The place was nice, food was good but the service was terrible. The head waitress seemed very unhappy and she was not friendly at all.
Although we were not in a hurry, we found The waitstaff to be slow. However, they were friendly and polite. I always order the roast duckling here because it is the best of all restaurants in which I have ordered duck. Surprisingly, I was disappointed this time as the duckling was too dry.
Fantastic night out! This is my new favorite night out destinations.
Excellent service, atmosphere and food!!
Great for for reasonable price. Friendly staff. Easy parking
, live music via guitar later in eve.
Service was poor, did not get offered to review the specials, food was not prepared well with a number of items cold, we usually have a consistently good experience here so this being so bad was surprising
Cafe Escadrille is always a good take, whether you dine during lunch or dinner. Great Value for Fabulous Food! Never disappointed.
Great table, one of the best for lunch. The service was excellent and very accommodating. The food was done well, unfortunately the special of the day was a bit lacking in a sense of value, delicious salad with only 3 scallops at the same price of the scallop dish on the menu that served 4 more scallops. One of us had scallops for lunch so it was noticeable. It left us still wanting more and unsatisfied.
We frequent there with friends and family so this won’t put us off, just leaving us a bit disappointed.
Food was excellent and the server very professional and helpful, if a bit...seemingly rushed. I was not crazy about the overall ambiance of the place. It's big and one gets a sort of "buses welcome" vibe walking in that detracts from any romance or special occasion feeling one might be looking for. (I was). Also, for those reasons, feels like it's geared toward an older suburban crowd. Which it is and which is fair enough, but that makes it a little un-hip.
Excellent meal, attentive wait staff.
Excellent food. Excellent service Relaxing atmosphere.
The food was very good. Our waiter was very pleasant but a bit flustered. Overall a very good experience.
we especially like to sit outside, where it is quieter and easier to hear our own dinner conversation. This doesn't work as well in the winter.
This was my second time visiting this restaurant, it’s used to be a high end restaurant from Burlington, we were so disappointed the food was horrible, service were bad, our dinner wasn’t finished and server rushed out the desert while my wife was still eating, we had mentioned online these was our anniversary and birthday celebrations, no one seemed care nor concern about, we had so many great restaurants in Burlington now, if this restaurant like this, I bet it will not last long, we definitely will not recommended to people nor will coming back.
The food and service were great. Very nice patio. We will definitely be going back for dinner.
Came here for DineOut Boston with 2 friends. We booked a table for 7:15 and were instantly brought over to our table. The live band was setting up at the time we entered. Our waitress provided quick and efficient service. We were given bread (they have raisin bread?! So good! And crackers!) and water very shortly after sitting down. My friends ordered a $9 glass of Pinot Grio and a $13 cocktail. Cocktail drink was smaller than expected but it did have the hard liquor in it that my friend was looking for. From the DineOut menu we ordered the French onion soup, mixed greens salad, and New England clam chowder to start and added the escargot and crab stuffed mushrooms from their regular menu. We enjoyed the soups, the goat cheese in the salad was phenomenal, the mushrooms were delicious, the escargot was cooked nicely. We had 2 plates of veal and 1 plate of the cod for entrees and ordered linguine, garlic mashed potatoes, and rice pilaf as sides (linguine doesn't show on the DineOut menu as a side but the waitress said it's on there because it goes with the Italian
cuisines, so linguine we got). Veal was "squishy" as both friends described it but I'm unsure if that's because they've never had veal before/not often enough but the rest of their dish was delicious. My cod was cooked just right, still juicy, but also not drowning and crumbling into pieces. We ended the night with the Ghirardelli brownie sundae and 2 creme brulee. Creme brulee was heavenly, so fluffy and light. The brownie sundae was rich and smooth, delicious chocolate heaven. After dessert, we stayed for a decent amount of time just chatting and sipping a decaf cappuccino (smelled amazing and perfectly countered the sweetness of the dessert). We weren't rushed out and the music was starting to play some good 80s-90s music. Overall, we had a wonderful get together. We will most definitely come back again for those desserts, mark my words.
I have always enjoyed the Escadrille. Been going there for years and this time was the only time I was not satisfied. Maybe it’s because it was Dine out Boston and was quite busy, but it was subpar. The waitress was quite a brute to the point of being rude and the food was not up to its usual high standard.. I usually get the filet mignon and have always enjoyed it. But... Also, we had a VERY loud group beside us. I know that is not the restaurant’s fault, but I had invited guests and had talked up the restaurant so much that all in all it was a very disappointing experience.
Celebrating our wedding anniversary at Cafe Escadrille is
always wonderful. Everything that makes a perfect experience is part and parcel of why we continue to choose Cafe E as our destination for special occasions.
Thank you so much. Looking forward to our next visit.
We had lovely meals. Food was prepared prefectly. Service was superb. Price with Restaurant Week was amazing. We haven't been here in years, we will return soon!
Went for restaurant week menu - one of the best varieties and values in these suburbs. Food was great as usual. We also go there when it's not restaurant week. My only comment was the waitress. A silly thing to comment on, but she had no personality. Barely spoke to us, delivered the food to us with no interaction, delivered the check by just leaving it on the table, again with no interaction. Maybe she was annoyed at restaurant week, but one of us had a martini and a glass of wine, and the other diner had a martini, so the check totaled more than $66!! It was our anniversary, and it was kind of "a downer" for the tone of the meal. This was the first time I experienced this type of service in a long time. In fact, the last time we were there the waiter was very personable and interactive without being intrusive, and we both commented on the way home how enjoyable the meal had been.
This was my third visit to Café Escadrille in the past 2 years and I was sorely disappointed. The food wasn't great and our server really was not great. Granted, it was Restaurant Week, but I have been here for Restaurant Week in the past and it was much better. One very redeeming part of the evening was our table. We were in little room to the left of the front door, the back corner in a booth, which gave us a great opportunity to talk. The noise level in the main restaurant area was definitely higher and I am very appreciative of that smaller room.
We visited Cafe Escadrille during restaurant week/ Dine Out Boston with another couple. The food was outstanding, as always! Toni was our server and she is marvelous. We always enjoy the Escadrille. Burlington has numerous dining options but this restaurant is hands down one of our favorites.
Very nice experience. Food and drinks spot on. Service very good. Good restaurant , good food would go again
Perfect for wives birthday
Everything was excellent! I’ve dined there before and it’s always excellent.
Although it was very busy, we got excellent service, never felt rushed. We were able to enjoy each course
(French Onion Soup, wonderful), a personal favorite. I got the tenderloin which was both fork tender and flavorful.
Again, it was super busy but the noise level was not an issue. I could not hear others conversations.
As always, consistently very good.
Had opportunity to experience inexpensive lunch as part of restaurant week program at this excellent restaurant with excellent service. Will certainly go back again.
Excellent experience. Our server Caley was spectacular and helped make the evening a success
Went for restaurant week lunch food was not as good as we have had in the past. The blueberry pie was very laughable it was the size of a half dollar Waitress very moody think it's time to retire
We love the Escadrille. Always great food. Always consistently delicious. Thank you to staff and management.
Great experience from beginning to end. Food was amazing. Service was excellent Would definitely go back!!!
Excellent service, Our table wobbled and the server immediately sent someone to fix it,
food was outstanding, sevice great only slight draw back was loud
The only critique would be the sun was bothersome to one of our party. Even though the blind was down it didn’t make much difference. Otherwise outstanding.
Everything fine exc husband’s meat a little too well done. His choice not to send it back as he wanted to eat w everyone else.
Went for Restaurant Week on a Friday night, and it was a very good experience. The food was delicious, our waitress was extremely attentive, but not overly attentive so it's annoying. Nice pace of the meal, delicious cocktails. Would definitely go back.
Server was great. Went back on Tuesday.
Café Escadrille is our favorite restaurant. We go there for all special occasions. Love the quality, service and neighborhood feeling.
Awesome food , service and value
