Wonderful meal. Great sommelier who recommended we’ll priced interesting wines. But long pregnant pauses between courses.. Dinner with three courses took more than two and a half hours. The food just didn’t come out of the kitchen.
Very good food with a French flair. Good wine selection. Our waiter knew the menu and was helpful with suggestions.
Wonderful cuisine and wonderful service. Consistently excellent!
The best Madeleine I have ever had. The service and environment is also great! I will recommend it to my friends.
Perfect brunch perfect service. Welcoming and cozy.
It was amazing.
This is a great restaurant with a wonderful feel and tip-top service....can't imagine why people show up in camo sweatpants and t-shirts, or why the restaurant would seat them dressed that way. Guess there's no where left to go out and eat where people know how to dress appropriately.
Muy mal servicio. No se inmutaron
Superb food, excellent service, a lovely setting. The only catch are the occasional loud yahoos who occupy some of the tables.
A beautiful lunch with my 2 daughters the day before my daughter's wedding. Wonderful food, excellent service, great wine.
Renata was fabulous !
Impeccable service ... divine cuisine
Excellent as always. The service is efficient and not intrusive. The food is easily the best in Manhattan. Can't wait to go back. Fortunately, we will on May 12th.
It is always a treat to receive flawless service and delicious food, beautifully presented. Cafe Boulud excels.
I had reserved a table for 7.30 !! (but intended this to be for dinner at 19.30!!!)
when we arrived they looked surprised as they could not find our reservation, but said they would quickly set up a table for us., which they did.
The maitre d’ came to our table later on and explained the booking error, which had occurred and we had a lovely evening after this.
The Boulud team is extremely polite and professional...
And the food is always great!
The lack of a tasting menu made it difficult to try a few things and not get too much food. We took the stuff we didn't finish home. Great food though!
Café Boulud is a must whenever we are in New York. It’s always great but the quenelles were fantastic.
Beautifully decorated and intimate dinning area. Service level in line with what is expected from a one star Michelin restaurant. Tried the New Mexican option, carnitas experiment is ok, I’d add something red, like salsa to balance better the flavours. Pork chop overcooked and dry.
Good wine service
Food delicious. However, we were seated at table right next to the door, which was unfortunate as it was a cold day. We had a reservation, and tables were opening up, but we're not young and one of our party did not want to relocate to another table (not that this option was offered, but perhaps we could have insisted) Staff was very helpful without hovering.
Not the worst but also not worth the trip — service was slow and food was not memorable. Tables were also so close together that I had to pull my table out just to get in.
Service is akin to that of Chinatown. Servers do not smile, do not say hello, please enjoy, thank you or say barely anything at all. Although I will say the service wasn’t snobby, it was merely absent. No affect. Food was okay and ambiance pleasant. In short, not worth the trip. Save your money.
Althou the restaurant was vistually empy when I showed up, I was given the worst possible table. I wonder if it was because I booked thru open table. Also, the servce for this type of establishment was less that graceful. No smiles, no welcome. I don't even know if there was a maître. For the price, there are much better places.
Chef Aaron is so gifted. The plates were exceptional, the food extraordinary and the service perfect. I would recommend for anyone looking to have the best feel and taste of France!
Excellent service. Good food. NYC institution.
We loved our visit to Cafe Boulud. Our table was terrific; the food and service were excellent. The prix fixe option was within reach of our budget. Thank you very much!
Always wonderful
After having had a stellar experience here for dinner a couple of years ago, Sunday Brunch this past Sunday was a disappointment. My Hake was good but overly salty. My wife's eggs benedict with crab cake was so disappointing she sent it back and substituted steak and eggs, which was acceptable but not memorable. Not an experience we will look to repeat on our next visit to NYC.
The staff was most accommodating as I made a reservation for two and then I asked to make it for four people and then five! At each instance Cafe Boulud was generous and made an effort. In the end it was a delightful experience and the food outstanding . Thank you
Decent prix fixe offerings. Seared hake was perfectly cooked! Mind-blowingly awesome desserts. Great service.
Great upper east side eatery!
I guess I had higher expectations as the restaurant was named under Daniel Boulud. As far as taste, I don’t see any rhyme or reason for the Michelin star. I had ordered the polenta appetizer, the shumai winter broth, and the hokkaido scallops. Everything but the scallops were either too salty or overcooked. I don’t consider myself a picky eater and with a wide flavor palette, I enjoy basic meals. Is it wrong of me to say my favorite piece of food was the complimentary walnut-raisin bread? I
Absolutely the best meal I have ever had. R&C is always a safe bet when it comes to unquestionably amazing quality, however this was an experience I will never forget.
As a young professional, not many places take you seriously. They underestimate your ability to tip and to appreciate the artisan that it takes to create world class food. Not here. Every step of the way I fell so in love. If I wasn’t so pleasantly stuffed I would have stayed forever.
My som was fantastic and I recommend if you do anything, have the cheese and the 1970 port. You will absolutely never regret or forget it.
I wish I could name each and every one of the staff here for their fantastic service but quite frankly after the first bite, I forgot everything I had ever known. I will be back to visit with all of my family, do yourself a favor and experience New York (and France) here.
The food is always creative and excellent. The service is stellar. You pay for it but it is worth it. This is the place we go to for special occasions.
Exceptional service & spectacular food in a relaxed. Elegant setting 5 ⭐️
I found the food to be delicious, the service to be professional, and the atmosphere exciting/electric
Terrible meal. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Passover meal was not good. Brisket was 80 percent fat. Knadles were inedibly dense. Boulud is generally excellent, but it should not venture into food it does not grasp.
Loud, unable to hear dinner companions over the noise.
Tables too close together, crowded.
Fantastic meal and service at Café Boulud. The food was delicious and staff were attentive. They brought a plate with happy birthday written and a candle and truffles for my wife's birthday which was a lovely touch.
We love more the desserts, tea and salada them main course!
Excellent service. Superb fiod
