Had a wonderful dinner last night at Cafe Colline on Lee Highway. I ordered the classic French mussels and fries. The steamy lemon grass flavored broth made this the perfect meal for a winter night. Fries were crispy and addictive! Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Overall it felt like a European getaway right in my neighborhood!
Amazing and much needed new French spot in North Arlington! Love it!
Great service. Great food as always.
Went for lunch and had the French Onion soup and Croque Monsieur with Frites. Classics expertly prepared and served. Frites are the best in town!!
Flavorful food carefully prepared ❤️ drinks were amazing and seasonal
The best new restaurant in Arlington! Love this place.
Good atmosphere, attentive staff, well flavored food, portions are good without being too over filling. Overall we will return.
No reason to go downtown or to Great Falls for great French cuisine. Cafe Colline gets 5-stars from both me and my wife. Our anniversary dinner was outstanding in every way. Fish was perfectly cooked, crispy skin with haricots vert and a yummy butter almondine sauce. Wine was also great. Thanks to the staff for a great first experience and for the anniversary champagne. Awesome
We tried this new place for the first time tonight and it was great! The interior has been re-done very nicely, and the tables are spaced widely apart. The service was excellent, attentive yet inconspicuous, and the servers all wore masks. The food was outstanding and very French. If you are hungry, you won’t be for long because the portions were quite generous. The Bibb lettuce salad was perfect with just the right amount of dressing. The pumpkin soup was delicious. We both had the mussels and Pom frites, which were done just right. I cannot wait to go back to try other things on the menu. I also want to check it out for lunch. A VERY welcome addition to the neighborhood!
Wonderful!!!
Everything we have ordered has been spectacular, the boudin blanc, the best steak frites in the area (along with Chez Billy Sud), the hericot verts, the leek appetizer, the escargot....... I could go on and on. We are so thankful they are in the neighborhood. We plan to go weekly while we can.
Thoroughly enjoyable; very good food; very good wait staff.
We had an exceptional time at Cafe Colline! Food, service, ambiance were perfect. Recommend the escargot...delish! We will definitely be coming back!!!
Excellent food and service. Everyone on my table ordered something different, we were keen to try the range, and it was all wonderful. Great to have Cafe Colline in Arlington. I hope it stays a neighbourhood gem, but I expect it will soon be hard to find a seat, so book now.
Cafe Colline is a real slice of gastronomical heaven in North Arlington! Glad to see this start-up restaurant doing well during the pandemic. Have used the take-out service before. And, they are serious about Covid-19 precautions while providing a great dining experience with high quality food and service. Congratulations Cafe Colline! The girlfriend and I will be back many times in the future.
Best meal I have had in a very long time! Gorgeous restaurant.
The appetizer of prawns, grapefruit, and avocado was delicious. The Sauvignon Blanc also very good. My squash pasta with pistachios was not great, too thick with cheese. And my husbands mussels were bland. Other restaurants have a tastier broth. The dessert was nice. We love the Georgetown restaurant and bar, but this one did not quite rise to that height.
The best meal we have had during the pandemic. Everything served was terrific. The seabass dish is outstanding. The chicken liver mousse was one of the best I have ever had. The inside dining environment felt safe and the staff attentive and excercised necessary COVID protocols graciously. We will return soon.
The food is always wonderful and the staff was so caring.
The food was delectable that it blew me away. I'm an avid foodie and have 20 more restaurants to finish off from the 2020 Washingtonian's BEST 100 Restaurants. This should be included. I loved the seabags, the beef cheeks and the rice pudding. Each taste wanted me to take another. Can't wait to go back!
The most incredible food. I cannot wait to return.
Cafe Colline is always fantastic. We are so excited that they have moved to Lee Heights Shopping Center.
Amazing escargot and lovely meals - we eaten there twice and each time was delightful
You know it's good when you start planning your return visit to a restaurant. We dined indoors as tables were comfortably socially spaced. The greeting was prompt, warm, and the service was attentive and friendly. The Velouté de Potiron is not to be missed. The Loup de Mer is light and delicious, executed beautifully, and the Boudin Blanc is exceptional. Toward the end of the meal, our server assisted us in pairing dessert wine to enjoy with the cheese plate. We didn't have room for dessert, but next time, I'm ordering the Creme Brûlée with confidence. If you are a fan of Chez Billy Sud, there is no doubt you will love this experience too.
Escargots, boudin blanc and steak were delicious. The restaurant is lovely and we'll definitely visit again.
I live in the neighborhood and we have needed an upscale place like this for a long time!!!! Everything was wonderful down to the lavender creme brûlée. I’ll definitely be a regular here. Can’t wait to visit again :)
The food at Cafe Colline is amazing! We’ve had a fabulous meal every time we’ve gone there for dinner. The service is outstanding too.
I finally made it to dinner at this fairly recent addition to Arlington and am so very glad I did. It is a French jewel tucked into the Lee Heights shops on Lee Highway. Right away I was reminded of the neighborhood cafes in NY. The service was super, friendly and warm. They have done a great job at social distancing and the food was amazing! Prices were a little high, but after tasting the food, I was not disappointed. I will return.
Wonderful food in a cozy space. Let’s hope this gem survives Covid!
Service and food was fantastic. We will definitely go again. The sea bass I would eat every day if I could.
A lovely addition to Arlington dining scene and our neighborhood. Cozy and inviting atmosphere, delicious food and wine, and top notch service. We're so glad you're here, Cafe Colline!
The waitress acknowledged that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and gave us a seat by the window. I had salade maison and fish with a caper sauce, and my husband had escargot and a burger. We were both very pleased with our meals and thought that the food was outstanding -- including dessert. There was a nice selection of French wines. With dessert our waitress surprised us with a glass of sparkling wine and a glass of ginger ale ( she noticed he was drinking iced tea).
Two couples tried this brand new French cafe for my birthday dinner. We drove in from Oakton to Arlington. And it was worth it! The food was absolutely excellent. The regular salad, frisée salad, and escargot appetizer were delicious. Our entrees were 2 orders of mussels, the sea bass, and steak - all of them also delicious. The wine and cocktails were a little limited but we all found good wines to our liking. The only drawback was it was freezing inside - take a sweater or jacket. They eventually got the A/C adjusted so it was more comfortable. We were told they also have a new sister restaurant at Mosaic - called Parc DeVille I think - that is closer to home and we will try that next. Highly recommended!!
We enjoyed a delicious steak au poivre outdoors on their back deck. It’s not a romantic setting but we were so glad they had it due to Covid protection of outdoors.
Each of us loved our meal and we enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon from NBC California also.
Our waitress was very kind.
Fabulous ambiance and food, it is so hard to believe it was once a crowded and cluttered Cassatt's! Clean and crisp decor, gorgeous fixtures and lighting and classic French food, which we were desperate for in Arlington!
Fantastic food and gracious service. Well be back!
We are so excited to have Cafe Colline in the Lee Heights Shopping Center and already consider it a neighborhood gem! The food was excellent, as was Adam our waiter. The escargot are incredible, as was the herb salad, steak frites, sea bass and chicken with delicious Dauphinoise potatoes.
Excellent French food, well served. The salade frisee was the best I've ever had. Ashley Wills
Best new restaurant in Arlington!
This was my first dinner inside a restaurant in almost 7 months! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the ambience and the food was absolutely delicious! Everything from the special leek appetizer to the escargot, croque madame and last but not least the decadent and rich Chocolate Hazlenut Pot de Creme. I will absolutely be back and I can't wait to try their brunch!
