An all-around disappointment. Glacially slow service (even by the low standards one expects on a Saturday evening), mediocre, bland food...(maybe the first French restaurant I have ever been to where the chef must not have heard of those wacky condiments salt and pepper....) escargot and fore gras were utterly forgettable...and to top the evening off the waitress was completely unapologetic about throwing an extra bottle of wine on our tab....guess we’ll keep searching for a good French bistro in North Palm Beach County....
As always, a wonderful meal and great service. Has become one of our favorites.
Great lunch, sat outside. Enjoyed
I have been to the Cafe multiple times for the in the past 7 years. Each was excellent and why I return for special occasions.
However, this was not one of them. The onion soup was exceptionally salty! Tasted like they doused it with celery salt.
The veal Osso Buco was prepared with an unusual sauce that did not pair wth the dish. It was not complimentary and harsh. It also was excessively salted or spiced.
Every restaurant has a bad night. I will come back but I thought you know.
It is in a lovely setting. Perfect evening weather and overlooking the Jupiter Yacht Club and walkway. The food was great. The salads and mussels were top quality. A perfect scenic place for a great Florida dinner. Denice
We were underwhelmed. We follow a gluten-free diet, and came to this restaurant because they offered a wheatless chocolate cake dessert. Before being seated, we told our server of our dietary needs. Her response was, "I can guide you." OK. First, without asking, we were led outside. Second, when we chose a table, the server wanted to separate the two tables for seating another couple right next to us. We were only the 3rd occupied table at this point. We prefer to not dine with strangers on our shoulders, so we had to find another table. As to "guiding" us on gluten-free options, what we heard included, "You should be alright", "I think that's OK" and similar not very helpful "guidance." On several occasions, we had to ask explicitly to check with the chef on a question -- we can only hope that was actually done.
In conclusion, our meals were average, service was weak, but the dessert was excellent (and, presumably, gluten-free). Going forward, we won't be including this property on our lunch rotation. If you are from cold climates, the sunny, warm marina environment may cover up the weaknesses we noted. But, for locals, there are just too many good options to be underwhelmed.
Excellent Food & Service. Nice setting on the Intercoastal Waterway.
We had a wonderful time. The service was great and very helpful. The food was excellent.
Always like returning to Paris
Food is always good and the feeling of being someplace romantic is present
Service excellent tonight
Sometimes a bit too busy
Great food. Fantastic specials. Very good service. Great deserts. Servers all very friendly.
Our second time eating here and everything is consistently excellent.
Excellent food and service! Would def go back again
Xlnt service. Owner is approachable, knowledgeable, friendly. It has all three: great food, great wine, great ambience. It’s our place ❤️
Lots of fun on st. Patty day. Liked it! Server was cool. Owner was involved. Recommend.
A real favorite, the place has a superb location, charming service, authentic French food.
The best atmosphere in Jupiter-feels like you are in France.
I love dining at Cafe des Artistes. The food, service, and ambiance are just wonderful. I love sitting outside by the water at any time of day. The wait staff is always pleasant and prompt, even on a busy night, and the food is always delicious. I would recommend dining here to anyone and always take my out of town guests here for a special treat. My all-time favorite is the Moules-frites and a glass of champagne. Love <3
A delightful French bistro in Jupiter. Ambiance is perfect for both inside and outdoor dining. Service was very professional and personable. We will be back many times.
Wasn’t happy that we had to pay a sharing charge even when we ordered appetizer, wines and dessert and coffee. Should apply only if you only order one item.
Our third visit - excellent menu selection with changing daily specials. Food was well-prepared and presented. Attentive service. An all around positive experience. We'll go back.
We enjoyed our dinner and food was excellent except soup a bit salty. Our waitress did an exceptional job on a busy night.
Was a little unhappy that we were sat right at the front door but the place is small. Food was outstanding and service was top notch.
Delicious dinner in a charming atmosphere by the water. My only criticism is that the carrot purée tasted more like mashed sweet potatoes, and if the menu doesn't label the food properly, it should. Scrumptious desserts. Not a bargain but not unreasonably priced.
Delightful first experience. Food and service excellent! Quite crowded however, and awkward entering from inside the complex - had to walk amongst already croweded diners to get to maitre-D (need signs to point to side entrance.)
Would highly recommend for the food! Thank you.
Went to celebrate MIL Birthday on a beautiful day - out door seating with a view of the Marina was lovely. Food was delicious, wine good and dessert lucious! Our waiter was very personable and handsome!
The food was outstanding and the service exceptional. Celebrating a birthday and the waiter made it a memorable evening.
Wanted good French food instead of seafood Had not been here and it was well worth it. Escargot not in puff pastry as indicated in online menu and served way too hot. Had to wait a long time before eating but never the less delicious!
It was wonderful.
Lovely spot. Unfortunately they couldn’t honor our reservation in a timely manor. Once seated, the waiter was very attentive. My order was excellent, escargot and salmon. My husband’s was rib eye steak, which was fair.
We requested a table outside and were assured we would have one and were seated in a booth inside.we has guests in town and were very disappointed..we had a 7:45 reservation and the restaurant was already sold out of the special appetizer of burrata..three of us ordered duck and the sauce was heavy and not one person enjoyed the meal.
Great tuna salad. Wonderful atmosphere on the outside patio. Server got a little backed up after food delivery so he never came back. Had to request our check. Definitely will go back though.
Wonderful all around!
Very authentic French, very well done
Cozy restaurant - pretty outside dining
Will be on our list to return
This was our first dining experience at Cafe des Artistes. My husband and I chose this restaurant because of the location on the intracoastal. It was a delightful afternoon and we enjoyed our anniversary luncheon there. I had the blackened shrimp special over mixed greens and it was delicious! Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. My only complaint was the close proximity to other diners. We were seated so close to another couple that we heard their entire conversation and it was quite distracting.
I never leave this restaurant feeling disappointed. It’s pricy, so don’t go that often, but I love it whenever I do go.
This restaurant used to be fun and good under previous ownership. Now it is overpriced and the food is below average.
Our waitress attempted twice to shove on us a wine that I really did not want because they had run out of my first 2 choices ,... to top it all, as we were leisurely finishing our meal, the owner showed up and told us that we had extended our stay and other people were waiting for the table....
Food and service were excellent. The only detraction from the ambiance is that there was a dog sitting on chair at the table next to me literally being feed by its owned with a bowl on the table. Absolutely classless at a somewhat classy restaurant.
Nice French-style menu with several daily specials. Food was all great - steak, mussels, fish, everything. Salads were good but nothing exceptional. Disappointed with service - had to ask multiple times for olive oil, water refills, etc.
Diego made our visit wonderful Mussels were delicious and quite a huge portion wine limited and no liquor Lovely setting
I feel like I'm back in France when I'm here. Everything is legit French, good!
