   The food was delicious, came out quickly and the iced peach tea was delicious. I loved the glass it was served in and appreciate all the ice that it came with.

   This is a classy art deco like restaurant right in Met Life building, Grand Central station. Very comfortable. Delicious food. Full bar. Great service. And, you can actually have a conversation at the table. Highly recommend.

   Food was good except the duck, i had many duck dishes in the past but, this dish had somewhat strong smell of a duck. Service was fair enough but took forever for servers to come through, main entree took awhile after finishing the appetizers.

    a very pleasant and tasty experience - business lunch meeting - a very nice table away from noise - and the food was excellently prepared. Service superior. A wonderful place for a meal - tried to return with colleagues Saturday but it is not open then.....except for special events ....You can get there from inside if you are staying at Hyatt - Lovely experience.

    We invited our friends to meet us at Cafe Centro because I knew that we would have excellent food, well served. Centro did not disappoint! It was exactly what I had hoped for - an excellent dinner and service that let us catch up with some friends we hadn't seen in too long. An added benefit, the menu is broad enough so that almost anyone can find something to choose, and that something will be very well prepared.

    We arrived right at the time of our reservation. Our coats were taken and we were taken directly to our table (no waiting). Server was prompt with our drinks, and was perfect in letting us chat before we ordered. He was attentive, pleasant and not overbearing. I've eaten lunch at Cafe Centro many times, but never dinner. The food was always very nice at lunch, and dinner was no exception. We were all very pleased with our meals. All in all a very nice experience. We'll be back.

    Family meal at this favorite restaurant. Perfect location for us to meetup at, since we come down on Metro North and the others work in Manhattan. Food is always first rate. Most of us took advantage of Restaurant week and had a good selection in the pre-set menu. I enjoyed Lamb Shanks, a perfect winter enter, but the real star was the mushroom soup course - Rich, flavorful and delicious. The service is normally excellent but our server, who was busy chatting with other waiters was not up to par. My guests were done their appetizers before we could get his attention to tell him that he forgot my soup. I can understand this if the restaurant had been super busy, but it was a Monday evening and the dining area was not so busy. We had to try hard to flag him down later in the meal as well.

    I have been going to Cafe Centro for years - I've been there for every meal and while its always been a good, consistent restaurant for business meetings with a wide option menu, which is why the lunch I recently had was a complete surprise. They advertise on the menu that there are the quick options. I took that to mean no cooking so easy to prepare. However, what it means in reality is that the meals are pre-prepared hours before and left to sit in the refrigerator. Not only that, but you order and in less than five minutes, the salad appears. You barely have time to sit-down. My guest commented "well this gives new meaning to the word quick." A burger at Shake Shack takes longer. A restaurant of this caliber shouldn't be just bringing the food as if it was sitting in the refrigerator for hours already. But when the salad arrives, there's no question that this is what has happened - the lettuce had zero crispness and it was so cold, it was devoid of any flavor. Add to that an eye-dropping $28 dollar price tag per salad and unfortuantely I will think twice before returning.

    Great atmosphere and could hear each other! In reviewing bill found they overcharged for prix fixe menu. Although they adjusted, annoying. Food nicely presented. Service just OK. Would try again, though.

    Expensive for casual lunch and the dining room is clearly designed for business lunches. Enjoyed the chop chop salad and the ability to make substitutions was appreciated.

    I ordered the chicken paillard for lunch -- I cannot remember the last time I had a worse entrée anywhere: dry, tasteless, tough, close to inedible. There is no excuse for making a simple dish this poorly. None.

    This is always a good choice if you are in the Grand Central area. I find it most convenient to come in from Westchester on the train and meet friends for dinner at Cafe Centro. The food is very good, service also and in the evening it is not as crowded or as noisy as it is at lunchtime.

    Solid, professional, under appreciated. The food is very good - though the portions a bit parsimonious. The location, style, look, ambiance and service all all a blend of New York and Paris. As I say, for a professional lunch spot, it's hard to beat.

    I have been coming to café centro for a few years with colleagues at holiday time. The food has always been good but I found the service this last time to be fair in terms of attentiveness and attitude. No specific complaints, just a different vibe from my previous experiences.

    Due to a traffic condition, we were 45 minutes late for our reservation and had a performance to get to. After we called to report the problem, the restaurant welcomed us late and went above and beyond to accommodate our need to eat within 35-40 minutes. We had pastas that were delicious and went on our way to City Center. It was my first time at Il Corso. I was so impressed by the service and I’m looking forward to going back for a leisurely and complete dinner.
