Great place for good food
The table next to us was too large for the space- people who didn’t know how to seat themselves, standing on top of other paying diners ruining our meal. Host didn’t get it- should have comped a dessert. I’ve dined here many times before- never went thru this insanity. Enjoyed my food but not the experience
As usual delicious meal ! Staff excellent , efficient, friendly, attentive. Meal of the day, Lamb and home made noodles was so delicious.
Enjoyed the evening. Service was very good, as was food.
The service was great and the menu has great price fixed options. The meal was average but everything else makes up for it. Great ambience too.
Steady as she goes. Dependable East Side Go-To for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Full Bar, Responsible Young & Older Adults Come Here.
We spent some time in Alsace last year and looked forward to finding some authentic places in New York. Cafe d'Alsace is truly authentic. There are many Alsatian dishes on the menu. My wife and I split a tarte flambée and it was very good. Main courses were very good as well. I had a nice choucroute garnie with a good mix of sausages, smoked pork loin etc. The winner, however, was my wife's choice of Baeckeoffe, a casserole of beef, pork, lamb and potatoes. The wine list is extensive with many choices from the main regions of France (Bordeaux and Beaujolais) and a good selection of whites and five Pinot Noirs (hard to find Alsatian reds in NY) from Alsace. We liked everything about the restaurant, and we will be back.
My favorite French restaurant. Only criticism is the music. It is too loud and unsuitable for a French restaurant. Please bring back the French background music
