Classic upscale Italian restaurant. Food was excellent, although a bit heavy on the butter in the scallops appetizer and pasta. Outstanding service. Thought the alcohol was overpriced. The food was also on the high cost end. A 5.5 out of 10 value, because it will run a couple over $200 even if you have only one drink a piece.

We have gone to Cafe Cortina for many years for our Wedding Anniversary. This year we went for our 38th Anniversary and at the end of our meal they placed an odd flare at our table with no special dessert or inquiry as to whether we would like a dessert. This restaurant was always a special place for special occasions including our son’s wedding and tonight was very disappointing.

My husband and I had dinner at Cafe Cortina for our anniversary, and it was magical. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the food was amazing! We will definitely going back in the future!

Our visit to the Cafe Cortina was a unique culinary experience. - An Italian restaurant wit no veal on the menu? - The noodles in the Cacio Pepe we not al dente; they were duro fino al dente. Way underdone. - The gnocci pasta was OK. The red sauce was good too. The mushroom sauce was not so. The best part of the meal was leaving. Don't think we will be back.

Updated review: The manager contacted us within the week and spoke with me directly. He apologized for the missteps and requested that we return so they can provide us with an experience which we had previously come to expect. I am looking forward to re-celebrating my wife’s birthday. From my wife’s Cafe Cortina review on Yelp: Oh, how it pains me to share a poor review of Cafe Cortina, as all of my previous visits have been stellar. The experience on July 16, however, was marred by poor service and a tasteless entree. My husband reserved a table by the fireplace to celebrate my birthday. That was lovely. Also lovely was the wine steward who served an outstanding bottle of Sicilian wine. Then there was the rest of the experience. Our waiter was polite though completely inattentive. We waved down another staff person down after entrees arrived for Parmesan and pepper. Had the waiter checked in any time after our entrees were served, I would have told him that my dish had no flavor. Instead, my plate sat there for at least 30 minutes. When the waiter did resurface, he asked if I'd like the dish wrapped to take home. I explained that I did not and why, and he offered to have a different dish prepared. I told him that would've been wonderful had he asked earlier, but our meal was now done and we were ready to leave. His response: "Sorry, but I was busy." The bread-server gentleman must also have been busy. When he came over to ask if we'd like more bread, I said that we hadn't yet gotten any all evening. His response: "Oh." I don't know where the manager was, but there was no one to be found to talk to. (Both the waiter and bread person should have asked the manager to come to our table to offer an apology, but they did not.) All to say that, one of our favorite Italian dinner spots for well over a decade has left us very dissatisfied. It wasn't just the food or the service, but it was the combination of the two plus several missteps that won't soon be forgotten.

The service and the food was exceptional. We sat outside on an evening where the temps topped 90. The seating outside was under tenting. The area was almost entirely enclosed by a brick wall. This trapped the heat of the day and did not allow a breeze to cool. I think that when we come back it will be inside
