Excellence, professional, prompt, attention to detail was all more than we expected. Highly recommend for a great date night!
As good as I remember. The food never disappoints. Service is always exceptional.
Had thanksgiving day dinner which was a mistake. Service wasn’t up to its usual standards. There was adequate help but still very slow. The chef needs to check quality of the dishes more carefully. The brined Turkey snd famous green Chile soup were very salty.
Thanksgiving lunch. Lovely restaurant with friendly snd professional staff. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Excelente lugar, muy buen servicio y el sabor y la calidad de los alimentos es otro nivel
Wonderful experience and great place to celebrate a special friend’s birthday.
To start you can never go wrong with the signature Cream of Green Chile Soup. Everything was delicious. A must try is the Mango Colada Pie.
Amazing experience. Celebrated a special evening out for his birthday and there was a card waiting when we were seated wishing him happy birthday. The food was amazing, service was spectacular. The restaurant is beautiful, although the seating is very close so noise level is a bit high. We enjoyed the baked escargot, lobster ravioli, and half roast chicken. They brought him out a beautiful chocolate mousse cake with a sparkler on it for his birthday dessert. Fantastic experience, definitely look forward to returning soon.
Excellent food the tamarindo mule is delicious and the beef platter
Wifey loved it so nothing much to say. I personally did not like the noise levels in the restaurant. They seated us right in front of the live music which made it difficult to have any kind of conversation.
Manny was extremely attentive and very friendly, along with the other staff. Food was amazing.
It was awesome.
I’m a great client I go 3 to 4 times in a month ! I was really disappointed with the service! My husband’s ribeye steak was cold and tasteless, his green chili cream was more like a soup. I was uncomfortable with the singer that kept flirting with a customer in the stairs for the restroom, the customer kept blocking the path for the restrooms , and when I asked politely he wouldn’t move and was rude!!!! And it was really cold !!! They wouldn’t keep the doors closed!!!!!
Everything about it was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was great, and the attention to detail was on point.
I ordered the crab avocado tower salad which was very Disappointing. The avocado was overripe and there was probably 1/4 cup of crab on the top. This is not the salad I remember from a decade ago. The recipe has drastically been altered. I hadn’t been to the restaurant since the remodeling. Our favorite now is Taft Diaz!
Great food and ambiance. Live music. The wait staff was extremely attentive and professional. Amazing service.
it was an amazing experience from beginning to end.
My Fiancee and I reserved a table for two Wednesday evening, to celebrate her Birthday. The entire experience turned out even better than our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff of Cafe Central was friendly , attentive and helpful. The ambiance, the music and the beautiful restaurant set the mood for an incredible dinning experience. Our meals were perfectly prepared and the plating was impressive. Cafe Central is clearly a Gem in downtown El Paso!
It was wonderful to visit on a day there was not live music. The last few visits there has been live music so loud we could not hear the people at our own table. It really changes the atmosphere, and I wish management would find a way to reduce the volume of the music all nights.
Anniversary celebration, and the fact the restaurant gave us a congratulations card made a very nice impact.
The service was excellent as so was the food.
Great food and service superb! Definitely worth the cost!!
Outstanding food and service. Chilean Sea Bass out of this world!
The atmosphere was amazing , the food was incredible and the service was perfection .
Delicious food, attentive service, and a relaxed atmosphere made Cafe Central a remarkable experience.
The food is always good. They go heavy on the spicier side sometimes . Last time I was here got an entree that was almost inedible due to spice like cayenne pepper. The grilled octopus this time was spicy as well. They should disclose this if they don’t.
Order the cheese plate…it’s off the menu and so worth it! Lobster Ravioli was the chef’s kiss!
Perfect from beginning to end. Everyone. Loved music too!
My mother lives here and plans to visit more often instead of Ansen II for her special occasions.
I never write reviews. I was in town on business and Cafe Central quickly became a favorite for 2 reasons. The sea bass is exquisite...I'm a foodie and have traveled widely - it's easily the best I've ever had. Second, Adam is an amazing waiter. He remembered me by name on each occasion and remembered my preferences. The sommelier is amazing too. Addendum: the second time I went the sea bass was drowned in teriyaki sauce and was totally inedible...so again, hit or miss
Wonderful evening. Although a little pricey, worth every penny.
Flavor of the food was good, but wasn’t hot enough. My steak was cooked well, but came out somewhat cool. Maybe it sat for a while. My wife’s sea bass was amazing and the best she has ever had. Service is excellent, atmosphere is amazing, but I feel the attention to the temperature when served is critical to any restaurant, especially one of this caliber.
