Great night, great service. Special thanks to Daniel Neri
Went above and beyond with our anniversary dinner.
Very friendly, good services!
Celebrated a birthday with friends , but enjoyed the atmosphere, conversation and food. We are frequent visitors to the Cafe Central’ and always take friends there when they visit from out to town. See you soon!!
We had the halibut special and rack of lamb and both were yummy. The artistic presentation of the halibut and the mixed greens salad was superb. Very extensive wine list and the service was attentive without being over bearing.
Great food, reasonable rates, will be back again soon
We loved it definitely coming back!
Café Central is my go to for business dinners, they never disappoint. They are the showcase for fine dining in El Paso!
Todo estuvo muy bien . Y el detalle del pastel por nuestro aniversario , Perfecto , gracias 😊
Appeared over sold tonight and not prepared for the crowd. Almost 2 hour wait for entree. General Manager was great and understanding. Will definitely return.
I made easy reservations for Cafe Central 2 weeks in advance and had an absolutely wonderful experience . I had mentioned it was for a birthday, and I would be proposing afterwards, so I asked for special attention and they did not let down. I attended on a Friday night and although it was not busy, because of my reservation they knew it was my now fiancé’s birthday, so after our meal they brought her a delicious mango colada pie without me having to say anything or signal anyone. We were also instantly greeted by an open door and live romantic music. The whole place had a great atmosphere, with the bar feeling a bit more hip and casual than the rest of the restaurant while still feeling high class. I also noticed guests dressed in everything from suits to jeans which was nice as they don’t seem to turn people away due to being under dressed. Both me and my fiancé are in our mid-twenties but look younger which usually leads to bad service since most think we won’t tip well, however this was not the case here. Our server, whose name I can’t remember as I was so focused on my proposal, was superb. He was an older gentleman and at first seemed a little serious which made me hesitant as we had never been in such an upscale restaurant and I worried he would be rude, however he was very nice and accommodating and I believe he was just being professional as I had specified in my reservation I wanted special attention. He really didn’t disappoint. Everything was ready for us without us ever having to ask for a single thing. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and once he gauged the situation to see what type of service we wanted, since every guest is different, he quickly adapted to us and made us feel much more relaxed while still giving us 5 star treatment. The outstanding food however stole the show as it was genuinely cooked to perfection. And the strawberry margaritas were also fantastic. I wish I could thank everyone by name but I highly recommend CC.
Cafe central is one of the best restaurants in El Paso, perhaps the best. They were unusually busy today so service was a bit off, but since their service far exceeds other restaurants, that just means it was on a par with others today. Usually, however, this restaurant provides outstanding service.
Everything was delicious! Decently priced too (for a high-end restaurant). It was decorated beautifully inside. We really enjoyed the live music as well. And the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back!
Lovely gem in El Paso offering excellent food, great bar and even a outdoor cigar lounge ! Highly recommend!
My second time dining. Both times exceeded my expectations. Well worth the price.
Amazing as always!
Everything was excellent.
Possibly the Premier restaurant in El Paso in my opinion. You are treated in a warm and professional manner by a courteous and friendly staff. The wine list is excellent and the sommelier will assist if you need with recommendations that will more than adequately compliment your meal. The ambience is sublime and romantic, a perfect backdrop for a special occasion. The food is prepared with diligence and served elegantly. The soups are delicious, and the Stuffed Portobello appetizer is delicious. The Chilean Sea bass and Quail Entrees are worth the trip downtown. For dessert try the Mousse Tower. You will be able to eat to your fill at a reasonable price, so enjoy yourself.
Absolutely delicious! The food was well prepared and delicious. The ambiance was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Charles our host was very professional and well informed. I highly recommended this restaurant. Thank you.
I travel all over the U.S. with my job so I eat out a lot. This place served the best scallops I have ever had. They were larger than a fifty cent piece and they were cooked to perfection. They were served with roasted fingerling potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Who knew land locked El Paso would serve some of the best seafood. The service was perfect as well. If you want a place to impress and have a great meal, you have to try Cafe Central.
Overall, Cafe Central offers a lovely venue to dine at. Their decor and ambiance takes you away from dusty ol' El Paso. Their service is still good, on the cusp of being excellent. It was busier than anticipated for a Monday evening, but I am still pleased.
We had a great time. Thanks
Would have given a higher review for ambiance except an establishment like this does NOT need a television broadcasting sports on during the dinner hour. Really? The volume was down but it still was a very distracting presence.
Estela was pleasant and easy to work with. She helped out with last minute changes for our group. Staff was great green chillie soup was amazing!
Thanks, I’ll be back.
Awesome Food, Romantic Atmosphere, Great Service. Pricey but worth it!
The waiters must have over heard us toasting for our sons birthday and surprised him with a piece of tres leches cake topped with a sparkler. It made the evening that much more special. Thank you!
First off, the place is cute and quaint. They had a wonderful singer and pianist. But then the complimentary cornbread was as hard as a cracker. I asked for my leftovers to be packed to go then ordered desert to go as well. They gave me the bag and when I got home, saw that only the desert was provided. I paid a lot of money for my meal and still had plenty left over to have a second meal. I was disappointed that I did not have it when I got home. Money and food gone to waste. That’s a big no no in my book! Beautiful place, just not the service/food level I expected.
The service was impeccable and attentive. The best food ever.
Al always, our thanks to Café Central's ownership, Chefs, waiters, and wine steward. Another excellent evening!!!
Continues to be the best restaurant in El Paso, despite several new challengers.
Sea bass is by far the best thing on the menu! Excellent service.
VERY GOOD SERVICE OVERALL VERY POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE CANDLE AND ROSE ADDED A NICE ACCENT TO THE WHITE IN THE RESTAURANT.
It’s a very intimate environment with great service and delicious food. Great for date nights!
I was very disappointed. I've gone the last two years and had great experiences. Although they sat us at a 10 top last year with only 4 people the food was great. This year was horrible. For a minimum $150 check and limited menu, you would think that the quality of service and food would improve. The waiter took our appetizers to the wrong table, took my drink to the wrong table which took more than 5 minutes to get from the bar at that (single barrel Jack Daniels), and then brought us the other tables order. The Chilean sea bass has completely changed or was just not on par with what they usually prepare. The valet did not know which key was mine and we sat around for 10 minutes after all of that waiting to leave before they asked me to come find my key on the rack. Very unprofessional and service has completely degraded over the last two years. I will change my rating should future experiences improve.
Valentines Day. We waited an hour before our appetizers arrived, service was slow, and the meal was not worth the price.
We had a great time for Valentines day!!! It never disappoints
Infortunately, this was a big disappointment. They had a special Valentine’s Day menu that was not promoted so we were surprised by it. I ordered oysters that were frozen, tasteless ice cubes. My sea bass was badly undercooked and almost raw. My husbands chicken piccata was really just fried chicken and noodles. The food didn’t sit well with me. As I said very disappointing.
Always good food when we are there. I love the fact I can take my baby with me to eat.
Fred, Phil and company always do a great job...thank you.
