturally instilled in their staff!
For a perfect evening out whether it's date night, friends get together, or an important business dinner, Cafe Fiore is the restaurant to provide a wonderful experience!

I've been coming here for years, service is always good but I found the food quality has gone down. Cold and salty soup was served and there was no crab for the crab salad even though the order was taken one hour prior to being notified. Not sure if I'd return.

We came in at 7:15 pm for our reservation and we were sat immediately. We placed our order even before our drinks were served. At 9:00 pm our food was still no where to be seen. We were told of a kitchen issue/emergency with the pasta cook. What I can’t understand why no other cook could jump over into this station. A couple who sat a full hour after us received their steaks before we were even offered any information. With hungry and tired kids in tow, we opted to leave and get fast food on our way home. We paid for our drinks and left. Not the evening I planned for my father-in-laws 70th birthday.

The food was delicious but it took over an hour to get our meal...probably won’t be going back for awhile

Tomahawk steak with Bok choy and scallop potatoes !! Never had Bok choy before, it's really good with the butter sauce . They had it on there special , We got lucky they were on there 3 week for this special ! We will get it again next time they have it !

Cafe Fiore remains one of our top favorites. Cocktails, service, food, entertainment, ambiance, our favorite table... nothing for us not to love. Keep the cocktails cold and the food hot... Well be back soon!

We like a cafe Fiore, but dinner and service the other night was very inconsistent.
