   This was the first time to eat at cuvée and I’d have to say it was excellent. The appetizer of escargot was perfect along with my Pastis. I had the braised short rib cooked perfectly in a rich jus. Others in the party had the duck and pesto spaghetti squash with many compliments. Staff was courteous and attentive.     The good - The ambiance was great. The drink selection was great. The bad - The chairs are old and uncomfortable. The waitstaff was spread too thin and not as attentive as expected/needed. The ugly - Duck was raw. Braised Short Ribs was more like pot roast. The soufflé was raw and technically incorrect. The best item of the night was the chartuterie. The manager was apologetic and obviously upset with the kitchen, but for the price, these things just shouldn’t happen. Unlikely to have a return visit.

    I booked Café Cuvee for an important business coffee meeting, and it did not disappoint. We could hear each other, it was not crowded, and the waitress was sweet and came around just enough and not too much. I will use Café Cuvee as a meeting spot every time.

    For my husband’s birthday I made reservations and let them know it was a special occasion and when I arrived they had a table prepared with a little picture frame and treats. The servers were friendly and attentive and we will definitely be returning.

    We happened to come the day Cafe Cuvee introduced a new menu, which looked great but gets mixed reviews. The spaghetti squash with pesto was fantastic; the tuna Nicoise rather firm and dry; the crab cakes were not heavy and not very crabby. Based on this first try, we liked the old menu better. But we love this place--the elegant but comfortable atmosphere, and above all the staff, who are well trained and always genuinely kind. We always feel we are among friends here.

    Cafe Cuvée was absolutely excellent! The service, atmosphere, and food was spectacular. I 10/10 recommend this restaurant. Our favorites from the meal were the Escargot and Chicken Crepes. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! My husband and I were celebrating his birthday and they went above and beyond by even having a sweet, personalized happy birthday sign at our table when we got there. We will definitely be back. :)

    Very nice staff, on the whole, but there was a rather pushy hostess or server that was asking us about desserts before we even got a third of the way into the meal. The cocktail was delicious, and the bread they are rocking, along with the salted butter, are, modestly, a plebeian offering, but they do delight. The wine selection they had on sale featured was surprisingly fresh and drinkable, given that it was a five-year-old Chablis from France. Whoever sourced it on their staff did well. It is tasty. What was problematic for us, however, was a host of miscalculations in the food preparation. The amuse bouche was not particularly amusing for our mouths, but I can understand that particular offering and its quixotic nature of not quite pleasing everyone’s palates. The soup du jour they served us with chickpeas still had hard, chalky, chickpeas in the middle of it, making me think they were either not soaked as long as they needed to be or were freeze-dried and dumped. Most of the principal plate that both my wife and I ordered, the pan-seared scallops, had lukewarm temperature, at best. This was somewhat forgivable, considering that preparation for the veggies and the béarnaise that accompanied were pretty good. What did not serve was the ammoniated scallops that did not smell ammoniated, but, when bitten into and chewed, had a clear aroma of ammonia, revealing a spoiled nature to them. We did not eat the remainder of our principal plate. The food and beverage director, a lovely, accommodating woman, comped our entire meal, except for the wine. Understood. We will not be returning, but we understand that sometimes mistakes can occur. This was just too many for us to handle in one sitting. With the type of menu they were offering, you would figure that one out of every three or four plates of scallops that they would serve would serve would be cooked with an additional scallop for the cooks and/or chef de cuisine or sous chef to taste.

    We have always had a great experience at Cafe Cuvée, and tonight was no exception! This was my birthday dinner, and everything was perfect, from the Port Salut a l'cuvéeappetizer, Caesar salad, and Dover Sole, through the S’more dessert and sparkling wine. Everything was delicious, with spectacular service and lovely ambience. We will return!

    The drinks and food were excellent! We loved that the kitchen sent out an amuse-bouche. The wait staff and mixologist at the bar were both helpful and amusing. The space is moderate in size, but not small in any way and has a great feel to it. This is an excellent restaurant and a great place for date nights and special occasions.
