Didn’t want to write a review because I didn’t want everyone to know how good this place is.
We love Cafe d'Alsace and have been coming here for years. The food is wonderful and the service is fantastic.
Really nice place. Good outdoor seating
Nice outside area
A lovely place, great outdoor dining and fabulous food. Excellent service as well.
Specials of the day need to give prices as on regular menu. Service always good but beard should not be sticking out under a mask...feels/looks unsanitary. Noise level bit too high in most areas.
Always a welcoming experience. I was entertaining two young women arriving by bus — needless to say the bus was late ( 75 minutes delay) - called the restaurant and was accommodated immediately. Food is delicious and portions substantial. It’s not inexpensive but well worth the money spent.
Both food and service excellent!!! Outdoor dining works very well.
Always a good neighborhood standby. Food is consistently good and fresh. Great dirty martini!
The food is excellent. The staff is friendly and very efficient. I love eating here. It's one of my favorite places.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood ... and in all of NYC! Delicious food and drinks and excellent service.
Duck was one if not the best. Chicken delicious. Pricey, but great. Salad was delicious. Bread was addicting! Highly recommend.
Food was excellent. Good menu choices. Excellent service.
It was a wonderful get together for my mother’s birthday. Outdoor dining was loud (street noises and the live band from the Mexican restaurant across the street!) but it was fun! Food was delicious and the service was great. I always have a good time at Cafe D’Alsace
Excellent food, fine service, great outdoor dining experience.
Too many questions. C d'A is fine. If you want a review, pay me.
We were visiting NYC for the first time in a long time and were happy to see that Cafe d'Alsace was open. The food was delicious as always, the service impeccable and we only wish we could make it a weekly event.
Very nice and welcoming
Noisy outside but good & revive very good
Food was basically good but not exciting for the price
I had dinner with my two nieces as we hadn’t seen each other in a long time. We had a wonderful experience. The food and service was top notch!!!
Good quality and service. Very comfortable environment
Love this restaurant. Great food, service & ambience.
You can always rely on this restaurant for a good meal on the Upper Eastside.
Awesome find. My partner and I loved this great neighborhood spot. Our first time here. The food is very tasty and nicely presented. The service is fantastic. We sat at the bar. The bartender and servers were prompt and friendly. The music was cool too. Nice sexy beats. Moderate noise level for a comfortable chat.
The food was nothing special except for the sauerkraut. It was what you might have gotten at a diner run by a couple from Alsace. The wine was good. It’s a niche restaurant if you like this food which we do but nothing went beyond the expected. And it should have for the price.
Consistently delicious and authentic. Terrific wait staff team. A local gem
We made the reservation for my mother’s birthday and brought in a birthday cake. There was a small cake fee which the staff informed us ahead. After blowing the candles, the restaurant went above and beyond adding ice cream and decorated the cake plating so beautifully. Highly recommend and will come again!
Got very expensive
The food is always excellent, as are the servers. On a hot muggy night the fans and foliage made for comfortable seating.
Service was wonderful and the food was good. Prices have spiked and we understand Covid has contributed to costs. We hope prices will settle soon so we can return more frequently.
If manager hadn't tried to give us the worst table despite having a reservation and there being several empty tables when we arrived, my ratings would have been higher. Once he agreed to us having a decent table, everything was fine. I hate to think it was because we were two women.
We are loyal customers who often dine here. We were treated rudely upon check in for reservation after waiting 15 min for her to sort out where to seat a table of 3 before us. Hostess was slow and rude. Wanted to give us the table 1 foot from hostess/entrance stand. There were many other open tables for 2. She refused to give us saying that there are fully booked. We did have a reservation.
Unfortunately, we will not return. A shame, because we have always enjoyed the food here.
The service was horrible. My waitress was pleasant but inept. I had to repeat every item of my order twice before she understood me and was largely absent during the entire
Duration of the meal. I had ordered an iced latte and replied “yes” when she asked me if I’d like bread. When neither arrived after 20 minutes and my server was MIA I had to flag down the hostess to get what I was waiting for. Eventually my original server appeared with the latte ( but not the bread) and I never saw her again. I
Assume she went home for the day. Even my check had to be obtained from a different employee. There are too many mediocre French bistros in and around the UES to ever return here again.
Service was excellent. Tables a bit close together.
The waitstaff was friendly and fun. Our lunch was terrific. We sat outside and it was enjoyable.
Always a lovely evening! Thank you.
Seriously intense wine and beer menu and great sommelier.
Can pair you with your food and price point.
Very nice outdoor seating set up off the avenue.
Extraordinarily well prepared food.
We’re going to return.
