Excellent cuisine. Beautiful atmosphere. Exceptional, personalized service.
One of the finest, most enjoyable restaurants in the country.
Superb food and very good service. We have been there only twice, the visits separated by several years, and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone with a few extra coins in his/her jeans. It's pricey but delivers at a very high level. When the occasion calls for it this is a place that does not disappoint.
Beautiful location, great wine list, wonderful service
Forgot to celebrate with candle at dessert time
Setting was fantastic as was the service. Part of the food was good, club sandwich. The Niçoise salad was not only unattractive but had little flavor.
Four of us decided to have lunch there after visiting a museum. Three of us ordered the prix fixe menu. We had the grilled romaine salad, which was very good. One had the mussels which were huge and very tender. I had the risotto which also was good. One of the gentlemen ordered the Cobb salad with a side of French fries. The other gentleman ordered the pork tenderloin. The food was very good. We also each ordered a carafe of wine, which was the equivalent of an 8 glass for $17 - 19. Rather expensive for a glass, but we were in a highly rated restaurant so that was to be expected. Our concern was with the service. Our server, Christen, at times seemed to forget about us. The French fries were not served until the very end of the meal, although the server was asked several times about them. Coffee and a cappuccino were also ordered. These were served after we had received the check and after we were finished eating dessert. We had to flag down the server several times to get our water glasses refilled. I also did not like how the servers reached across us to serve us our plates, although there was room for them to serve from the side. I would expect that in a restaurant as highly rated as Café Boulud that the servers would be trained in proper serving techniques.
We went for lunch and ordered the Prix Fixe menu - Cesar Salad, Mussels and Creme Brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious. I loved the mussels which had a slightly different sauce - shallots, white wine and a touch of fennel. We ordered two carafes if the Rose which was also delicious. The service was great and the ambiance was very classy. We’ll definitely go back.
Absolutely amazing!!! We had some incredible food. I had the steak tartare, seared scallops, and chocolate mousse. Everything was just stunning and each bite was better than the last. It was definitely a splurge and for way special occasions, but Cafe Boulud on a Thursday night out in the courtyard was just so peaceful and delightful. I can’t wait for my next experience here. Also, our server was two days into the job and already incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and treating us like we were his only guests. It was 100% wonderful.
I have been going here for years. It’s always been terrific. SOMETHING is different here now. Mediocre food and lots of stumbling and bumbling through service. Too bad. I loved this place.
As always fantastic. We love coming here when we’re in town. Service and food are over the top. Ambience is perfect for a date night.
The perfect spot for a special meal with special friends or just treating yourself to a special afternoon.
Lunch with cousins
Superb food and a delightful environment but the reason why there are Bentleys and Rolls parked outside is apparent when the check arrives! Worth every penny but unlikely to be somewhere you go regularly- unless that Bentley coupe is yours!
Always a great experience. Love sitting in outdoor garden/fountain.
Somewhat disappointed this time. The fries were double dipped and had to send back. The man sitting next to us was on his cell loud bragging about flying private, millions invested in different businesses and buying expensive wine in New Zealand. He wanted everyone to hear him, not an island resident I hope.
Always wonderful! Our waiter is always very personable .Vincent went out of his way to give me dining and sights for a upcoming trip to Bordeaux . The pasta and the scallops were outstanding!!!! I can not wait to return.
A special place. Staff is a gracious, refined, classy group who treat diners with deference and professionalism. Atmosphere, in or out, is calming and welcoming. Food, of course, is excellent. Worth the drive and expense.
Wonderful all around.
The lunch was excellent and the service was perfect.
We went to Cafe Boulud for my birthday and were not disappointed. We had such a good and delicious time. Everything started well with the charcuterie and finished perfectly with the dessert and the Madeleine. The wait staff and Vincent were attentive and friendly.
not as good as it used to be. The prix fixe lunch has been almost the same for months. The desserts used to be great and now they are not. I have been here a few times this season and won't be back this season. I will try them once more next year. There's a lot of good food in the area. If you don't keep up, you're in trouble. This used to be my favorite restaurant. The Cobb Salad was weak compared to many others in the area that I have had. The onion soup was not exceptional at all but the price was. Here's hoping to a better chef next season. The service is always wonderful and it was perfect every visit.
Amazing restaurant, great service . Food is delicious.
Nothing about this place disappoints and it certainly evokes all the right adjectives! It is fine dining in old Palm Beach, and the crowd reflects it. Use your imagination for the kinds of patrons you might be dining with. :) That isn't said as a negative aspect, just something to be aware of. If you like your date, this is probably irrelevant.
The interior design was surprisingly modern and light. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but it was an interesting break from the traditional Palm Beach style.
The service was fabulous. Our server was attentive, knowledgable, and listened very well. She made excellent recommendations by asking questions and engaging in short but effective conversations about food, wine and taste. She also brought over the sommelier to help guide us. He wasn't over-the-top friendly, but he made a recommendation we very much enjoyed with our meal. We weren't coming to socialize with him anyway and we appreciated his expertise.
The food was impeccable. Oysters were fantastic. The steak tartar was honest to goodness the BEST piece of red meat I have ever eaten anywhere. ANYWHERE--I SWEAR. The cold broccoli soup, however seemingly counterintuitive, was amazing thanks to the addition of creme fraiche and caviar. For our entrees, my husband got the duck and I got the hamachi crudo, which I've never had before (or heard of if I'm being honest!) and it too was absolutely perfect.
Following a flight of port and a small dessert plate, we spent the last half-hour of our night in the gorgeous courtyard, a fabulously designed outdoor space that appropriately balances green and glamour.
We are not frequent diners on the Island by any means, but I do hope to return to Cafe Boulud and maybe even make it to Daniel or the NYC location one day! It was a truly wonderful experience for a couple that doesn't get out very often.
Every thing was grand..other then the noise level ...”ear splitting ..
The waiter had an attitude problem. He was unprofessional and not very attentive. I would not go back if he waited on me.
Fabulous meal and outstanding service
Outstanding in every way. Two of my guests had the fixed price lunch and I had the club sandwich. All memorable.
The Dover Sole was “fishy” and very salty especially for over $60...it was an “aged fish.” The Beet Salads was poor except for the cheese. We have eaten at other Boulud restaurants and had great experiences. My fish was small and somewhat “fishy” . The wines were overpriced. The dessert was OK.
Very disappointing since we drove up tot Palm Beach from Fort Lauderdale.
As usual Cafe Bolud did not disappoint. I go here every time I visit Palm Beach County. Great food, great service and reasonably priced for what it is — fine dining.
This eatery is a MUST when in Palm Beach! The food is delicious and served by the most attentive wait staff and the ambiance is very inviting....the perfect combination for a wonderful evening.
Cafe Boulud was once, by itself, a reason to visit Palm Beach. No longer. It has gone from a rtuly first rate restaurant to a mediocre spot with little of its former ambience, much less of its formerly famous service and pretty mediocre food Chef Daniel must be preferring to stay in NYC. (Understandably!)
But Cafe Boulud Palm Beach has gone down market and lost its legendary appeal.
As always, a very pleasant experience, good service and great food. Would not stay in Palm Beach and not have lunch or dinner at cafe Boulud.
We went for date night and sat out on the patio. The food, service, and ambiance were all perfect. We ordered the pasta special and duck - the duck was cooked perfectly and one of the best duck dishes we have tried. Even though the restaurant is high-end, it was comfortable and did not feel pretentious. We were never rushed or pushed to order things. Expensive, but a nice place to splurge for a quiet date night.
Best brunch in palm beach.
Lovely and delicious!
if you go on Open they talk about an early bird special which is never mentioned or suggested at the restaurant Am slight and light eater and would have opted for smaller portions and lighter fare (early bird did not have cavier on salad) Not an issue of money but am often satisfied with two appetizers and regularly asked why I didn't finish most of my meal
Somewhat noisy especially since we went early and not that busy...
Went here last night with a friend from out of town and everything was perfect! I had a mango and passion fruit cocktail that was exactly what I wanted it to be and my friend went more traditional with a kir Royal, then we did a pairing of red wines with our courses that went beautifully with the food! We ordered multiple courses so we could try a little bit of everything. Started with the rabbit valentine and a tomato and beef salad special then moved on to a cheese filled ravioli and a mushroom cappelacci special both super flavorful and delicious! After this we had a sea bass with parsnip and a swordfish with jalapeño and lemon (yummy!) and finished with a non traditional charred duck breast cooked to a perfect medium rare. Best duck I’ve ever had! You can’t go wrong with the soufflé or the chocolate dulcey mousse to finish it off!! At the end we were both very full and merry from our evening! Will definitely be back! Props to you Cafe Boulud!
Presidents’ weekend in Palm Beach same as most great locations..Busy! This place was hopping but every way you could
rate the dinner would have to be a 5 star.
Excellent service and setting
Birthday lunch. Great!
