Food and service with were exceptional, during the pandemic I don’t think I got the full flavor of the atmosphere but we really enjoyed it there.
We reserved a table for Sunday brunch . The food selection isn't enough .. I think it needs 2 more additional items in this menu . But what we did order was fantastic . The home made rolls with butter was absolutely fantastic . The avocado toast with 2 benedict eggs was surprisingly very filling . And the cocktails were just what we needed . Thank you 💘
what a bummer off an experience. Food was TERRIBLE and so expensive. order the squash gnocchi. It came with very small portion and the gnocchi was so rubbery. and absent of flavor. the broccoli side was bland and missing salt and maybe something to make it interesting. My friends curried salmon was bland and served with a heaping pile of coleslaw!??? the waiter was mostly absent. I know covid has really shaken up the dining experience -but please don't forget to make good food and be hospitable to your patrons! We spent a lot of money for a fun dining experience and got nothing. will never go here again.
Service was a bit slow getting to us.
Cafe Clover has had consistently good food and attentive service. I've always had a good experience there, and their dining terrace during the pandemic is probably one of the most spacious outdoor dining areas in Manhattan: a real bonus!
Staff was excellent, and the food was very good. Would have been great to see a broader menu though with more brunch options!
The host was rude trying to rush us out of the table, which I understand but there’s a way to do it without being a dick. We had just gotten a round of drinks and he pretty much asked us to leave saying “I’m asking this as nicely as possible.” If you have to say that, you’re definitely not.
Very disappointed at their VERY limited menu not reflected on open table. I would not have booked, if I knew the menu was not as advertised. Staff was wonderful and friendly, but I was very disappointed.
Fantastic service, lots of outdoor space, delicious mostly vegetarian food.
A solid option for Covid outdoor dining but the menu was “limited” which, while understandable, was lacking in options. The service was a little slow at times which meant we were actually rushed through our final courses owing to early closing time. That’s never great! I’d still go back though!
My friend and I had a lovely brunch. The entire staff was kind and accommodating, the food was nice and the outdoor seating worked well. It was good to dine out for a meal and support a local restaurant.
Love this neighborhood spot, what a great offering of healthy treats perfectly prepared! The manager, Jermaine, is wonderful, and it's such a warm and inviting to come back to!
I’ve eaten here several times and it has always been consistently good!
Covid did change restaurant operations, however this restaurant didn't seem to have accommodated well with new sanitation standards. The seating arrangements were outside. When we arrived at the tables, we noticed debris on the table from the trees, which is normal for outdoors. When we sat down, the cups were preset on the table directly. So that was the first sight of uncleanliness. Secondly, the server came to serve us water. I immediately asked for a change of cup and straws to drink out of since the cups didn't seem sanitary. Next, when he was serving us water, i notice that the bottle where the water was dispensed from, was visibly dirty. The rubber part of the water bottle had build up all around the cap. I opted not to drink any of the water and instead order a peach bellini. My bf order a mimosa. When the drinks arrived, both were identical. And when i requested for more of the peach puree, i noticed it was pear. The food was not good either. I ordered the pancakes and it was raw tasting in the center and the strawberries were not fresh at all. Mushy and you can tell, it was starting to mold. I was disappointed to have spent my time here. It was not worth it at all.
Loved the Avo toast and the bacon was the right amount of crsipy!
This was a pandemic outing, so take the atmosphere and noise with a grain of salt. We’ll definitely be coming back when indoor dining is allowed again.
Everything was wonderful-loved the new menu and amazing service. So happy Clover is back!
Menu was very blah and food wasn’t so good.
Overall experience during this reopening / outdoor dining only period could be vastly improved if they just had umbrellas/covers to have all of their tables under shade. The majority of their tables were un shaded and made it a very unpleasant and hot brunch in this NYC summer heat. We saw many other customers asked to be moved to the shade or just leave completely. Very disappointed at their shortened menu as well.....not anywhere close to what it was pre COVID
Not so great! I would say we go to cafe Clover every two months. This past time wasn’t especially good
. Service was mediocre and food was just okay.
Cafe Clover is my new favorite restaurant as I can eat clean and have an exceptional meal!
odd seating configurations, but then it's an odd space.
Very grateful to the staff who were gracious to the baby who was with us — I know that makes life a little difficult, so much appreciated.
one of my favorite places to dine in the neighborhood. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is always excellent. everything on their menu is seasonal and thoughtful :)
My favorite restaurant.
Lovely dinner with friends. Fresh tasty food and friendly service. Table was ready on arrival. Nice ambiance although the interior is looking a little worn around the edges.
Very nice restaurant in a great section of Manhattan. Love the abundance of vegetarian options. Comfortable and cozy, and overall enjoyable. Was a little underwhelmed by the drink selection, standard big name liquors and well known regions for wine but felt a little generic. You can get standard cocktails but felt uninspired and in contrast to the interesting food menu. Food was excellent and will definitely go back to try again.
Delicious brunch. Best green smoothie I’ve ever had. Lots of healthy options available and beautiful location.
The Tuna Tartar crisps are the yummiest treats I have had in months! I ate here 3 days ago and I am still thinking about that amazing appetizer! The cocktail menu is fun and inventive. The dinner menu is beautifully done. I hope to have the pleasure of more dinning experiences at this lovely establishment.
Cafe Clover is a bustling, energetic cafe. My daughter has been many times but this was my first experience. Our table wasn't the best (middle of dining area and cramped) but enjoyed the food and experience nonetheless.
The Restaurant Week menu was noticeably worse than the regular menu (our table ordered from both). Drinks were yummy, we just felt like the meal was meh based on what we spent.
Had a birthday dinner for a friend here- I brought him flowers and the maitre d’ asked what the occasion was. They sent us a lovely dessert with a candle to celebrate. It was thoughtful and delicious!!!
Excellent ambience and while full noise level was not loud. Exceptional and timely service from host, server, and bussers. Manager greeted and said goodbye. Food was excellent. Will come in again
Love ! Always consistent -
Such a beautiful space- but it’s SO LOUD. Like I usually don’t mind, but I couldn’t hear myself speak. Everything else was great.
Lovely sunny dining room, tasty healthy food and charming service.
Overall enjoyed our experience. The food was good, the service was excellent, but the restaurant was too loud.
Had a very quiet lunch by myself. Despite the room being virtually empty, the waiters were sparse. The appetizer was delivered at the same time as the main meal without explanation or apology. Despite that, the cauliflower tostada was delightful and the shawarma chicken was tasty, if a little tough. All in all though, didn't feel like a guest here, more like an intrusion. Such a warm room - such cold service.
I had a wonderful experience in cafe clover. They were participating in restaurant week, and the food was amazing. The space was very beautiful, and the service was very friendly. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back!
