   The bartender Juan was great! He was friendly and professional and received a great service! The food and wine was good and had a good time!!

   The salmon melted in your mouth. The early dinner is a bargain. I will definitely go here again!

   We were delighted to find another excellent Chef Driven restaurant on the upper East Side! Big fans of French Roast and Nice Matin on the West Side. Always a great experience so we knew Cafe d’Alsace would not disappoint. And we were right: excellent and creative food with outstanding service at a reasonable price.

   Usually love this spot but tonight was a 100% miss. Our server was MIA and when he was at the table, he wasn’t paying attention. We had to clarify our app order twice because he wasn’t writing down our order. I articulated my very serious allergy twice - both what sauce I couldn’t have for our order and the allergy itself. My bass showed up with random brown drizzle on it (I’m very seriously allergic to sulfites - which I did articulate, twice - first as no balsamic and second no wine - and boy that drizzle sure did look like balsamic) and despite the server and 2 busboys telling me it was fine, I asked to check with the kitchen. Ding ding I was right - thank goodness I listened to myself. The server said “sorry that wasn’t on the menu” as if it was my fault. I waited 22 minutes for a new meal, by which time my friends had finished eating. No apology, no visit from a manger, definitely not a discount. We had to flag random people to get more water or order more drinks, EVERY time. Just a totally off night. Despite that, the food was cooked perfectly so 5 stars for the kitchen, 0 stars for the restaurant, and an avoided emergency room trip for me.

   Another great visit. We sat in the back room again - much more chill than the large front room

   Food is always delicious. You are never rushed but service is attentive. Best value on the UES

   My first time there. Will not be the last! It was absolutely fantastic! Order the passion fruit crepe soufflé! Outstanding!

    Serving was good Food delicious Seated right away Got there just in time to order the pre fixe menu of seasonal salad salmon and ice cream. Great deal and enjoyed the wine
