Café Do Brasil
Happy hour can be enjoyed at our roof top bar, Bossa Nova Caipirinha Lounge, from 4-7pm Tuesday through Saturday. Bossa Nova is the perfect place to gather for drinks and tapas while enjoying one of the best views of the downtown OKC skyline.
Disappointing. Shocked when our waitress first approached us with out a mask! She corrected this, but left me uneasy.
Glad I ordered an appetizer, because it was better than our meal. We both ordered the Chicken stroganoff which just wasn’t terribly flavorful, and too salty.
I had wanted some iced tea, but when I asked the waitress what drinks were available she only listed soft drinks as options. Viewing the desert menu after our meal it was discovered I could have ordered this.
I asked for a cappuccino after our meal, what I got tasted like lukewarm reheated coffee. I will likely never return. So sad, was trying to help a business during covid and tipped our waitress nearly 70%.
The food and service was excellent. It was a bit pricey but well worth it. We did the dinner for two deal and everything was delicious. The passionate fruit mousse served for dessert was especially amazing.
Brunch was wonderful. Our server has been with Cafe for a long time and was very efficient and knowledgeable. They had run out of bacon for a benedict that was ordered. Chef/owner herself came out to explain. No problem with diner. I tried a dish new to me and it was great. Noise level is a little high but it always is because of the acoustics Love this place
Great food, excellent service as always.
The food is marvelous. Fresh concepts and plenty of options. They even have vegetarian and vegan entrees. The drinks are also unique. A gem in Midtown you should not overlook!
It was wonderful! The food is amazing and the people that work there make it a fantastic experience. You can tell they appreciate all their customers. The food is very ethic and I highly recommend trying it all! The restaurant itself is in a really cool building. I’m so glad I planned a birthday party there even though it was my very first time!
I have eaten here several times (brunch once) and the food is always excellent and the service great. The chef is always out greeting diners and asking how the food is. The prices are really good for the amount of food you get.
Food was amazing and I loved our serve. She was very knowledgeable of all food on the menu.
Excellent food, Great staff, Great Prices, wonderful accomodations!
Very happy we went. Food was excellent. Ambiance was great.
Great food. Excellent service. Wonderful ambiance.
It was our second anniversary at the Brazil
And it was great. We will be back before our third. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
I took my wife out here for Valentine's Day, therefore, my review may not speak to what it's like on a regular day. On Valentine's Day, there's a set menu like at many other places. However, I felt like none of the entrees were things I wanted. There was a steak, pork, vegan, and seafood option. I don't eat steak, pork, or shrimp. They were willing to give me the seafood option without the shrimp.
The portion of food they gave me was appetizer sized. You can't charge $55 per person and give me appetizer sized food. My wife got the filet mignon and she felt it was okay. Usually when you order steak, you're asked how you'd like it but that was noir the case here. So her meat was a lot redder than she would have liked. The desert wasn't anything to write home about it either.
Overall, I'd say that this restaurant did not live up to the price point for me and I likely won't be returning unless I'm eating for free. Like I said, we went on valentine's day so maybe things are different on a regular business day with a standard menu.
I added a picture of my bowl to show the size. I meant to take it before I ate but I forgot.
Great place for a date. Amazing food! Caring service.
Excellent food! Cant believe it took me this long to come and eat here.
Thank you for having some healthy plant based options!!!
We loved our meal at Cafe do Brasil! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My wife is a vegetarian, and she had plenty of selections to choose from on the menu, which is not the case at every restaurant! We started off with two fresh cheese breads, which are a MUST for anyone visiting Cafe do Brasil. For our main courses, my wife had the Moqueca de Legumes and absolutely loved it (I tasted it and it was incredible). I ordered the traditional Brazilian Feijoada and it was just as amazing as the vegetarian dish. We would eat both of those dishes again in a heartbeat! We've also had dinner at Cafe do Brasil on another occasion and could rave about the food in the evening just as much as for lunch. Be sure to check out the Vatapa Vegano Na Morenga, whether you're a vegetarian or not, and don't sleep on the Esprito de Terra - both are delicious. Beyond the food, we have loved our experiences at Cafe do Brasil - the staff is friendly and quick, and the restaurant has a great ambience!
Cafe Do Brasil has always been a family favorite. We came on a Saturday evening but did not seem to need reservations as there were plenty of tables available. Service can be spotty as we had to gesture a waitress (not our waiter who was not available at the time) for our water to be refilled. Apparently, this is not in her job description so she flagged someone else to dispense the water. Food was great, and I got the short rib seasonal special. It was very good, but only had two short ribs so that made me sad. We thought the tables were too close together as we could hear the conversations at the next table (both sides) very clearly. I would understand if the restaurant was bustling and filled but it isn't so I would suggest to managers to remove one table that flank the side walls to allow more space between tables.
We loved the live music & still being able to carry on conversation while enjoying a wonderful meal.
Had dinner for two. It was awesome. Will definitely go back
Amazing! Truly. As gluten free Vegans what a complete treat to go into a restaurant and see a gluten free vegan section on the menu without having to ask the chef to modify something....and it was totally delicious. We ordered 3 dishes - all were substantial and so flavorful we loved it. Definitely a place to visit if you like variety and bags of flavor. I totally understand why this restaurant has a repeat clientele and is an OKC favorite. It deserves all the accolades.
Highly recommend! Great food, quick service, and easy parking.
The NYE special was absolutely wonderful - several choices of their great entrees and a full 5-course meal. Besides the food and the fun atmosphere, the live music they had on NYE was mind-blowing. It was some of the best live music I've heard in a long time, and really capped off a wonderful start to our night downtown.
Wanted to try something different to kickoff the New Year. Cafe Do Brasil did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, service, & food.
I have dined at Cafe do Brazil many times before and this visit was just as amazing as all the rest. I tried the Moqueca de Legumes for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The creamy coconut ginger manioc broth was full of Calabaza squash, carrots, leeks and watercress stewed to perfection. It was served with a generous portion of toasted coconut black rice sprinkled with pesto farofa adding a burst of flavors and textures that balanced well with the stew. I will definitely return to Cafe do Brazil for the Moqueca de Legumes.
Food was great, unfortunately the music was just ok.
Our server was fantastic. The atmosphere is pleasant, layout is nice and eye pleasing. The food, unfortunately, was nothing to write home about. I ordered The Hangover, chorizo scrambled eggs with spiced black beans, cheese potatoes and tortillas. The main event of the plate was underwhelming and unappealing to the eye. I was expecting identifiable eggs with chorizo blended in, looked more like dog food . The texture was off, the flavor was okay for the first bite before too much heat kicked in - as if the dish relies on the hotness dulling taste, which I think is the point since my initial taste response was disappointment. Their house made chorizo has less flavor than dollar general sausage . The potatoes were rubbery and flavorless, like they'd been boiled as prep, stored cold, then microwaved before being slopped on a plate with salsa and a little cheese. I might go back again if someone else was paying, but there are exponentially better Brazilian/South American experiences available in the OKC area.
It was a late night after work and I decided to give Cafe do Brazil a chance. I do not regret my decision. The room was spacious and open. The service was outstanding and very helpful. The food is amazing and a lot of fresh ingredients. I had the honor to speak with the chef. She sat down beside me when I finished my meal. She's very humble and sweet. Cafe do Brazil is worth bragging. I will highly recommend to all my family and friends. A happy and soon to be regular customer.
Enjoyed the live music! Good atmosphere. Food was delicious! We will return.
Absolutely wonderful. Was out anniversary and this restaurant could not have been a better choice. GO! Can't say enough good things about the place.
It was great! The food is really good and the service was great!
We have been to Cafe do Brazil before and loved it. We took our friend who came into town and we weren't disappointed.
The total experience was great! We'll definitely try this place again.
We come here often and it’s getting to be a hit or miss. Today the potatoes and the cheese bread were very dry which isn’t normal. It was like they reheated day old potatoes and bread or something.
We had to ask for coffee refills twice before he brought it and we almost had to ask a third time and he realized he forgot.
I hate to write this kind of review but I have to be honest.
We enjoy coming here after Mass. It’s close by and the food is normally pretty good. But we may have to be looking for another Sunday brunch place if this continues.
Experience was fine. Would eat there again if asked, but nothing so memorable for me personally that would summon me back.
Great food and fast service.
As always great food and great service. Love the tropical salad.
Awesome experience. Food was great. Maybe sectioned seating would be more romantic
Thank you so much! The staff made my afternoon worthwhile.
