Great food. Great service. Great people. Great outlook.
Great Mother’s Day breakfast. My family was very happy with everything.
I would definitely recommend Cafe Catalina , lovely atmosphere, good food and fantastic value for money.
Great location for a relaxing meal. Good service, good value for money and good tasting coffee.
good food , good staff, I don't think the Owls do their job, hope you don't pay them. Really nice Mothers day breakfast. Thank you Guys and Gals
A relaxed place ..................................
We requested a particular area for seating but were positioned elsewhere. The waitress did try to find us a better position after I spoke up. The chicken terrine was delicious as well as the cauliflower salad. I found the arancini quite plain.
My family and I used to come here all the time. We haven't been for a while, so decided to come in for and early mother's day lunch on Saturday. From the moment of walking in, not one staff member acknowledged us. About 5 different people walked past us, not one said hi or not even a smile. We were waiting, but apparently we were waiting on the wrong side of the door. The host was looking straight at us but couldn't be bothered to walk 2 metres to meet us, so we walk over to her.
We finally got to our table and were given two menus, for four people. Apparently they've run out of menus.. but surely more can be photocopied and printed? We sat there waiting for service, watching as one server put water bottles on empty tables but failed to serve tables with actual people on them. He had to be called over so we can ask for some water.
Anyhow, we ended up leaving not long after getting there. Decided to have lunch elsewhere. Was quite disappointed how much the place has changed, for such a beautiful venue. Bad service and over priced menu. I think that's the last time we'll go there again.
As always... great service, excellent food and lovely atmosphere. Cafe Catalina never disappoints
We had our dog with us and that was no trouble for the staff. Our food selections were well prepared, tasty and there was plenty of it for our appetites. The only problem (if it can be called that), was that it was very, very noisy making a conversation at normal levels not possible. Aside from that.......a great experience.
Great position on the Broadwater. Interesting menu with fresh local food.
Lovely place to eat by the water. We had brunch and the menu was very generous.
Arrived before time and was quickly seated .Had to wait as our friends were a little late .Ordered our coffees they came out quite quick. Breakfast ordered came out in great time .Beautiful looked great and tasted better. Very happy and will be back.
Love eating here, fresh food and great service with the best view!
Great place for breakfast! Delicious food and great service.
Once again, a great place to catch up with friends or family for breakfast.
Staff always warm and friendly and helpful. Egg and bacon breakfast value for money.
Catalina's is also dog friendly.
The breakfast food we had was great, though it would be appreciated if there were more gluten-free options on the menu. Granola with oats is not gluten-free.
Very enjoyable thank you.
Parking was challenging due to an event but everything was great.
Food and service were great, but it was way too noisy. I wanted to bring my book club to Catalina every month, but the music drowned out everyone's voices. We requested that the music be turned down (most people who go out to dine want to talk - not to have to shout at each other) but nothing happened. Consequently, my book club can't return to Catalina as we'll have to find somewhere quieter, despite the fact that Catalina is one of my favourite places on the Gold Coast.
Parking is hard, service was good.
Service was slow. Overpriced for the quality of food. Limited menu.
The cafe was ok but very slow in both coffee and food being delivered to our table. That meant extra car parking fee waiting for our food The granola was very basic Had no real flavor
Always best to book.. it gets very busy on Sunday mornings... for good reason!
Meal prices were a little high.
Food was nice but I didn’t think the value was quite there.
Always good to take our pooch there and be looked after by the friendly staff. On rainy days one of the few places on the GC we can dine with our pooch. Keep up the good work! 😍
We had a great time. Wonderful food and you couldn’t fault the service it was fabulous
Great staff were non judgmental and very helpful when one of our number knocked his coffee all over the table. Food & coffee was very good
We had a great experience again. Disappointed that we missed the Sunday afternoon music which seemed a very brief set. The wait staff did not endear themselves when delivering the food to our table commenting "Now that is a lot of food!" This made us feel a bit embarrassed, but I think he thought it was funny.
This is the fourth time I have been to the cafe (2 x breakfast, 2 x lunch) and it has been outstanding every time. The service is exceptional and the food selection and quality excellent. I usually avoid eating salmon or trout at restaurants because it is so often overcooked but I decided to risk it and was not disappointed, the trout was cooked to perfection, crispy skin and melt in your mouth flesh, best I've had in a long time.
An enjoyable family lunch but meals are expensive for the serving sizes offered. As a casual lunchtime dining option it is an expensive outing. Love the venue location.
Always delicious food
As always we enjoyed our delicious breakfast with an ocean view. Service and quality of food at Cafe Catalina remains at a very high standard, well done!
Diners with pets however should be in a section of their own as not everyone enjoys the company of animals around them
while they eat.
Waiter seemed to forget about us after pooping first glass of wine
What a great open space to eat & chat! The food was tasty and we had plenty room for private conversation.
Lovely breakfast and lovely service. Try the mushrooms or the fruit.
I enjoyed the view and the restaurant was lovely. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly.
The only downfall was that the bread was over cooked in the toaster she that unfortunately over powered the eggs Benny as all I could taste was the burnt bread, the coffee I had was very well made so well made I could drink it without sugar, as none was put in my drink or sugar sachets in the table for me to use myself. It was great that the coffee was well made, as i find this very very annoying, if the coffee had been bitter I would never go back.
Great venue, love the live music.
Thanks for a great afternoon.
The food was awesome great sizing. We always enjoy the outlook and love the fact we can bring our puppy.
One of our favourite places on the coast 😍 def a must and pet friendly 🙌🏼
Was great lunch but unfortunately we had the swimming carnival noise / loud music etc next door...so was difficult to hear each other
Overall though was surprised by the venue and will be going again..
