   Service was tremendously slow!!! Food was cold. Portions very small. Way over priced for the amount of food and the quality of the food. Go somewhere else

   We love going to Cafe Central to celebrate mom on Mother’s Day. Although the menu is a bit small for this quality cuisine, the food was excellent as usual. Our only concern was the extremely slow service we received. The entire experience was colored by the poor service so much that we often resorted to calling any waiter that passed by. The restaurant was rather busy, so to some extent it’s understandable. Until we will over charged with items we did not order. Again, for this fine an establishment we expect top shelf service always.

   Went for Mother’s Day. Didn’t know they had a fixed menu. It wasn’t mentioned on their website. Been there before and loved their regular menu. Not a fan of fixed menus. Didn’t care for the Caesar salad as it didn’t taste fresh and we had to chop it all up ourselves. It took a very very long time to get our food and when we did our steaks were cold and the sauce was dried up on the plate. Had to ask for a Side of sauce. Items just didn’t taste fresh at all that day. Steaks were cold and dry. It was crazy busy and chaotic and items were really slow to come out of the kitchen.

   It was interesting that our waiter never asked what we would like to drink. We had to ask to order cocktails. And then the same thing for dessert. Never asked what we would like for dessert and we had to ask. I did not think the food was as good as usual. The escargot was extremely salty, the crème brûlée was cold inside, and I did not like the lobster agnoletti, their new dish which did not have any real flavor. Maybe needed salt or something. But they handled our group of 12 extremely well other than that. Of course it’s pricey but you know that going in

   I have been loving this restaurant for 40 years so that says it all. It's always been one of the best if not THE best restaurant in El Paso.

   Staff is very attentive, from the time you walk in the door (always someone holding the door open for you) to being seated and served. We went there before a concert and they actually asked us if we were attending then told us they would be conscious of the time. Food was delicious and prepared as ordered. Definitely recommend this place as a date night.

    Great date night before the Diana Krall concert. Nick was a great waiter who took great care of us. Food and drink were wonderful.
