I have been here twice and both experiences have been great. The French onion soup is amazing. The flavors in the dishes are well thought out and work well together. The salmon entree was very good. The second visit tried the CROQUE MADAME which I still think about. The service is very good and our waiter has been helpful in ordering. Like the bistro vibe and decor. Definitely recommend.
excellent food - wow!
disappointed with the wine (especially the small pour size).
I think the waiter noticed and comp'd us on our second glass, but should have gotten it right the first time
I really enjoyed everything about Cafe Colline. I am looking forward to returning soon.
Really special neighborhood spot. Beautiful interior, excellent food, large portions, and personable service. I’m looking forward to coming back often.
Everything was outstanding
Onion Soup was superb. We also all got sea bass and we all loved it.
Great little restaurant. Food is lovely. Rated service at 4 rather than 5 because they were almost too attentive. Wonderful otherwise!
The food and the service were wonderful. The staff were sloppily dressed in Levi's, etc. The salad and entree were delicious, the service was nice, and all four of us enjoyed our meal. We plan to come again.
An excellent find! Great service, atmosphere and the food was fantastic. Went my first time for my lady’s and I’s anniversary, l could not have hoped for a nicer experience! Thoroughly recommend!
The dinner was wonderful from start to finish with excellent service and outstanding food! I look forward to going back again soon.
This is a an elevated expression of the neighborhood bistro. Limited menu (mains, wine), but everything that is there is expertly executed and chosen. Brilliant for our neighborhood to have such a place, and worth the drive if you are looking for a really wonderful cafe experience.
Excellent food in generous, but not overwhelming portions. Excellent service.
Server was terrific. We ate outside in front.
The food was delicious except for the fact that is was overly salted.
Food: steaks done perfectly, but meat seemed tough; salmon was fine, nothing special; duck was excellent. Portions were ample.
Service: pleasant; strained for lack of enough staff.
Ambiance: tasteful; unremarkable; a full house gets pretty noisy.
Parking: very good, both in the front and back of the restaurant.
IMHO: good place for lunch; not a good place to mark a special occasion. Trying too hard to be gourmet, and not quite making it.
The food is great. We were rushed to finish our meal before we were done. The noise level is very high.
Loved our first visit to Cafe Collins previously, but a little disappointed with the service and ambiance yesterday.
Amazing food, awesome service — such a gem!
We went here to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent. Good selection of French wines. Wonderful salads and perfectly cooked sea bass and salmon.
Tables were a little closer together than I would think prudent in this time of COVID19 and its delta variant.
The food choices are interesting and delicious…this was my 2nd visit ( a total of 7 meals, including multiple appetizers). Every single dish delighted the diner who ordered it. It is upscale for the neighborhood, but a welcome addition.
Love this neighborhood spot. We've eaten her at least 6 different times over the last 4 months, and the service is always outstanding, and the food is excellent. Hard to find a table without a reservation on the weekends, but there's usually bar seating.
While the food is great, it is not enough to make up for the rushed and rude service. The bartender was dismissive while we waited and the server was beyond terrible. We were polite and would of course have left a tip, but were disappointed to see that gratuity was automatically included on all checks. I get it, the pandemic is difficult and so it’s hard to find good help, but it is not difficult to be nice. Total shame!
Excellent meal, nice special occasion champagne to end it.
We’ve been on several occasions and the place is lovely. Saturday lunches have been fantastic because it’s not crowded and the service has been great. However, dinner time is loud, service is rushed and frankly rude. I want to love this place because it’s a great addition to the neighborhood, but they really need to care more about their diners. If the service continues to be so poor, they are going to lose a lot of visitors…
Really top-quality food and large portions. Pate and chicken liver were divine as starters, as was escargot. Friendly service, lively atmosphere.
20th wedding anniversary. Just right in terms of atmosphere, food, ambiance and service. Patê was excellent as was the goat cheese w/figs & honey. Lovely Steak frites and sea bass. Desserts are a must!
Good neighborhood spot for week night dining.
Very cute little French bistro. Food was terrific. Two of our group had sea bass, one had duck and one pasta. All outstanding. A little noisy. Using the QR code for the menu, we missed the note that there is an automatic 20% tip added to all bills. Only figured it out after signing the credit card receipt. Were able to correct it before final payment. But we overall loved the place.
Hallelujah a great restaurant in N Arlington finally! Everything about this place is exceptional, but the food is a real standout. YUM.
We had a wonderful 1 st experience there. Very nice staff and loved the food!
The server was rude and rushed and unfortunately that affected the evening very much. We were polite and grateful to her, but we could not ingratiate ourselves to her. The food was good. Don’t know that we will be back.
Excellent meal and lovely ambience. Great addition to neighborhood.
Our food was delicious. We had very long waits between courses. The room was uncomfortably cold. It was too noisy to enjoy conversation at our table.
Great local spot with amazing food! The corn soup was delicious!
We dined here last night and the food was delicious. I had the Bucatini Provencal which was made with a pistachio pistou and was full of flavor. My friend had the beet salad (wonderful and lightly dressed) and French onion soup which she said was the best that she has had to date. We will be returning soon to try the remaining options.
Delightful. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back.
French restaurant that doesn’t serve bread tells you something. Small menu of overpriced dishes. Dismal wine menu of iffy wines. They add an automatic and abusive %20 tip to your bill. Plus jamais!
This is the second time we've had the pleasure of eating dinner at Cafe Colline and this is simply the best restaurant we've tried in the DC area. The attentive servers are polite, discrete and knowledgable and the food a simple pleasure to look at and taste. The only minor potential improvement could be better sound dampening as there is quite a bit of noise when the restaurant is full (...which it always is - and rightly so :-)). Great experience that we recommend to anyone.
Always a pleasure eating at this neighborhood gem!
Really excellent food in a friendly neighborhood restaurant.
