The pumpkin soup was actually served out of a pumpkin, and was creamy and tasty. My daughter had the French onion soup, and my husband had cassoulet. Both were delicious. Entrees and desserts were very good, although the Grand Mariner soufflé was excellent.
My server was so kind! She recommended an entree that cost less when I told her that I was torn between two. She was not concerned about cost, but gave her honest opinion about which dish she thought tasted better. Boy, was she right! The
Beef Bourguignon is amazing! My husband also enjoyed his meal. He said the filet was the best that he’s ever had! I highly recommend Cafe Cuvée.
This was our first visit to Cafe Cuvee and it did not disappoint. The food, service, and ambiance were perfect.
Excellent food! Chef Jeff came out to meet us at our table. The bacon wrapped quail was a table favorite and was a great beginning to a perfect dinner. The desserts were over the top and included a pumpkin tart, fresh berry soufflé, a marshmallow s’mores chocolate cake, and creme brulet. Our waitress and service could not have been better.
We had been wanting to try this restaurant since its rebranding and hiring a new chef. It was definitely worth the trip back down to Midtown. The food was all excellent -- fresh oysters tasted as if they had just been harvested and shucked ; escargot swimming in garlic herbed butter; special of the day salmon entree was delicious with a unique medley of fall veggies as a side. Creme brûlée also was exceptional. Our server, Joshua, was very knowledgeable and sociable.
The only downside was the fact that the restaurant was almost empty; we prefer a quieter atmosphere for fine dining, but it's nice to have some social atmosphere. Hopefully this was an anomaly; it's a place that deserves a following or great French food.
Service was incredible and so was the tastes of food! Hands down the best Martini I’ve had. Happy was wonderful!
Had a wonderful dinner with my daughter. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. Will be back again. I live in Texas now and will make it a must when I visit my family. Thank you for a great evening.
The food and service was amazing, I will definitely be back.
It was perfect as usual! Wonderful dining experience and amazing French cuisine!
This is a n impressive French restaurant in mid town OKC. The service was delightful , drinks and wine great , food was excellent with fantastic details and all the flavors you expect from French styling. The parking is a block away so you might want to use the valet if you are not local.
Great food. Great experience. Will definitely be back!
This is my favorite restaurant. That said, all kitchens have an off night. Last night, I am sad to say was one of those nights.
Fromage was tasty with good presentation. The white bean cassoulet was the highlight of the meal. There are many wonderful flavors going on in this dish.
The disappointment came in the Duck Breast a l’orange. I had very high expectations for this dish having had it once before. In anticipation of a well prepared duck, I paired it with a Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Bourgogne. The Duck was not prepared correctly. The top skin was chewy and inedible. It had not been seasoned or scored as is needed in this dish. The l’orange was absent from the dish, replaced by some canned Mandarins. Bloody juices from the breast pooled under the bird making the mint peas a bit more like a soup. While the taste of the bird was good, it lacked seasoning.
With such a disappointment I skipped dessert. I’ll be back, but the duck is off the menu for me. The service, as always, was impeccable. The wine was outstanding.
We enjoyed our entire meal. Quality !
Overall experience was good but we had to remind our server for the bread while we were waiting patiently for our appetizers. Then he told us the reason our entrees took so long (about 35min) because there was a 30 top at Obar. Food came out lukewarm but very well prepared. Just seemed that it sat in the window for a while until it was ran out to our table. Breakfast earlier in the week with cafe cuvée was a better service experience than in the evenings. Order the everything omelette.
Wonderful food, WONDERFUL atmosphere, wonderful location! We will be back for a nice date night!
It seemed like there were not enough servers for 8 people. We had to wait for everyone to get their food. Other than that it's a great place and we enjoyed it very much.
Food and service were very good. valet to return car after dinner was very poor. The wait staff took my ticket but they diid not bring my car around until i went to desk clerk and saw that my keys had not been picked up. My clain check had not been given to the valet.
Our server, Shawn, was very attentive. We three ordered different meals with intention of sampling each other's plates. The burger was excellent. The quiche Lorainne was melt in your mouth. The Osler Omelet with dill, cream cheese and smoked salmon was too intense. Too salty with all the other herbs and flavors. I'll definitely come back to experience the dinner menu.
Farm to table freshness quality
The food was worth savoring every bite. If you’ve been looking for a traditional French restaurant, this is where you want to go!
Café Curvee provides a great place for a quiet lunch for social or business purposes without breaking the bank. I dined with my business associate on a Friday and the venue was practically empty. The setting is elegant without being overly formal. We both opted for the same dish, a seared salmon filet served atop a bed of rice pilaf and grilled asparagus. The salmon was deliciously seasoned with a very crispy sear on the skin. The asparagus was very tender and paired well with the rice pilaf. We drank only water and wanted to have a light lunch. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The menu provides a wide variety of French-inspired items at very reasonable prices, almost all under $30 and most under $20. It is located in the beautifully restored Ambassador Hotel in Midtown Oklahoma City. Free valet parking is available as well as free street parking. I'm glad that I remembered Café Cuvee to host my business colleague visiting from the DFW area.
Food and service were very good. It was late on a Thursday night so it was not busy at all. Service was attentive, the atmosphere might be able to be improved upon, but the food was really quite good, and service was good. Prices were competitive but certainly no bargain, about the pricing you would pay at any OKC fine dining locations. Nice change of pace might be the value that I would see here. We probably wouldn't go here 5-10 times annually, but it was a nice change of pace. I think that if the weather is good that the roof top bar adds a nice touch for a date or a nice evening out with your spouse.
Everything about this restaurant is AMAZING! Oklahoma City is so lucky to have this prestigious restaurant. Do yourself a favor and order the filet and an Ambassador sling. Outstanding service!
Service was outstanding as usual. From the complimentary valet parking to the friendly staff, this restaurant sets the standard for others. We came for brunch, and I wanted to try a Loire Cremant. It was not on the drinks or brunch menu, but the server happily found a bottle for me. I was not disappointed. It paired nicely with the salmon Benedict. We also had the pecan crusted salmon, and it was delicious.
The servers are knowledgeable about the food and the wines to pair. This is the place in OKC to try many very good wines from France. There are several Grand Cru and 1st Cru wines throughout the menu with many being a very good value for a restaurant purchased wine.
Great food. Like a Bistro in Paris. The special was Coq au Vin. From now on I want to know when the Coq is cooking I'm coming to dinner. Nice selection of French wines. Had the Chablis.
Husband ordered ribeye & they brought the filet, had to correct them...also they took my fork after appetizer & I had to ask for one when they brought my meal....besides that, great meal, great atmosphere, good service!
Second time for dinner in the last 3 months and the food was better than before. Both of my guests had the Beef Bourguignon and were so impressed with it that they ate so much they could not have dessert. I had the Scallops which were excellent and the accompanying asparagus were fantastic. The charcuterie platter we had as an appetizer was really fantastic. Of course I had to have my favorite Chocolate Mousse for dessert which was better than the time before. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for great food.
Had a fabulous dinner with Friends!!
Very good tasting food. This is the place to visit for lunch or brunch once in awhile. Lunch prices are on par with any other restaurant in Midtown, with a better atmosphere and less ambient noise
The food is amazing and the service was excellent! Highly recommend!
The food here is first rate, classic takes on fine, French dining! I highly recommend to satisfy your Francophile desires👩🎨
We were lucky and had Danielle as our server. She is so sweet. My guests from out of town loved your restaurant... thanks for helping us celebrate my son’s white coat ceremony with a wonderful dinner.
This was our first time to have dinner thee. Try the escargot. It was excellent. We will be back on a special occasion.
We had the most excellent server the night we had dinner at Cafe Cuvee! She was knowledgeable, explained specials and worked hard to complete our service in time for us to make it to Hamilton! Our food was delicious!!! Top notch. It felt like a real treat! Thank you!
The service was fabulous. The food was delicious. My filet was prepared to perfection as well as the fish which was a special.
My wife and I came to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary. Our server, who I sadly forgot their name was personal and knowledgeable. I am very stuck on my hole in wall local food in San Francisco. This restaurant was a reminder that some times you need to pay for a very good dinner. If I am ever in Oklahoma City again, this restaurant rant would be on my places to eat dinner at with my wife, family or friends.
It was a pleasant experience. The star of the evening was the Grand Marnier Souflée. I would definitely return for this!
The food and service was excellent. We love the seasonal menu and look forward to trying new dishes.
The oysters were fresh and delicious! The server and staff provided exceptional customer service and the evening was even more memorable as a result. The duck and smashed peas were table favorites!
