Cafe Chardonnay Ratings and Reviews
Excellent as always. The elk chop special was so flavorable & tender. Better than i imagined. I expect much, so was extremely pleased. Friend had lamb chops, loved them. Great service. They truly know how to treat their customers. That's why they've stayed in business all these decades.
This restaurant exceeded our dining expectations. The lamb and filet mignon were both fabulous-cooked to perfection. Their wine list is extensive. Our server Robert was outstanding and he further heightened our dining experience. You will not be disappointed.
The food is normal amazing but everything was subpar. Over cooked fish under cooked meat. And it seems like they added more tables to accommodate more guests which is great except it’s impossible to get to and from your table without placing your behind in someone’s face or on their table. It’s extremely unsafe for an older patron.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner for a birthday celebration. The staff noted the occasion with Happy Birthday confetti on the table and a wonderful flourless chocolate cake with fresh berries and whipped cream for dessert on the house. We split a pear and goat cheese salad which was excellent, then I had a grilled Halibut special with risotto carbonara and my husband had the duck which was cooked to perfection.
As the second floor dining area filled up, service slowed down a bit, however, between the two waiters assigned to the area, we were well attended to. Overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience.
Nice table for 2 overlooking pleasant well appointed dinning room; it was a cosy spot for lunch & conversation. The crabcake was delicious but was served with tasteless dry white rice however the julienne vegetables were a perfect accompaniment. This Birthday celebration was lovely and Cafe Chardonnay also decorated the table and served me a complementary cheesecake with berries to share with my friend. The whole experience was wonderful and attentive !
Mostly good food, I have had the cioppino on several occasions and am still disappointed it has too much shellfish overcooked. The last time I sent it back because the lobster tail was rubbery. It happened again and with the shrimp as well. The other diners were very happy with their dishes.
When we tried to use our Open Table gift certificate they denied it because we didn't have some number on it. We had printed the certificate and did not know what else they wanted. They dod not offer to contact you for the info so we could not use it. They were very nasty and were glad to just say goodbye. We will never go back
Waiter very strange. He waited one hour after serving drinks to come to take our dinner orders. Then when refilling water glasses, he knocked over a water glass, broke it and flooded the table and my wife’s dress. He barely said sorry and handed my wife 2 napkins to try to dry her saturated dress. She then had to sit thru dinner soaked and uncomfortable. No response from the waiter or management.
Very enjoyable lunch. I needed a gluten free lunch and our server was very accommodating. She suggested the shrimp and scallop dish sautéed with a butter sauce on the side with fresh veggies and rice. It was wonderful and I very much appreciate her suggestion!
Wade our server was amazing, food was excellent. With a restaurant that wasnt very crowded, i will never understand why we were seated next to another couple. We had to listen to their entire boring conversation. This couple departed before our entrees arrived, so it settled down. I did ask Wade to avoid another couple sitting right on top of us, and was successful. Next time i go here, i will speak up if the seating sucks, and if they cant accomodate, i will leave.
This restaurant is a constant in my rotation of restaurants while in the Palm Beach Gardens area each season. I would love to see them "shake up" the menu a little, in spite of having a specials for the evening menu, if you are a regular, you have seen all of the "special" dishes, repeated and repeated frequently. Doesn't stop me from going probably 4-5x every season, but it is a suggestion I would love to have taken to heart.
Celebrated my birthday with a fabulous wine selection and chef specials of flounder with crab for my spouse and haddock with risotto for me! Delicious !! A side of sautéed mushrooms along with the basket of warm breads is sure to make any foodie happy. Our service from Colin was great and his knowledge of Chardonnay wine was helpful along with his attention to detail with our dinner! Also, a complimentary flourless chocolate cake for my birthday was delicious.in addition as a member one entree was on Chardonnay!!! Yeah!
Was excited to try Cafe Chardonnay after hearing rave reviews from friends and neighbors. Food was very expensive and just alright. Once we finished up our meal, it was time for dessert. Disappointed when the apple pie we were excited to try came out cold after we ordered, “warm apple pie with cinnamon ice cream.” The only edible portion was he cinnamon ice cream which was quite nice. The waitress later asked how the dessert was, we were honest and she went back to get another pie and when she joined us again remarked that 4 other guests in the restaurant had the same problem of cold apple pie.
When leaving, if you are seated upstairs, beware of the stairs as they are very dark and not lit well especially at night time. A member of our party has a severe visual disability along with knee replacement and the stairs were quite challenging for her.
In an area with so much great dining, safe to say we will not be going back to Cafe Chardonnay.
